Trick 37 "Stone Monkey"

All things have spirits, plants, trees, stones, and insects, and they can only be cultivated in the world, and they can be practiced on the ground.

Although my hometown does not have any famous historical sites, it is located in the central area of the Central Plains, one of the Kyushu states in China. In history, it is also a place where soldiers must fight, which also leaves a lot of legends for this small county town that accommodates it.

There is a secretary of the story of "Xue Rengui's Expedition to the East" is here, this legend has been sung on both sides of the Yiwu River for a long time, and it is still a household name until now, which is not unrelated to the historical relics he left on the bank of the Yihe River.

There are majestic statues of him in Gumei Park in Shandong Xincun in the upper reaches and Huayizha Yulin Resort in the lower reaches, and there are also relics in many villages in Chenlou Town along the river.

Seventy-two ancient wells: It is said that when Xue Rengui of the Tang Dynasty conquered the east, he once tun soldiers and horses in the territory of Chenlou and built a central camp. Later, the village where the central camp was built was called "Xinying", which is now Xinying Village.

In order to provide drinking water for soldiers and horses, Xue Rengui personally led his subordinates to dig wells, and dug seventy-two wells in just one afternoon. Most of these wells have small mouths and wide bottoms, and are mostly made of bricks. When Xue Rengui's troops withdrew, in order to use them again when they returned in the future, he ordered the troops to cover all 72 wells with thin stone slabs.

Now the ancient well has dried up, and only more than ten eyes remain.

Horse training farm: In the territory of Chenlou orchard, 1 km south of Chenlou Village, there is a horse training farm, which is said to be the place where Xue Rengui tamed horses.

In the early eighties of the last century, when the masses dug a ditch here, they dug out a brick tomb, and buried the bones of a military general in the tomb, and the burial goods were a war sword, which was identified as a weapon of the Tang Dynasty by cultural relics experts.

The origin of Zuozhuang Village: Zuozhuang Village was once the garrison of Xue Rengui's left soldiers and horses, only 1 km away from the horse training field, so it was called "Zuozhuang".

Later, due to the increase in the number of residents, it was divided into two villages, Zuodong and Zuoxi. At the end of the seventies of the last century, when the water conservancy was built, the local farmers dug up the remains of the ancient pot stove in the north of Zuodong Village, and the ash at the bottom of the stove was still faintly visible.

Dianjiangtai: 2 kilometers east of Chenlou Village, there is a large mound of earth, 3 meters high, covering an area of nearly one acre.

This is the ancient book records of Xue Rengui's "horse stepping on Huayi, artillery beating Caoqiao Pass" of the parade point Jiangtai, in the northwest corner of the point of Jiangtai 50 meters, there is a big pit, the legend is Xue Rengui's treasury, before liberation, there is a surname of the peasant here to dig out a lot of small copper coins.

Stone Monkey Land: Stone Monkey Land is close to Dianjiangtai, covering an area of more than 10 acres, and is said to be the cemetery of Xue Rengui's generals.

There is a stone pillar at each of the four corners of the stone monkey land, about 3 meters high, there are countless stone monkeys, stone lamps, stone tripods distributed in the middle of the stone pillars at the four corners, the stone monkeys are the majority, so it is called "the stone monkey land".

Later, the four corner stone pillars were destroyed, and now only 4 stone monkeys, stone lamps, and stone tripods remain, and there are more than 10 tombs. Clay pots, ancient swords, and ancient coins have been unearthed in this tomb group. In 1998, a villager dug up a Ming ingots weighing 48 taels here, and another saying of "stone monkey land" is the ancestral cemetery of Yuan Qi, a martial artist in the Qianlong period of Yuanwan Village.

I also heard a legend about the stone monkey, when I lived in a relative's house in the village at the foot of Aishan, and often went with my relatives to work in the fruit tree fields on the mountain.

Aishan, as mentioned earlier, although it is not a very high and famous mountain, but this mountain has existed since ancient times, with the erosion of the sun and the moon, it has become less and less outstanding, but it has witnessed the historical changes of the upper and lower millennia, and many related stories around it have been handed down to this day.

Legend has it that in the early days, there were always clouds and mist on Aishan, and during the day, all kinds of snakes, insects, rats and monsters would crawl out of a cave on the mountainside and surround dozens of families living under Aishan.

Because the village needs firewood and grass to cook and live every day, but Aishan is not very big, and there is not much firewood and grass, only some near the cave, but no one dares to cut it, for fear of hurting snakes, insects and rats.

One day, an old Taoist priest with a white beard and white eyebrows traveled to the mountain, and when he walked near the cave, he saw at a glance that the cave was a place where spirits gathered. The old Taoist priest pinched his fingers and learned that the spirits of this cave often go down the mountain to disturb the people, which is a disaster.

So the old Taoist priest looked around at the giant trees and strange stones near the entrance of the cave, and finally locked his eyes on a large stone shaped like a monkey.

After seven days and seven nights, the old Taoist priest finally carved the strange stone into a two-meter-high stone monkey stone statue, and stood the stone monkey upright in front of the cave, silently recited a mantra in his mouth, and pointed his index finger, and then turned around and went down the mountain.

When he reached the head of the village at the foot of the mountain, a boy who was herding cattle came to him, and the old Taoist priest stopped the boy and gave him a golden bean, so that the boy could sing when he returned to the village, "There are strange holes in the mountains, there are strange spirits in the holes, and now the stone monkey town comes and goes freely." Seeing the cowherd boy happily singing these five words and four sentences and walking back to the village, the old Taoist priest laughed and brushed his sleeves away.

When the village heard about this strange thing, everyone didn't believe it, and there was a lot of discussion, there was a member of the village surnamed Ma, everyone called him Ma Yuanwai, and there was a hard-working and brave young man living in the village, called Wu Dagang, he lived alone, and lived by going up the mountain to chop wood every day.

Wu Dagang didn't dare to cut it at first, but later he heard that the basilisk didn't come out in the dark, so he wanted to try it.

One day after dinner, Wu Dagang came to the cave to chop wood, chopping and chopping, and suddenly the sky was overcast, and he couldn't see his five fingers. When he looked up, he saw a flash of fire in front of the stone monkey, which illuminated the entire hill red, followed by a loud bang.

Wu Dagang was frightened by this movement, and hurriedly stopped the firewood knife and took a closer look, hey! There was a hole under the stone monkey, and Hesse was bottomless. Many white snakes guarded the entrance of the cave, and their mouths were still spraying mist. After a while, a monster that looked like a monkey but not a monkey crawled out of the cave and came straight to Wu Dagang.

Wu Dagang thought that this monster was going to harm him, so he held the firewood knife tightly and prepared to fight to the death. But the monster came to him and did not bite him, but turned and walked towards the little ravine to the north. Wu Dagang was curious, followed closely behind the monster, followed him to the ravine, and shocked him.

Seeing this monster standing by a pile of firewood and nodding at him, Wu Dagang thought: This small ravine was empty before, how can there be all this firewood now? When I looked closely, it was really a pile of firewood, and it was still shining, but at this moment the monster was gone.

In order to find out, Wu Dagang returned to the entrance of the stone cave and saw the monster sitting cross-legged there. He immediately stood still, and saw the monster spit out a small stone ball from its mouth and roll quickly at his feet.

Wu Dagang picked up the small stone ball and put it in his hand, and the monster disappeared again. Then he boldly entered the cave, and saw that it was pitch black, and when he took a few steps forward, he saw a little fire in front of him, and when he looked closer, he saw that the monster was sleeping in it.

Wu Dagang didn't alarm it, he wanted to see what else was in the cave. Just as he was about to walk forward, suddenly there was a loud noise, and the clouds came, which frightened Wu Dagang's eyes tightly.

At this time, the white mist was blowing, and a strong wind was blowing, and he felt that his body was floating, as if he had gone up to the sky, and after a while, the wind stopped blowing, and he opened his eyes. But he was standing outside the cave, and the small stone ball in his hand shone brightly.

He thought the little stone ball was fun, so he took it and walked home. As soon as he entered the house, the small stone ball cracked a little bit, and after a while, it changed a lot of grain and a lot of firewood, and the next day, Wu Dagang told the villagers about this experience, some said that Wu Dagang met the fairy family, and some said that Wu Dagang had a good heart and got the help of God.

From then on, Wu Dagang had to bow three times in front of the stone monkey every day when he went up the mountain to chop wood. When he returns, the monster will spit out a small stone ball to him, and when he comes back, he can conjure up a lot of food.

One day in the middle of the night, Wu Dagang took a small lantern pen and went to worship this monster, he came to the entrance of the stone monkey cave and was worried that there was nowhere to hang the lantern, and suddenly an iron nail popped out of the ground. He picked it up and nailed it into the stone, and by chance, he did nail it in, and then he hung the lantern on the nail, and the little lantern lit up the whole hill.

Since then, Wu Dagang's life has been getting better day by day, and he has built five houses and married his daughter-in-law.

After going back and forth, the news reached the ears of the horsemen. He called Wu Dagang and asked him to go to the stone monkey to meet the monster and get the treasure ball. Wu Dagang didn't go at first, and then he was forced to have no choice but to agree.

The next day, Wu Dagang came to the entrance of the cave with the horsemen, who first worshiped the stone monkeys three times, and then put the offerings they brought at the entrance of the cave. The horseman was afraid that the treasure ball would be taken by Wu Dagang, so he drove Wu Dagang down the mountain.

The horseman waited for a while, and the monster really came out, and spit out a small stone ball from his mouth, and the horseman picked up the small stone ball and ran home.

As soon as he entered the house, the small stone ball cracked, and out of it crawled a snake, whose eyes grew bigger and bigger, and wrapped around him tightly, and in this way the horse was bitten alive by the snake.

But when the villagers of the small mountain village went to visit the monster again, they all got food, and everyone's life became better day by day. The stone monkey is still there to this day, and the cave is still Hessian. The iron nails that were nailed into the stone were also nailed there, so that all those who did not believe in it, after seeing it, worshiped the stone monkey devoutly.

When I heard this story, I followed my relatives to remove insects in the fruit grove on the mountain, and when I looked at the secluded mountain in the distance, I felt a wave of fear in my heart. But then I went up to the mountains to look for it, but I found nothing, and my relatives told me that it only appears when it snows heavily in winter.

Because the villagers are becoming more and more greedy, the number of stone monkey apparitions is becoming less and less, but there are also many loyal people, in order to distinguish, the stone monkey will only appear during the cold winter snowstorm, but it is also because of people. It is also said that the stone monkey has already become an immortal after cultivation and perennial accumulation of good deeds, and it is ranked in the immortal class.

Nowadays, the whole of Aishan has been developed into a tourist attraction, which is good, but the negative impact is also huge. The mountains no longer have the shadow of nature, and many old places and old landscapes can no longer be seen.

Once I went to a temple on the mountain to play, and even saw a fat monk coming out of the back door, holding a mobile phone and holding a woman...

Maybe in the near future, some things that should have existed for tens of millions of years will also be consumed by our greed and desire.

Up, middle and down, heaven and earth, heaven and earth cannot be lost, and people in the middle dig are inorganic.
