Chapter 290: Humanoids
Ten torpedo ships of the Tyrone fleet began to converge towards the front of the fleet.
These torpedo ships are a new type of ship, and they are used to fire torpedoes at the enemy, and in order to maximize the ability to fire torpedoes, they are not even equipped with light spears or arc weapons.
The torpedo ships gathered and opened fire on countless bioships in front of them, and a total of thousands of torpedoes flew off the launch tubes.
The bio-ships located in the torpedo path released a cloud of black fog, which was composed of large and small flying insects, which were like brave carrier-based aircraft, and when they found that the biological munitions they fired could not penetrate the torpedo shell, they chose to gather together and directly ram the torpedo.
The conveyor loader inside the torpedo ship sends a new batch of torpedoes directly from the arsenal into the launch tube, where it fires again.
The number of torpedoes fired was the same as before, but this time they were all heavily protected torpedoes, interspersed with ten larger, slower torpedoes.
Half of the first torpedoes that were shot out were intercepted, and the remaining half exploded in the bioship group, carrying different warheads with different effects.
Some exploded directly, some unleashed a sea of arcs, and some released hundreds of spears of particle light like flashing lights.
These torpedoes destroyed at least three hundred biological ships, and the hive fleet immediately intercepted them at any cost as soon as they realized the power of the torpedoes.
A large group of Stranglers swooped down on the second batch of torpedoes, and more biological carrier-based aircraft swept over.
But the second batch of heavy torpedoes had the ability to protect themselves, and the close-in weapons on board began to fire at biological carrier-based aircraft.
The Leviathan Hive Fleet was informed of the Hive Will, and it did not understand the point of anyone equipping torpedoes with close defense.
These heavy torpedoes flew slower, only with close defense, and although they did intercept some attacks, their speed meant that they were not at all as effective as the first light torpedoes.
But among the heavy torpedoes were ten torpedoes of larger size, which were the main force of the second attack.
The heavy torpedo swarm repelled the Creature Carriers, and the hole flew through the incoming Creature Ships towards the hive fleet's more core area.
Eventually, ten super-heavy torpedoes detected themselves and arrived at the center of the hive fleet and immediately blew themselves up.
A dimensional rift appeared on the battlefield, and the bioship located at the location where the rift occurred and nearby it were all swallowed up.
Dimensional torpedo.
Tyrone Tech version of the vortex torpedo.
Any creature swallowed by dimensional space will have its soul torn apart due to lack of protection, and soulless empty shells will be accelerated by aging and decomposition in the waves of time in dimensional space.
The Hive Will is aware of the threat of torpedo ships, but it does not deploy bio-ships to attack the torpedo ships at the front of the fleet, because although there are thousands of bio-ships engulfed by the rift, it is still an acceptable loss for the entire Hive fleet.
The bio-ships are still obsessed with dividing the human fleet, and they are almost there.
This defeat had a chain reaction as a frigate on the far left side of the fleet was bitten and the cruiser next to it was captured by the tentacled Devourer.
The fleet is gradually scattered, and it is about to be split in half by biological ships.
Quarren realized that the fleet could only advance here for the time being, and that there had to be a means to shelter the fleet at this time, and then give the fleet time to regroup.
Adam was also aware of this.
"Enable the defense platform."
When Adam's order was communicated to the Orbital Dockyard, the defensive platforms parked in the Dockyard were immediately activated, and they were neatly teleported out of the Orbital Dock and teleported around the fleet.
The defensive platform carried even more weapons than the battleships, countless light spears pierced through all biological ships in the attack range, and a large number of heavy torpedoes poured out from directly under the platform and flew next to the friendly ships that were about to be devoured, and the melee weapons on them assisted the ships in their defenses.
After firing non-stop with the Light Spear for five minutes, two crimson balls of light shot out of the main cannon in the core, melting everything in its path.
When it flew fifty kilometers away, the ball of light turned into a scattered rain of beams, and the bioship below the Devourer was shot into a thousand holes.
At this point, the Orbital Dock rises directly above the fleet and fires an arc at the creature fleet diagonally below.
Under the double blow of the defense platform and the orbital dock, the swarm fleet can only temporarily avoid the edge, and circle around the orbital defense platform and the human fleet protected by it, trying to take out the defense platform.
But no matter how you try, the shields of those defensive platforms will have a blue light flowing back and forth between the platforms to repair the shield when it is about to collapse.
The Hive Will realizes that these platforms are the same as those left behind by enemy ships over Baal, and either destroy them all or dodge them.
The human fleet was rapidly reorganized under the protection of defensive platforms, and the damaged ships entered the orbital dock for rapid repairs, all the previous efforts of the biological ships to divide the fleet were all in vain.
The human fleet marched forward again.
The defense platform was teleported directly to the Zerg mothership.
Quaron hoped that the platforms would sink the biological mothership, but it soon became apparent that the commander of the hive fleet seemed to have the ability to foresee the future, deploying some of the Krakens to the direction from which the platforms were teleported, overlapping with the Krakens when the defensive platforms appeared outside the dimensional space.
Psionic energy.
Quaron thinks that only psionic power can explain all this.
Just like the Zerg have psionic combat unit brain worms, humans can do it by using psionic energy to predict the future, and of course they can.
Although the attempt to use the defensive platform for decapitation was unsuccessful, the fleet, which had time to repair and regroup, was able to move forward.
Everything is going as it was before.
Under siege by bio-ships, the fleet struggled to advance, and the enemy's motherships kept their distance at all times.
"If it keeps running, we won't be able to catch up." Quaron said to Adam.
"Of course I can't catch up." Adam calculated, judging from the speed of his own fleet, trying to catch up with the biological mothership would be tantamount to wishful thinking, but this was expected, and there was a solution.
"Get as close as possible, and when we get to the 700-kilometer range, we can teleport steadily."
"As long as the hive fleet can't fill all the gaps within seven hundred kilometers with one creature ship next to each other, we can teleport over."
Adam spoke his mind.
Quaron thinks this is possible, but at the moment, there are bioships all around, and it is so dense that it is impossible to even use teleportation to drive a while.
The fleet continued its difficult trek.
Just when both Quaron and Adam thought that the war would be extremely difficult, a flame flew from the surface of the planet Baal into space and headed straight for the fleet.
Nothing could stop it, and the creature ship's chitin carapace was vulnerable to the flames, and it didn't even change its course to bypass some of the larger creature ships, but crashed through them and rushed in front of the fleet.
As it got closer, Adam saw that it was not a fire, but a humanoid creature covered in flames.
