It was another night sentry, and I was arranged to stand guard at the gate of the camp with the deputy on duty.

At 1 a.m., we arrived at the sentry post on time with our guard sticks. Due to the intense training during the day, the squad deputy began to doze off in a daze after a short period of energy. I patrolled back and forth, the sentry post was 5 meters away from the inside of the camp gate, and 15 meters in front of the camp gate was a national highway, two-way single lane, and the traffic flow was usually high. The road is about 5 meters, and on the other side of the road is the local farmland, and there are about 9~10 graves inside.

In fact, I have always understood that the design of our camp gate is facing the cemetery group, although it is blocked by a sign of military and civilian families in the middle, but it is still strange.

Around 1:30 a.m., I suddenly noticed a blurry white shadow directly opposite the gate of the camp, under the roadside sign, which was difficult to see clearly because it was dark. So I subconsciously leaned forward, about 20 meters away, and then I could barely see that it was a long-haired woman in white, standing on the side of the road, raising her right hand, but I still couldn't see her facial features. I wondered as I muttered:

"Why is there still someone taking a taxi so late~"

The deputy was woken up by my words and asked me what was wrong, and I raised my head to signal him to look and said:

"There seems to be a woman on the road taking a taxi, and it's been three watches in the middle of the night..."

The squad deputy turned his head and looked,

"Do you think it's a taxi, there are car accidents and deaths on this national highway at the entrance of our camp every year, and it's all in the summer..."

The deputy of the class said that I realized that I had bumped into something again, because I had experienced this kind of thing before, so I was not very panicked, and on the other hand, it was also because it was too hard to stand guard, so I stared at it very carefully.

In the distance, I saw the woman with her right hand raised, facing the side of the road, and the scattered cars sped by, and the lights flashed and disappeared. In fact, sometimes seeing is more acceptable than not seeing, and after about half an hour of tossing and turning, it finally disappears.

I don't quite know why we have so many encounters with these things in our camp, and even the company often has strange things. A recruit suddenly talked nonsense when he went to the toilet in the middle of the night, and then he had a high fever and was sent to the hospital. In addition, there were a lot of sick cases in our company overnight, and they were all serious illnesses that we had to go to the general hospital to see, my ears suddenly couldn't hear, my legs were swollen, and I had a big rash on my body... Later, the company commander also felt strange and reported to his superiors, and finally placed a 2-meter-high stone at the main entrance of our company, which was said to have cost 30,000 yuan, and then it stopped. There are many other stories about our camp, and it has not been peaceful anyway.

I was discharged from the army in December 2015, and in 2018 my old unit was reorganized, and I heard that the camp was also abandoned, but this place that carries the memories of my youth for 5 years will always exist in my heart and will never disappear!
