Chapter 4

"Diana!" Winnie shouted.

He grabbed me by the shoulders and I pushed his hands away from me.

"Don't touch me!" I screamed.

"You need to be calm."

"What have you done to me? What about my eyes? ”

Calm down, and I'll tell you. ”

Tears blurred my vision.

Winnie crouched in front of me. He held out his hand again. I raised my hand and gave him a slap. My hands are numb.

Winnie held his face in his hands. I kicked him in the shin with my leg. Winnie howled and grabbed his leg and jumped.

I got up from the floor. I walked around Vinnie and he grabbed me by the ankle. With a slam of thumb, I lost my balance. My elbow hit the floor. I screamed. I rolled to his feet.

My feet are still in his hands. So I kicked forward with my empty foot, aiming between his legs. He actually grabbed my other ankle.

"I didn't expect you to be so aggressive,"

"Let go of me, you bastard!" I screamed.

I kicked desperately, trying to break free of his grasp. He turned his shoulders, stretched my legs, and then walked backwards and pulled me. I tried to put my finger in the tiles to stop him.

I can't control it. My fingers slipped from the blood on the floor. My robes were soaked with blood from my arms. My blood splattered onto Winnie's coat. As he dragged me out of the bathroom, a crimson trail followed me.

I managed to grab the door frame as he pulled me into the hallway. My knuckles turned white. Winnie snorted, trying to pull me away. I broke free of one of my ankles and kicked him in the knee. He let go of my other ankle and screamed in pain.

I stood up. He grabbed my knotted hair again. Pulling my hair. I gritted my teeth, my temples throbbing.

"Let me go!" I screamed.

Winnie pulled me in front of him. My nails dug deep into his arm. I grabbed his skin and his blood came out.

"Stop, Diana," he said.

I screamed as he pushed me forward. I continued to scratch him as he pushed me down the hallway.

"Say no more, Diana,"

He said. "I won't hurt you, stop."

"What did you do to me?"

Winnie pushed us out of the hallway. He dragged me to the bedside. All of a sudden, he threw me on the bed. I waved forward and hit him in the chest. I went to hit him again, but he grabbed my wrist. He pressed it hard against the mattress. I patted him on the shoulder as he wrapped the restraint strap around my wrist.

"Stop!" I screamed. "Please, don't!."

"I can't let you hurt yourself," he said.

"You're hurting me."

"You're covered in blood, it's your self-harm."

Winnie reached out and grabbed my other wrist.

I got into a fight with him and saliva came out of my mouth. Before he could pull out, I spat on him. I tried to hit him in the eye, but I hit him in the cheek. He wiped his cheek with the back of his hand in pain.

"You have to correct your attitude,"

He said. "Until you apologize to me, you're going to be subject to these restrictions.

He pulled out a clean robe. My heart pounded in my chest as he tried to change my blood-stained robes.

He tore off a piece of his robe and brought it to me. He pushed my head forward and I wanted to get away from him. He wrapped a cloth around my mouth and gagged me. He pulled out his worn-out office chair, the wheels creaking.

I struggled to break free of the restraints, trying to get rid of the plug in my mouth. That's when Winnie put his warm hand on my wrist

"I'll leave you alone for five minutes," he said. "Look at the mess you've made!."

My screams were covered by a cloth. Tears rolled down my face. The burning behind my eyes became unbearable. My eyes.

These are not my eyes.

I screamed again, and Winnie pulled his hand away from me. He returned to the counter and searched for the vial. He plucked one and pulled out a needle. He filled it with medicine.

I gasped as I tried to push myself off the bed, but the cloth around my mouth didn't let air in, causing my lungs to burn.

"I have to do this, Diana,"

He said. He flicked off the remaining air bubbles in the syringe. "I don't want to, but you're hurting yourself."

Winnie grabbed my leg and flipped me aside. I tried to break free, but his fingers dug deep into my skin. He pulled up my robe and plunged a needle into my thigh. There is a sharp pinch. He pulled my robe down and turned his back to me.

My eyes burned, and they quickly became heavy. My eyelids were about to collide together, and I struggled to keep them open. It's like lead seeped into my limbs. His heavy arms carried me to the bed. I can't resist anymore。。。。。

Winnie leaned back in his chair and pushed his wheels to the bed. He put his hand on top of my head and leaned against the railing next to the bed.

"I've always been afraid to tell you the truth,"

He said. "But I need you to understand."

I could only frown.

"The body can do amazing things, but some people think it can only be pushed so far,"

"There is a group of surgeons who see limitless opportunities in the future," he said. So they ran experiments to see how it went.

The human body can adapt. The group is elite, and you're my ticket. You are my first patient to survive this surgery. β€œ

I wanted to scream in frustration, I wanted to push him away, but I couldn't move. He took his hand off my head and wiped my tears away with his thumb. I looked away. He grabbed my chin and forced me to look at him.

"I replaced yours with a cat's eye," he said. "It will make it easier for you to see clearly in the dark and increase your peripheral vision. You still need to adjust it to it. It's just the first day.

My eyes became so heavy that I couldn't open them anymore. I cursed myself as my head rested on his hand. Winnie chuckled.

"Dr. Philip will come to see you tomorrow," he said.

I was in a dark hallway. There is a light bulb hanging from the ceiling. I exhaled, and I could see a mist of breath in the cold air. A voice echoed through the walls.

I closed my eyes and listened to the meow. My skin tingled, and a cold, tingling sensation crept up my feet.

I looked down at myself and saw that I was wearing a hospital gown. The meow is getting louder and louder. The lights flashed a few times before going out. I was surrounded by complete darkness. My breath got stuck in my throat.

There's a force that's pushing me forward. It was like two warm hands on my shoulders. My feet were dragging on the concrete floor. I walked behind me, but there was no one there.

The rusty door creaked open. The door slammed shut, and the feeling of my hands on my shoulders was gone.

A flash of light flashed, and I was startled and covered my eyes. The meow was getting louder and louder, and something soft was brushing against my bare legs.

I slowly withdrew my hand and saw that the room was full of cats. They were dirty, their fur was unkempt, and I noticed that a few ears were missing. They all turned their heads to stare at me.

They all lost their eyes. I fell backwards to the wall behind me. Leaning against a large white wall with no door.

How did I get in?

I looked over my shoulder and saw that I was surrounded by four walls. There are no doors. I slammed my fist against the wall. A sharp pain spread down my calf. I looked down and saw the cat scratching at my skin. Blood was running down my legs, and I could feel a cat licking its barbed tongue as it licked off.

"Help!" My fist banged against the wall and I screamed. "Please! Please, someone, help me! ”

Cats are piled up around me in all over. They grabbed my legs, and one of them began to tug at the hem of my robe.

"Help me", the feeling of the hand returned to my shoulder. I snapped my eyes open and saw two blurred faces hovering above my head.

"Calm down, Diana," Winnie said.

Fingers that were thinner and softer than Winnie's pressed against my other wrist. Winnie stuck his fingers into the soft bruised flesh of my wrist. I screamed, but was covered by a gagged.

I looked and squinted to see another person. It was a woman with her long brown hair combed back into a ponytail. Her plump lips were open, and she looked down at me with wide eyes. A pair of dark glasses framed on top of her head. She has a pink shirt and a black skirt with a white lab coat underneath.

She leaned over to me. On closer inspection, she looked much older. Wrinkles popped up from the corners of her eyes, and strands of gray hair ran through her black hair. She put her glasses on her nose. She lifted my chin and leaned closer. She pulled the plug out of my mouth.

"It's remarkable,"

She said. "Winnie, when you told me about this project, I was skeptical. You're done. ”

"You're all sick,"

I say.

"Be polite, Diana,"

Winnie said.

"This is Dr. Philip. She's here to check on you. ”

"Let me go!" I shouted.

Dr. Philip's lips raised into a smile,

"If it goes on like this, I'm going to have to sedate you again," Winnie told me.

I pulled away from the restraints and bit my lip. Philip looked down at my wrist and frowned.

"Unlock her," she said.

"What?" Winnie asked.

"I told you to untie her"

She exclaimed.

"It doesn't work, it only hurts herself more, and there's going to be a dinner party in two weeks, and she's covered in bruises all over her body, and she can't let her go on like this."

"I just unlocked it for a few minutes, and she ripped off the IV and was covered in blood."

Philip sat down on the edge of the bed. She reached out and ran her fingers through my hair. It didn't take far before her fingers got stuck in my many pimples.

"Appearance is very important at this dinner, especially if you want to be a member,"

She said. "Don't tie her down. But I could tell she was scared. I'll let Benjamin come over. He has outdoor privileges. I'll ask him to help this girl get some clothes and things, fix her hair, and then he'll take care of her. ”

"I don't need a babysitter," I said.

Philip chuckled.

"It's good for her to be with Ben," she said. "He'll teach her how to act. The last thing you need is for her to embarrass you at this dinner party. ”
