Chapter 348: Destination
Bai Ye nodded, a flash of coldness in his eyes. He walked up to Clint, patted him lightly on the shoulder, and said in a calm tone:
"Yes, it's the Red Tank. He escaped the Unification Wasteland, and we have not been able to trace his whereabouts so far. β
"This time I want to find him and solve the problem once and for all."
Hawkeye was stunned, his gray eyebrows furrowed slightly, and he seemed to touch on some sensitive memories in Bai Ye's description:
"Red Tank? I didn't expect it to be him, if I'm not mistaken. He was there on the day of the collapse of the Baxter Building."
His voice carried a deep memory, and his eyes became a little misty. The collapse of Baxter Tower, and the fall of the Fantastic Four it represents, is an unforgettable catastrophe for the people of this wasteland.
In the training room, the remains of the robot were scattered all over the ground, emitting a slight smoke. The machines that had once been alive were now in shambles when they were pierced by Clint Patton's arrows. The hissing sound of electricity echoed through the air, accompanied by a slight crackling of mechanical parts, which permeated the entire training room.
Clint Patton stood at the center of the battle, his gray-haired gaze contemplative, and his deep eyes revealing a hint of silence.
The cacophony of robots destroying and fighting slowly subsided, and the smoke that filled the training room gradually cleared. Clint's eyes left a haze in the air, as if he was recalling some old memories.
At this moment, Clint didn't speak, he just stood there silently, staring at the wreckage of the robot in front of him, his thoughts seemed to drift away, going back to the past years.
The veteran, who was once one of the Avengers, is immersed in this robotic graveyard, seemingly silently paying tribute to his former companions.
The silence in the training room is like a pool of clear lake, reflecting the thoughts of the two of them deep and quiet.
In the midst of this silence, a decisive goal gradually emerged in Clint Barton's mind: to find the Red Tank and solve the threat that was raging in the wasteland.
"White Night, Red Tank is not an easy guy to deal with, and the circulation of information in the wasteland is limited, so it is not easy to find him."
Hawkeye looked up and said, his voice low and powerful.
He paused, then continued, "But since you found me, I think you must have some clues or information. Tell me, where do we start? β
"It's not that easy little thing, Clint. Not only is it able to sense the fluctuations of the wind, but it also has some mysterious tracking functions. I believe that with the help of this, we will be able to find traces of the Red Tank. β
White Night waved the staff of Vatum in his hand, and the breezy yellow light danced on the body of the staff, like a faint flame. His smile was playful and confident, as if the wand in his hand was his right-hand man, capable of unlocking the mysteries of the wasteland.
Vatum's staff emitted a faint glow, gradually condensing into a yellow ball of light, floating above his palm. This ball of light seemed to contain some kind of mysterious power, flickering with subtle runes.
Clint Barton blinked, staring at the Watum Staff in White Night's hand, a hint of doubt in his eyes.
He may not know much about the power of this wand, but as an experienced warrior, he knows that there are too many unknown powers in this world, including magic.
"You found this thing?" Clint asked, his eyes slightly curious.
"Yes, yes. Left behind by one of my enemies. β
White Night said as he raised Vatum's staff into the air. With his gesture, the ends of the wand began to spew out faint yellow light, forming a virtual image. The image gradually becomes clearer, revealing a scene deep in a canyon.
In the image, the canyon's steep rock walls pass by, and the yellow light flows like gurgling water, outlining the canyon's outline. White Night's gesture changes again, and the image zooms in, focusing on somewhere deep in the canyon.
As the image changes, a dilapidated tavern gradually emerges into the frame. The mottled wooden surface of the tavern's façade reveals the vicissitudes of time, and the tattered signboard is crumbling, apparently abandoned for a long time.
A yellow glow illuminates the surroundings of the tavern, making every detail visible. The dust remaining on the windows and the weeds growing through the cracks in the stone bricks at the entrance of the tavern are all displayed in detail in this virtual image.
White Night stared at the image, a decisive glint in his eyes. He took a deep breath and stabbed the staff of Vatum downward.
The yellow light in the image fluctuates, as if a wave of energy is spreading. Then, the image fades away, and the yellow light of the Watum Staff resides, but eventually turns into an arrow pointing west.
White Night withdrew his hand and stared at Clint with a determined gaze.
He was no longer speechless, but his eyes revealed determination and confidence in the Red Tank. The entire robot training room was illuminated by yellow light, like a silent magical field.
"We know where he is, and now we just need to go to that tavern deep in the canyon to find the Red Tank. Get ready, Clint, for an unusual matchup. β
Clint Barton nodded silently, a hint of determination in his eyes.
This matchup may not be easy, but as an experienced archer and member of the Avengers, he has long been accustomed to facing a variety of challenges.
"Ready, let's go." He said with a deep breath.
The two walked out of the training room together, through the corridor of the laboratory, and to the top floor of the Baxter Building. The elevator doors opened, and White Night and Clint stepped into the elevator and pressed the button that led to the top floor of the building.
The elevator rises slowly, and through the glass of the elevator doors, they can see the massive cityscape unfolding beneath their feet, with neon lights reflected on the surface of the high-rise buildings. The interplay of light and shadow between the buildings creates a busy atmosphere of a modern city.
With the slight tremor of the elevator, the moment the two reached the top floor of the building, the elevator doors opened, and they were greeted by an open-air platform, the wind blowing their hair, the night sky was dotted with stars, and the city lights flashed in the distance.
From here, it's almost impossible to tell that this is a city that has been through war.
Standing on the top floor of the building, they looked into the distance, the wind blew and cooled, and the night enveloped the whole city. Not far away, an advanced flying machine was parked, waiting for them to depart.
The aircraft was like a black lightning bolt, equipped with the latest flight technology. The portholes reveal a faint blue light, and the surface of the ship reflects the brilliance of the starry sky.
The two men boarded the ship, and the hatch slowly closed.
The aircraft takes off into the sky and travels through the city's neon ribbon into the night sky. The tall buildings slowly shrank below, gradually turning into a distant light and shadow.
