Looking at the entire Romance of the Gods, it seems to ordinary readers that it may be the story of the Shang Dynasty Zhou, the exposition of the religion and the interception of the religion, and the very ordinary story of the confrontation between the two camps.

But the real situation is not so simple, as a good author, you always have to cram some of your own ideas and concepts into the novels you write.

And the Romance of the Gods belongs to the kind of personal three views that are very shallow, and even directly put on the bright side.

For example, what the author supports is exposition, that is, the three views behind the exposition: the concept of elite governance.

In the setting of the Romance of the Gods, the idea of expounding the religion is "carried by heaven". To conform to the trend of heaven and abide by the meaning of heaven as the founding principle. Expound the truth of the Great Dao for all sentient beings!

Therefore, the standard for recruiting apprentices is elitism, and only those innate beings with excellent roots and extraordinary qualifications are recruited. In modern terms, it is to select the best of the best, and select the most outstanding talents from each city and region, which is the enrollment strategy of Tsinghua University and Peking University.

On the contrary, the doctrine of interception refers to the interception of a glimmer of life, the so-called avenue fifty, Tianyan forty-nine, and escape one. This escaped one is the glimmer of life that the sect wants to intercept.

To put it simply, although fate has set a 98% chance of my failure, I desperately want to capture the last 2% success rate, and this interception is very much in line with what the interception did later.

After all, even if the Tongtian Sect Master knew that the Heavenly Dao was the death of Zhou Xing Shang, and the probability of the Shang Dynasty failure was as high as 98%, but in the end, he still gambled all his belongings desperately to try to seize the pitiful 2% success rate.

In terms of the strategy of accepting disciples, Guang Chengzi, a disciple of the teaching, has a sentence that can be described very well, that is, "people with hair and horns, and people who are wet and egg-born, can live together in the same group."

This sentence can be understood to mean that they only recruit noble mammals, while the sect not only recruits mammals, other insects, invertebrates, oviparous animals, etc., but even flies and mosquitoes can enter the sect and become disciples of the sect.

And in the words of the Tongtian Sect Master himself, it is that he respects the teaching of all kinds, no matter what the qualifications of the disciples are, whether they are outstanding elites or not, as long as he has a heart to learn upward, then he can become his own apprentice and get his own teachings.

And the most direct result of these two concepts of accepting disciples is that the core of the exposition is only 12 golden immortals, burning lamps, and some third-generation disciples and supernumerary disciples, adding up to no more than 100 people in total.

There are more than 10,000 disciples of the sect, and the Tongtian Sect Master is even able to arrogantly fight with the Ten Thousand Immortal Array in the end, trying to fight with the sect again.

So the problem is, the readers agree that the teaching should conform to the mandate of heaven, and God will do whatever God tells you to do, and at the same time advocate elite education, and only need to teach those few elite talents.

Or is it better to recognize the fact that the sect is intercepted, even if it is determined by heaven, it will never admit defeat, and at the same time, there is no class, as long as everyone has a heart to learn, they can get the concept of unified education?

Okay, no matter what you think, but the author of the Romance of the Gods must have recognized the concept of exposition more and admired compliance with the mandate of heaven and elite education, otherwise he would not have arranged exposition to help Zhou Guo, but would have been transferred to arrange interception to support Zhou Guo.

But Liu Xu is extremely unrecognized by this, as a child of an ordinary family, Liu Xu must have nothing to do with elite education. If the education system at that time still pursued elite education, then a small-town subject like Liu Xu would not be able to engage in any historical research in the end, so he could only be a bitter brick movers.

Therefore, Liu Xu actually likes to intercept teachings very much, and he is extremely disgusted with teachings.

However, the author cannot be blamed too much for this, because this concept was a common idea of the time.

During the Ming Dynasty, the imperial examination system, that is, the system of elite education, was pursued.

Except for a very small number of poor families who are willing to abandon their families and businesses, sell a little bit of their land, and have to provide for their children's education.

The vast majority of scholars are people in the upper echelons of the family, and only such people can leave production, be qualified to receive education, then take the imperial examination, and finally become social officials.

It is precisely because only officials and wealthy businessmen can afford to send their children to study, and when their children get ahead and gain fame, they can send their grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even children and grandchildren to study endlessly.

This is also the reason for the emergence of the so-called scholarly families, scholarly families, poetry heirlooms, and other families, because it is such a family of officials that has controlled the ruling class of society from generation to generation through high-cost elite education.

In this way, the soldier's son can only fight, the farmer's son can only farm, and the official's descendants can become officials in one round after another, so that the whole class can be completely solidified.

And the author of the Romance of the Gods is obviously also a beneficiary of this system, of course, he is not willing to destroy such a system, but he must continue to advocate the correctness of this elite education, and criticize the idea of education without class in the novel.

According to the plot in the Romance of the Gods, the reason why the sect failed was because they had no class to teach and absorbed many bastard demons, which made the entire sect miserable, killing tens of thousands of people at every turn to refine magic weapons, and at the same time promoting plagues, natural disasters and other inhumane means to justify the demise of the sect.

In this way, the idea of education without class is completely rejected, and the concept of elite education is fully respected.

In the whole novel, the only concept that satisfies Liu Xu is probably something related to Western education.

In the Romance of the Gods, the Western Sect was an extremely barren sect at the beginning, with few apprentices, and even had to fight with its own second sect leader in person.

However, with the end of the Great Tribulation of the Gods, the Western Emperor became the biggest winner, not only taking away Kong Xuan, the first person under the most capable sage, but also taking almost the entire sect to a pot.

The 10,000 immortals of the Interception Sect were taken away by the Western Sect, and several powerful disciples of the Interception Sect were also taken away by the West.

Even the twelve golden immortals such as Cihang Zhenren who taught their own family were also taken away by the Western Sect.
