Chapter 6 Gift of Flowers

The moment Kidd showed his pocket watch, the power was restored to the museum.

Every floor, every exhibition hall, all the lights are lit, and the dark environment is full of light.

The searchlight that was supposed to shine on Kidd the Monster Thief was now turned off.

When the human eye is slightly accustomed to the darkness, and then suddenly enters the bright environment, there will be a short period of time when the person cannot see clearly.

In other words, the moment the lights in the museum were restored, everyone in the room lost sight of Kidd, the monster thief.

Even Robin, who had been trained, was caught off guard and was caught in the eye.

"Goodbye, Wonder Boy."

At this moment, Kidd's voice drifted into Robin's ears.

As soon as the voice fell, Robin's gaze returned.

He immediately turned his head to Kidd, and then he heard a thud, and a cloud of smoke suddenly emerged from his eyes, enveloping Kidd the monster thief in front of him.

Curiously, the smoke only lasted for a very short time, fleeting.

Maybe a second or two, or even a fraction of a second?

Basically, when Robin saw the smoke enveloping Kidd the Monster Thief, the smoke was already showing signs of dissipating.

Robin didn't know what Kidd the Monster Thief was planning to do with the smoke bomb that would quickly dissipate.

The two are currently in the center of the exhibition hall, a considerable distance from the four walls.

Kidd the Monster Thief was almost impossible to escape before the smoke cleared.

The door to the exhibition hall was behind Kidd the Monster Thief, and there were now a dozen security guards guarding it, and although they had just been knocked out of their weapons, it was enough time for them to get their guns back.

Not to mention that security personnel from other floors were also rushing over here, Robin didn't believe that Kidd, the monster thief, could take down so many people in a short period of time.

If Kidd doesn't walk through the gate, but prepares to jump out of the window on the opposite side, he will collide with Gordon and other GCPD troops.

Even putting aside these two reasons, Robin still has the simplest and most direct evidence.

He didn't hear any footsteps, and he didn't see any figures coming out of the smoke.

In other words, Kidd the Monster Thief should theoretically be hiding within the range of smoke.

But is that really the case? Robin doesn't think so.

It doesn't make any sense to detonate a smoke bomb that will dissipate right away and then stay where you are.

Neither can interfere with the opponent nor help him escape, so why should Kidd the Monster Thief do this?

There must be deception in it!

It's like the dummy that appeared over the museum not long ago and was used to attract everyone's attention.

Sure enough, when the smoke cleared, Kidd, the thief who was supposed to be inside, disappeared without a trace.

"Great, a problem solved, but a new one arises - where did that guy go?"

Robin's eyes narrowed slightly, and he looked around, and there were no obstacles within a radius of ten meters, except for various transparent glass cabinets, for Kidd the Monster Thief to hide.

Just then, he suddenly heard a strange noise overhead.

Bang bang!

He immediately looked up and saw that the ceiling above his head was a vent.

The sound came from the vents.

Vents?

Could it be that Kidd the Thief just took the opportunity to climb into the ventilation duct?

That's impossible!

The museum's ventilation ducts are not large, and it is absolutely impossible for a person to crawl inside.

The shutters of the vents are still intact and there are no signs of disassembly.

Not only Robin, but there were a total of six vents in the exhibition hall, each of which made a similar noise.

"Hey, did you hear any strange noises?"

Near one of the vents, a visitor with a pointed ear was the first to hear the sound and then asked questions of his companions.

"What do you say...... Wait, it looks like there's some sound......"

"I heard it too, it came from the vent!"

More and more people are noticing the abnormality on the top of the head.

"Listen, the sound is getting closer, as if something is about to run out of the vent!"

A tourist pointed to a vent in the ceiling and shouted.

Panic and curiosity about the unknown drove the citizens of Gotham to look up at the vents.

Of course, no one dares to stand directly under the vents, what if something dangerous comes out?

The same goes for Robin.

He took a few steps back, staring at the increasingly loud vents.

At this moment, Dean, who was hiding somewhere, smiled slightly, stretched out his right hand and snapped his fingers.

Syllable!

I heard a crisp sound, and something that caused a movement in the ventilation duct finally gushed out.

Boom Boom Boom Boom –

It was a white card with text and the head of Kidd the Monster Thief, flying out of the shutters of the vents.

The sheer number of cards poured out of the ventilation ducts and covered the entire exhibition hall like rain.

Immediately after, a floral scent began to fill the air.

The white torrent gushing out of the vents also floated out of the small bright red objects.

These objects are lighter than cards and fall more slowly.

"Ahh It's petals, petals of roses! ”

In the crowd, several young and beautiful girls caught a few pieces, and they were surprised to find that they were the petals of red roses.

Flower petals mixed with cards filled every corner of the scene.

In a short time, Kidd's card was gone, and the petals were still floating out.

Endless bright red petals slowly fall from the air, and the enchanting aroma fills the entire space.

On the other side, Robin had no interest in the petals, and he picked up one from the dense mass of cards that had fallen to the ground.

The appearance of the card is the same as Kidd's teaser letter, except for the content.

"I would like to dedicate this rain of flowers to the audience of my first performance, thank you for the encounter of fate for intertwining you and me, and I will present more wonderful performances in the future, please look forward to it.

Kidd the Strange Thief"

After reading the contents of the card, Robin was silent for a moment.

Without saying a word, he picked up a card again, and it was the same thing.

Each card is a message from Kidd the Thief.

"The future of the show, huh? This is a preview of the next crime......"

Robin crumpled the card in a ball, an aggressive look in his eyes.

"I thought it was just a little thief, but I didn't expect it to be quite capable, this time I was careless, I admit it!"

"But next time, I'll definitely catch you!"

Robin took a deep look at the scene, which was messed up by the rain of petals and cards, and had no thoughts of staying here.

He shot a hook at the ceiling above the glass window, and the whole person jumped high and swayed in the middle of the exhibition hall, just out of the window, and the figure disappeared into the night.
