Chapter 409: Confinement
Having lost the note with the password written on it, Professor McGonagall forbade Neville to travel to Hogsmeade again.
Maybe it's because I'm afraid Neville will lose something...... She had always suspected that Sirius Black had picked up Neville's note in Hogsmeade.
So when it was time for another visit, Neville watched the others leave the castle happily, and silently turned and went up the stairs.
Neville didn't complain about anything, but felt that Professor McGonagall was right.
He's always throwing things, he's messing up everything, and he doesn't know if the password might be better, and he can't remember it anyway.
Although this will definitely become very inconvenient in normal times, and he will not be able to enter and exit the dormitory as he wants, at least he doesn't have to worry about poking out any more baskets.
Seriously, after learning that Sirius Black had broken into the Gryffindor common room and nearly killed Ron because of his own reasons, Neville's blood was cold and he couldn't stop shivering.
After that, he had nightmares for days.
Ron became the new ghost of Gryffindor and got a new name...... A Weasley who almost lost his head.
There was no way, who made Neville most familiar with Nick, who was almost headless, naturally put Ron's face on it.
In the dream, Ron kept asking him why he had written the password on paper and gave it to Sirius Black.
Every time Neville was awakened in the middle of an explanation, the way he yelled scared everyone else, including Ron.
Seriously, in Ron's opinion, Sirius Black didn't even give him half the scare.
I don't know when it began, but the dormitory seems to have become another divination classroom.
He hadn't had a good night's sleep in days, and every time he closed his eyes, the next second he heard Neville shouting from the side...... Ron, I didn't mean to kill you.
or,
"Almost headless Weasley, let me go, it was Blake who killed you......"
The problem is that he is still alive and well, can eat, sleep, and do his homework......
And what about the almost headless Weasley, he couldn't remember how he was related to that Sir Boltington.
Once or twice is nothing, and the patience will pass, but who can withstand it every day...... It's scary.
Even if he had told Neville more than once that he had forgiven him, it would still be useless.
If it weren't for Harry's reluctance, Ron would have wanted to change dorms.
The situation has not improved until the last few days.
Neville didn't want the dream to come true, so he didn't want to know what the password was.
As long as he doesn't know the password, Blake doesn't want to use him to enter the Gryffindor common room......
Well?
Thinking of this, Neville was suddenly stunned.
He turned his head to look at the empty staircase around him, and pondered a question......
Now that almost everyone has gone to Hogsmeade, he doesn't know the password, how can he go back?
Although there must still be some senior students in the common room, the soundproofing of the castle makes it impossible for anyone inside to hear him, no matter how loud he shouts.
"Oh, how did I forget this!" Neville thought to his chagrin as he wandered aimlessly around the castle.
As he turned a hallway on the fourth floor, he suddenly noticed that there was an extra person in front of him.
"Harry!" Neville shouted in surprise, "I forgot you weren't going to Hogsmeade either!" ”
He was genuinely happy...... Now I can finally go back to the common room.
"Hey, Neville." Harry quickly walked away from the statue of the hunchbacked witch and said, "What are you doing here?" ”
"Nothing to do." Neville said, "Want to play Crackle Blast, I happen to have a new deck in my dorm?" ”
It was so cold outside, and he missed the warm fireplace in the common room now.
"Hmm...... Not now......" said Harry, who was now just looking for a reason to get out of Neville and make his way to Hogsmeade through the secret passages.
"Next time, I'm going to the library to write that paper on vampires assigned by Professor Lupin......"
"Great." Neville said in surprise.
Going to the library was a good option, and he just didn't understand the lesson.
"Can you help me......"
He suddenly closed his mouth and gasped slightly, looking behind Harry.
It's Snape, and Kyle.
They seemed to have just come down from upstairs and were talking.
"Professor, I'd be happy to do you a little favor, but today is Hogsmeade Visit Day, and I'm out of time now......"
"Pay attention to your wording, it's not helping, it's confinement." Snape said without looking back, "If you don't make potions in the correct order next time, you won't have to go to Hogsmeade again." ”
"But there's nothing wrong with my hair erection potion, it's standard turmeric." Kyle said.
"Don't you understand what I'm saying? How many times do you want me to repeat it, your steps are not right in the book! ”
As he spoke, Snape's gaze suddenly flickered.
"What are you two doing here?" He paused and glanced at the two of them, "It's weird to meet here. ”
Snape looked around, and finally followed Harry's gaze to the statue of the hunchbacked witch.
"We didn't meet, we just ...... Just bumped into it. Harry said nervously.
"Really?" "You're always used to being where others don't expect you, Potter, and there's very little good reason," Snape said...... I suggest you two go back to Gryffindor Tower, that's where you should be. ”
Neville and Harry fled quickly.
After they left, Kyle looked at Snape and asked, "Then I ...... too"
"You can't do it yet!" Snape said without hesitation.
"But isn't the matter for the fat lady on the eighth floor all settled?"
"That's only part of the story." "Now I have something else to do, an hour later in the basement classroom...... If you dare to be a second late, I guarantee you won't be able to go to Hogsmeade again. ”
With that, he turned to look at the statue of the hunchbacked witch, and from time to time he tapped it with his wand.
"Okay, Professor!"
Kyle didn't look at Snape anymore and left the hallway.
There was only an hour, and it was certainly impossible to go to Hogsmeade, and he was going to find something else to do to pass the time.
Walking further to the second floor, Kyle encounters Neville again.
He leaned against a pillar at the side of the staircase, looking idle.
"What are you doing here?" Kyle asked, "What about Harry?" ”
"Oh, we were going back to the tower, but Harry said there was something else to do, and left.
I didn't know the password, so I was going to go to the library for a while. ”
"What about you?" He asked, "Why did you show up on the fourth floor with Snape and not go to Hogsmeade?" ”
"Obviously, no." Kyle said, "I'm in confinement, and I just added some special potions to the portrait of the Fat Lady on the eighth floor.
The next time Blake wanted to tear up the portrait again, it wouldn't be so easy. ”
"That's good," Neville said happily...... "we're all fed up with that Sir Cadogan, who doesn't want him to come back." ”
"Where are you going now, back to the common room?"
"No, I'm going to go to the library." Kyle shook his head and said, "It just so happens that I still have a few classes to finish." ”
"That's great." Neville's eyes lit up, "Can you help me?" I never understood the vampire lesson, whether garlic had to be eaten to be useful, or ......"
