Chapter 9: The Eye of Change
Dean. Jialan felt uneasy and took a deep breath to calm herself.
"I remember that the strangeness of my eyes started when I came into contact with the Philosopher's Stone, and Mr. Kailin was there at the time, but why didn't she say anything?" Dean. Jialan really couldn't understand.
"I should take a magic stone tomorrow and try it, I don't think Mr. Kailin will mind." Dean. Jialan made a decision in her heart.
Putting the eye thing aside for a moment, Dean. Jialan pulled out a palm-sized parchment book from her bosom, a commentary on a meditation manual and the only thing that embodied Kaylin as a teacher.
"After losing my power, I never thought about trying again, but now I'm so hungry for power, it's a great irony."
Dean. Jialan gently opened the codex, and the next moment, the expression on his face instantly froze, and he saw countless annotations densely annotated on the pages, just like ghost drawings.
"Oh my God, how many hands has this cheats gone through."
Looking at the dense handwriting, Dean. Jialan felt a headache, he really didn't know what to say to Kailin.
"Teacher Kailin, why are you bothering, what a naughty woman."
Frustrated as he threw the Codex on the desk, Dean . With a helpless smile on her face, Jialan reached out and rubbed her head.
"Dean. Jialan, you are such a fool, why didn't you ask Uncle Ante for a few books when you parted, because your stubbornness caused the current situation. ”
A self-deprecating sound, Dean. Jialan picked up the codex from scratch and read it carefully, sometimes frowning and muttering a few words, sometimes stretching out and smiling.
Poop!
As the melodious bell rang, Dean. Jialan closed the codex he had finished, and he looked out the window.
"It's twelve o'clock, my talent is really lost forever, and now I can't even read basic books, it's really hopeless."
Dean. Jialan smiled and laughed at herself, and tucked the codex into a drawer, out of sight and out of mind.
"Relax, maybe when I solve my eye problem, everything will be different." Dean. Jialan could only comfort herself like this.
Dean. Jialan had a strong premonition in his heart, and he felt that his guess would definitely not be wrong.
"Good morning, Mr. Kailin."
Dean ready for breakfast. Jialan saw Kailin appear at the staircase on the second floor, so she said politely.
"Good morning, don't be so polite, I'm just a naughty woman." With that, Kailin slowly walked downstairs.
Hearing the other party's words, Dean. Jialan froze directly.
"Mr. Kailin?" Dean. Jialan instantly thought of a lot, and he even wondered if Kailin was staring at him last night.
The idea couldn't help but make Dean. Jia Lan was terrified, he didn't know what to say at all, so he just let Kailin pass by him, and suddenly smelled an extremely good fragrance.
"The omelette is a bit too much, the burnt taste is very strong, the lamb chops are too salty, don't put green salt next time, use fine salt."
Kailin sat down at the table and ate a few bites of breakfast, and said lightly.
"Okay, Mr. Kaelin."
Dean, who came to his senses. Jialan walked over to the table and sat down with an embarrassed expression, he glanced at Kailin, and then concentrated on the food on the plate.
After an extremely uncomfortable breakfast, Dean . Jialan was about to get up and pack up, when Kailin suddenly took out a wooden box out of thin air and pushed it in front of the other party.
"This box of magic stones will be taken and filled into the seal later."
Dean. Jialan looked at the wooden box and was stunned for a few seconds, and then showed joy, isn't this exactly what he needs, he couldn't wait to open the wooden box, and there were black and shiny magic stones neatly placed inside.
"No problem, Mr. Kaelin."
"Don't be corrupted by demonic energy, or I'll have to send you down the mountain."
After leaving an intriguing word, Kailin left the table and walked slowly to the stairs.
Dean. Jialan was apprehensive, thinking about Kailin's last sentence repeatedly, the shock in his eyes flashed, he looked at the graceful figure who was going upstairs, and then moved his gaze to the wooden box.
"Mr. Kailin, do you think I'm going to die, I'm sorry, I think I'm destined to disappoint you."
Dean. Jialan neatly packed up the dishes, and had to think about Kailin anew, what kind of person she should be.
After finishing the trivial work at hand, Dean . Jialan left the villa with the wooden box and went to the back of the mountain, where the seal was located, and at the entrance was an altar with eight huge stone pillars.
Each pillar is made of a single piece of black gold stone, which is so expensive for Dean. As far as Jialan is concerned, she can't even think about it.
The whole altar was filled with a vast and compelling aura, Dean. Jialan can see the surrounding images with the naked eye alone, showing a distorted state.
Following the method taught by Kaylin, Dean . Jialan opened the altar smoothly and slowly walked in with a nervous mood.
Tick tock.
Dean. Jialan walked into a passage made of boulders, and through the glorious stones on the left and right, he saw countless reliefs and runes carved into the walls.
"I really don't like the smell here, it's scary."
Soon after, Dean . Jialan finally arrived at his destination, and at this moment he was standing in a square palace, and the surrounding walls were also carved with runes, but they were much more complicated than those in the passage.
"These runes can actually make people feel a headache after reading them for a long time, why didn't they feel this way yesterday."
Dean. Jialan half-squatted down with confusion, not daring to look around anymore, he gently opened the wooden box he brought and took out a magic stone.
Oval-shaped, smooth stone, only slightly larger than a quail egg, Dean. Jia Lanzai stared carefully at the magic stone in his hand, and a suction suddenly gushed out from his right eye.
Rumble!
Dean. Jia Lan's face changed drastically, and he was surprised to find that the energy contained in the philosopher's stone suddenly turned into a ray of light and disappeared into his right eye.
Click!
In an instant, Dean. The Philosopher's Stone in Jialan's hand turned into powder.
"Can it absorb the energy of the Philosopher's Stone?"
"But why hasn't there been any change?"
"Is it not enough?"
"Or am I thinking too much?"
All of a sudden, Dean. Jialan's mind was filled with countless doubts, and he was very disappointed by this result.
"Maybe I should ask Mr. Kaelin."
Dean. Jialan picked up the wooden box and began to fill the seal with Philosopher's Stone, every wall in the palace has many eye slots, just put the Philosopher's Stone in it.
It's just that it's not easy to open the eye groove, and it requires a specific technique, Dean. Jialan had only learned it from Kailin once, and now he was thinking about how to do it.
An hour later, Dean . Jialan was already sweating profusely, and the only good news was that the Philosopher's Stone in the wooden box had been filled by him.
"The guy who can invent this seal must be a lunatic."
After filling the last of the Philosopher's Stone, Dean . Jialan grumbled and sat on the floor, looking around at his masterpiece with a look of relief on his face.
"Oops! There's also an eye groove there! ”
Dean. Jialan hurriedly looked at the wooden box, only to see that there was no magic stone in it.
"I should have asked beforehand." Dean. Jialan blamed himself and regretted in his heart, he knew that he had used the magic stone that did not belong to him.
"How can I remedy it? Are you really going to go to Mr. Kailin? ”
Dean. Jialan looked at the eye slot with a weak heart, and he suddenly broke out in a cold sweat, and it was clear that there was a pair of dark eyes staring at him.
His heart beat suddenly, and Dean. Jialan's body trembled involuntarily, and he hurriedly looked away.
"Is it a delusion?"
Wait until Dean. When Jialan looked at the eye groove again, she found that there was no eye groove at all.
"Is it really a delusion?"
Dean. Jialan was a little distraught, he quickly got up and left the palace without looking back.
Back inside the villa, Dean. The sense of guilt in Jialan's heart grew heavier, and he glanced at the second floor, unable to determine whether Kailin was in the room or not, after all, it took more than half a morning to fill the Philosopher's Stone.
"I guess it's better to forget it." Dean. Jialan dismissed the idea of going upstairs to confirm.
At this moment, the sound of boiling water came from upstairs. Jialan could finally determine where Kailin was.
"Let's wait for lunch to talk to Mr. Kailin about the eye groove, this marmot who loves to stay in the room."
After making a decision, Dean. Jialan left the hall and returned to his room, where he glanced at his desk before walking over.
Annotated from the meditation book, Dean. Jialan sat upright and began to read carefully.
"It's incredible!"
Just read a few lines, Dean. Jialan stared at her eyes and mouth open, looking incredulous.
"I actually understood?"
Dean. Jialan closed the codex and stared at the book cover, trying to figure out a little idea.
"Is it related to absorbing the energy of the Philosopher's Stone?" Dean. Jialan thought suddenly, and then he shook his head and got up and lay down on the bed and put the codex over his face.
It wasn't until near noon that Dean . Jialan walked out of the room.
Sensing that the groundhog upstairs was still boiling water, Dean . Jia Lan smiled and walked into the kitchen, and after a busy time, he put a fine lunch on the table.
Kailin arrived as if he had made a prior appointment, and appeared at the staircase on time.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Kailin." Dean. Jialan greeted politely.
"Good afternoon, I'm not a marmot, I'm just cooking." Kaylin walked slowly from Dean. Jialan walked past her, leaving a slightly dissatisfied sentence.
Rumble!
Dean. Jialan suddenly felt that her mind went blank.
