Chapter 190: Entering the Secret Room for the First Time
Late at night.
3rd Floor of the Castle...... In a women's bathroom in the hallway to the left of the staircase, there were several loud laughs and a shrill scream.
A spectacled ghost suddenly burst out through the wall.
In the next second, the wooden door of the bathroom was also opened from the inside.
Peeves laughed and followed with a handful of water-filled balloons, with a brand new bag pinned to its waist filled with balloons of various colors and plenty of ammo.
Shortly after the two ghosts left, a corner of the otherwise empty hallway suddenly twisted.
"Whew...... Finally gone. ”
Kyle lifts the illusion spell and pushes the door open in front of the bathroom.
Because it hadn't been used for a long time, the old wooden door suddenly made a tooth-aching "creaking" sound.
The bathroom was small and dusty.
Kyle didn't care, though, as he went to the pool and looked around, quickly finding the faucet with a snake carved on the side.
"This should be it......" Kyle reached out and touched the snake, muttering "The entrance to the Slytherin Vault." ”
Kyle hesitated for a long time about whether or not to come here.
Because with his current strength, if he faced the basilisk, he had no chance of winning at all.
And he's not Harry either, and won't have the help of the Phoenix and the Sorting Hat.
But Kyle came anyway.
If nothing else, even if it was for the sake of the snake in the secret room, he had to come here.
The basilisk, like the fire dragon, is almost full of treasures, and its snake molt is an extremely rare potion material, on the black market, a piece the size of a palm can be sold for ten Galleons, and it has no price.
The one in the chamber was almost twenty feet long, and it would have been stacked into a mountain if it had been replaced by Galleons.
It was not easy for him to endure until now.
Kyle touched the little snake again, and a strange sizzling sound came out of his mouth.
Open ......
While Kyle doesn't need a Parseltongue to talk to snake Fantastic Beasts, this ability obviously doesn't work on faucets.
So when he was at Newt's before, Kyle found a rune snake and learned a few dialects from it.
It's not necessarily authentic, but it's certainly pretty standard.
Because at this time, the faucet had already emitted a dazzling white light, and began to spin rapidly, and then the pool also moved.
Kyle watched as the pool slowly faded from view, revealing a pipe thick enough for a person to slip into.
Kyle fumbled around his box, pulled out his broomstick, and then slid inside.
The light in the pipe was very dim, and there was some slimy stuff all around.
Kyle rode his broomstick all the way down, making seven or eight turns before finally leaving the pipe.
Kyle gets off his broomstick.
It's a dark stone tunnel, big enough for people to stand in.
"Fluorescent flicker!"
Kyle lit his wand and cautiously walked forward.
It's just that it's so dark in the tunnel that he can only see a small area in front of him, and his shadow looks like a monster as it grows on the wet walls.
The damp ground is littered with mouse bones, and the spots are something you'll love.
Kyle walked as he watched his surroundings and was ready to run.
A few minutes later, Kyle turns around a dark bend in the tunnel, and that's when he finally finds what he's looking for.
The silhouette of a behemoth, coiled on the other side of the tunnel, motionless.
Kyle quickened his pace and walked over, raising his wand in his hand.
The light shone on a huge snakeskin, green and shining with a brilliant golden light, very vivid.
Kyle immediately opened the box and stuffed it all in.
Then he looked around again, but only found a few scattered fragments of snakeskin, and this was the only one that was complete.
Seeing this, Kyle gradually let go of the heart that had been hanging all along.
There was only one intact snakeskin, indicating that the basilisk did not move around very often.
If he guessed correctly, the one just now should have been left over from fifty years ago...... That's when Tom Riddle first opened the Chamber of Secrets.
Kyle continued to walk forward, but he didn't let his guard down for safety, still holding his broomstick tightly.
Along the way, in the spirit of thrift, Kyle didn't let go of those fragments, and took them all away as long as he saw them.
As he walked, he soon came to the end of the tunnel, and after turning the last corner, a solid wall stood in front of Kyle.
Carved on the wall are two intertwined snakes with large, glittering emeralds in their eyes.
Kyle reached out and pressed his hand against one of the gems.
It occurred to him that if he had buttoned down these gems, would this wall never be opened......
Kyle thinks so and does so.
Unfortunately, no matter what method he used, whether it was raw or hard, or magic, the gem showed no signs of loosening.
It feels as if it's one with the whole wall.
Kyle struggled for a long time, but he was only tired enough.
"Forget it, don't try......"
He looked up into the eyes of the two snakes, and let out a low, hoarse sizzle again.
The two snakes parted, the stone wall cracked in the middle and slowly slid to both sides and disappeared, Kyle reached into the chest and took a deep breath and walked inside.
On the other side of the wall was a long, dimly lit room, next to two rows of stone pillars carved with entwined serpents.
Once here, the snakeskins were completely gone, and nothing could be found.
With a wand in one hand, a rooster's neck in the other, and a broomstick under his arm, Kyle slowly made his way through the stone pillars coiled by the serpent.
Every step he took created a hollow, loud echo between the four walls of the ghostly building.
Kyle searched around until he was sure that there were no more pipe openings except for the entrance behind him, and then he walked through the room with confidence.
In front of the last pair of stone pillars, Kyle sees a statue as tall as the room itself, clinging to the dark wall behind it.
The statue shows the face of an old monkey, with a sparse beard that almost drags to the ground.
"Salazar Slytherin......" Kyle narrowed his eyes and muttered quietly, "It's not that long, or does Miss Hufflepuff look more like a legendary wizard......"
Kyle tilted his head, knowing that if he uttered the last Parseltongue, the statue's mouth would open and the basilisk would wake up completely.
"Do you want to wake up the basilisk?" Kyle thought hesitantly.
