Chapter 581: Where Did It Come Out?
Former Stark Tower, now Avengers Tower.
Gorgeous crystal chandeliers cast a soft light on the carefully arranged tabletop. The silvery endgame shimmered in the light, and melodious symphonies echoed through the hall, notes floating in the air.
This is a rare reunion of the Avengers since the Battle of New York. Until then, most of them were busy with their own affairs, and everyone's schedules were full. Tony has almost a dozen terrorists and copycat steel armor to deal with, Captain America has to do some chores for S.H.I.E.L.D. from time to time, and Brother Hammer is always between the Nine Realms with a hammer and various creatures to fight, and occasionally a few wizards.
Many outsiders think that the Avengers are always on guard in their building, but that's just their imagination. Gatherings like this are actually quite rare.
Tony and Thor brag for a while with a wine glass, presumably about which is better, Pepper or Jane Foster. Tony thinks it's great that Pepper can manage such a behemoth as Stark Corporation on her own, while Thor thinks that the award that Jane is nominated for that that he can't even remember the name of the award must be stronger.
After three rounds of drinking, Tony took his glass and came to Banner, who was drinking at the bar.
"I'm sure Natasha sent you a wave just now." Tony leaned his back against the bar, "What's the situation?" ”
"Don't think about it, she gave it to everyone." Banner smiled.
"That's not for sure." Tony quipped, "Trust me, I think I'm more experienced in this area." My sixth sense has always been accurate. ”
Banner shook his head, took a sip of his wine, and changed the subject: "You didn't come to me for emotional counseling questions, did you?" You still haven't given up on that theory? ”
"Ultron, that's right." Tony put down his glass, as if he was immediately energized, "You're in New York too, and you've experienced that firsthand." Alien fleets, wormholes, and we're doing our best to deal with that.
But then there is something else, something more incomprehensible to us, something more powerful than the life forms we know."
"Those?" Banner frowned, "You already know there's more than one?" ”
He had only seen the glorious giant at the Battle of New York. But when Tony said this, he seemed to be convinced that there was more.
"Yes, I've been late. There are some new experiences. I saw new enemies who claimed to be from the same world as the giant. Tony said.
Banner was taken aback: "All of them are so perverted? ”
Tony's mind quickly recalled the bloody scene of "the super beast has no pain", and the Ace killer who surrendered at the speed of light after being pulled out.
"Well, that's not true, the giant we've seen still looks the most outrageous."
"I think so." Banner breathed a sigh of relief.
Stuff like this is piled up, so what are we going to toss? Don't you have to fight at all?
"So, you've had a second encounter with that giant?" Banner took a sip of his wine, "How's your new rating?" ”
Tony groaned.
"He made me feel good. He really looked like he was willing to help. ”
"That doesn't sound like a good thing?"
"yes, even I've been thinking that lately, maybe he's really an ally? Maybe the universe is really not exactly all enemies and aggressors, and maybe some very powerful beings whose thinking and morality are detached from our human mindset because of their detachment from their strength will really fight for life and peace? ”
Banner couldn't figure out what he was talking about.
"If that's the case, doesn't that sound good?"
"Yes, but when I thought about it, I realized the problem." Tony said solemnly, "It's about putting everything about the earth and humanity into the hands of someone we don't understand at all." ”
Banner stared at the glass for a moment.
"I seem to understand what you mean." He took off his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose, "Maybe you have a point." But you know, Tony, you're proposing technology that is far ahead of our planet and our time.
Ultron it. From my point of view, it's almost a fantasy, and it's impossible to realize. You expect too much from it, we can't create something that powerful."
"Not necessarily. When I first mentioned this theory to you, it was probably just an idea. But now"
Tony gestured to his head.
"Like I said, I've had some things happen to me lately. I gave myself something called 'Desperate'."
"You've cornered yourself!?" Banner nearly jumped out of his chair.
"Oh, you've heard of it?"
"Of course, the design of that madman called Killian, AIM's living weapon!"
"Well, to be precise, he didn't design it. But the difference is not much. Tony shrugged, "But don't worry, I've made improvements." Desperate situations didn't turn me into a walking pile of human explosives, what I gained was a mental boost.
My brain is like Iron Man's operating system, which allows me to interact directly with the armor, while also giving me amazing learning ability and computing power. ”
Banner looked at Tony in disbelief.
"You're saying you've injected yourself with superpowers."
"No, I mean I've created super brain power for myself." "Of course, I'm already smart. But now I'm beyond the limits of human beings, so I can do things that humans can't. ”
"Okay." Banner sighed, "Then do you think that with the help of that desperate situation, you can do it now?" Completing Ultron's vision? ”
"There are some ideas, but they are not yet mature. That's why I need your help."
As he spoke, the lights went out abruptly. It was as if someone had poured cold water on the banquet, and the atmosphere came to an abrupt end.
"Huh? Stark, your fire is out? Thor looked up.
"Impossible." Tony frowned, "The building does not use the city power grid, it is an independent power supply from Stark New Energy." Jarvis will never happen, what? ”
There was no reply.
"Jarvis?"
Tony had a very ominous premonition. Although he still doesn't know where this hunch came from.
Immediately after, the door was pushed open.
Someone walked into the dark meeting hall.
No, not people, but machines.
Resembles the Iron Man armor, but with blue and white spray paint, and an Avengers spray paint on the chest. It staggered out, tilting its head a little dumbfounded, but its ice-blue eyes shuddered.
"Hello you."
It made a mechanical sound, sounding like it was learning to speak in a rusty way.
"My name is Ultron."
Tony: "??? ”
He almost jumped out of his seat.
No
Although he has the idea of Ultron, he hasn't done it yet?
Where did this thing come from??
