Chapter 22: Hagrid's Cabin
So on Friday afternoon, Zhang Xiao and Harry Ron met in the foyer, they left the castle and walked through the fields, and when they approached the edge of the Forbidden Forest, they saw a small cabin.
It is said to be a log cabin, but has anyone ever seen a "small" wooden house with a door more than three meters high? In front of this gate-like door, a stone bow and a pair of rubber galoshes.
Well, they're all surprisingly big, with stone bows more like siege crossbows and rubber galoshes like baby baths.
As Harry knocked on the door, they heard a nervous struggle and a few muffled barks coming from inside the room. Then came Hagrid's voice, "Back off, tooth, back off." β
Hagrid opened the door open, revealing his large, bearded face. The three of them looked up at him together and waved in greeting:
"Good afternoon, Hagrid."
"Good afternoon, boys, wait a minute." He said, "Stand back, tooth." β
Hagrid let them in, desperately clutching at the collar of a large black hound. The dog looked like a calf.
There is only one room in the chalet. Ham and pheasants hung from the ceiling, boiling water was boiled in a brazier in a brazier, and a large bed with rags in the corner was a bedding made of rags.
"You're welcome." Hagrid said, letting go of his teeth.
Yaya wagged his tail like an electric fan, hesitated and pounced on Zhang Xiao, wanting to lick his face affectionately.
"This is Ron." Harry pointed to the loveless Ron who was being whipped by the tail of the tooth and introduced Hagrid.
Hagrid was busy pouring boiling water into a large teapot when he glanced at Ron's red hair and freckles, "Another little Weasley brother, right?" β
He handed Ron a piece of rock crust cake and added in a gruff voice, "I've spent most of my life trying to get your brother out of the Forbidden Forest. β
"This isβ" Hagrid's gaze turned to Zhang Xiao, who was having fun with Yaya, and suddenly his gaze froze on the Slytherin insignia on his chest.
"A Slytherin?"
Hagrid asked loudly without saving Zhang Xiao's face, "Harry, I'm inviting you and your friends, but I'm not willing to entertain anyone!" β
Harry hurriedly stood up and said:
"Hagrid, Zhang is a good friend of mine, he helped me a lot and gave me a lot of useful advice, really!"
Ron followed suit, "That's right! Even Fred and George say that Zhang is a different Slytherin! He's our friend! β
Hagrid looked at the anxious and worried looks of the two little friends, and muttered:
"Okay, okay, it must be crazy, Slytherin actually made friends with Gryffindor."
Then he shrugged his shoulders at Zhang Xiao:
"Sorry little guy, I'm not targeting you, I.. Uh, I hate all Slytherins. β
Hagrid looked at the teeth that were being stroked with a look of enjoyment, and finally sighed:
"Maybe I'm blind, Harry is right, Tooth doesn't usually see Slytherin like this."
Zhang Xiao waved his hand, signaling that he didn't have to care:
"Hagrid, it's okay, prejudice in people's hearts is a big mountain, it's hard to change people's opinions, and there are some people in Slytherin who hate it."
"Oh, don't tell me such a rambling sentence, it reminds me of when I was in school, when Professor Bubbaji always read us Muggle verses, and honestly, I had a lot of headaches."
Hagrid took out his tray again, handed it to Zhang Xiao, and said loudly
"Two more rock crust cakes?"
Zhang Xiao estimated that this honest big man wanted to express his apologies in this way.
Actually, he doesn't care about this in his heart, just like he hates Japan, but if you are a Japanese who calls for an admission of guilt and an apology to China, it is different.
And Hagrid was also cheated by Slytherin, outsiders don't know, but Hagrid knows in his heart that he has been wronged, so this attitude can only say that Hagrid is still an honest man.
A few people then started chatting around the stove, mostly Harry and Ron talking about life during this time, and some small complaints, such as how annoying Filch was.
Professor Quirrell disappointed them so much that he didn't say anything useful in class, just stammered about vampires.
Speaking of Professor Quirrell, Zhang Xiao also remembered the final boss of this first year.
Quirrell: He's really....
He really doesn't plan to teach anything useful!
The main one is a paddling fish, forget it.
The whole classroom was filled with the smell of garlic, and there was an indescribable stench, and the little wizard who smoked it was in tears, nauseated, and retched at every turn.
The retching sound of the last class is like percussion, one after another.
Anyway, Zhang Xiao was planning to desert the entire Defense Against the Dark Arts class, and Quirrell wouldn't care, and Zhang Xiao seriously doubted that Dumbledore knew anything, because Quirrell's huge turban was too suspicious.
By this time Harry had begun to talk about what had happened in Potions class, and Hagrid told Harry not to worry, as Snape had hardly ever liked any of the students.
"But he seems to really hate me."
"Nonsense!" Hagrid said, "Why should he hate you? β
"Chang told me because my dad didn't have a good relationship with Professor Snape when they were at school, is that true Hagrid?"
Hagrid's eyes looked at Zhang Xiao again, looking a little serious.
Zhang Xiao waved his hand: "I don't know much, I heard Malfoy once brag about how good his family and Professor Snape were." β
Hagrid then relieved himself and said vaguely:
"Okay, okay, it seems like that's the case, but I'm just a hunting ground guard, and I don't know much about the students."
But Harry always felt that Hagrid was deliberately avoiding his gaze when he said this.
Because he simply talked to Ron directly about Charlie and Dragons.
Zhang Xiao stood at the window and looked out at the large clearing outside, here on the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid had planted a bunch of pumpkins next to the hut, these pumpkins were as if they had cast a swelling spell, each of them was surprisingly large.
Harry's surprised voice suddenly came from behind him:
"Hagrid! The day of the Gringotts break-in happened to be my birthday. Probably we happened to be there when it happened!"
This time Hagrid really avoided it, and he showed his attitude with silence with an "um".
Harry and Ron didn't know what to say for a moment, and the cabin was strangely quiet, except for the "hissing" of the kettle on the stove.
"Hagrid~" Zhang Xiao turned around and pointed to a large open space outside the window: "This place doesn't belong to the Forbidden Forest, right?" Even if the students come out of the way? β
Hagrid glanced at it and nodded:
"That's right, it's still a short way from the Forbidden Forest, why are you asking this?"
"Great, can you lend me this land? Or who do I go to to apply to get the right to use the land? Zhang Xiao's eyes sparkled: "It's a pity to put such a big piece of land here!" β
Hagrid looked at him warily, did this Slytherin still show his feet after all? What evil plan does he want to carry out?
"Let's talk about what you're going to do first."
"Farming! To be honest, I can't stand the potatoes and meat every day! The most unbearable thing about Hogwarts is the food, it's too monotonous! β
Harry and Ron looked at each other, huh? They were so satisfied, it was so rich and delicious, they almost loved the school cafeteria!
