37---- another failure!

He tossed the book aside and let my knees rest on either side of his legs. I glanced down to make sure the skirt on my skirt wasn't too far. Ben's warm hand rests on my back. My hand landed on his shoulder.

"I made you coffee," I said. "Thank you," he said.

I sat on top of him and was silent for a few seconds. Ben stared at me and smiled. My eyes returned to the cup of coffee. I almost escaped. I wanted to pick up the cup and pour the piping hot liquid down his throat.

"You'd better drink it before it gets cold." I say.

"I know," he said.

I screamed as he quickly turned us around. He grabbed us and put my back on the couch while he hovered above me. His lips were on mine and they were hungry. I kissed him and I did grab his wrist as his hand started moving up my thigh. He wrenched his arm out of my hand and moved his lips to my neck. His hand was back on my thigh and I started writhing under his control, trying to pull him away from me.

"Ben, what are you doing?" I asked.

"What do you think?" He asked. "I love you."

"I love you too." I lied.

I grabbed his hand and pulled it off my thigh. I wrapped my fingers around him so he wouldn't touch my privacy again.

"I'm just not in the mood," I said.

Ben took a deep breath. He put our fingers to his lips and kissed the back of my hand.

"I will never force you," he said.

He was lying on the couch. I grabbed my coffee cup and handed it to Ben. He didn't sit higher on the couch with the cup hanging on his chest. He has one hand on the cup and the other behind his head.

"Did Oliver touch you?" Ben asked.

"No," I said, shaking my head. "Well, no."

"You know you can talk to me if he does, right?"

"Drink your coffee."

I gave him a smile and made him think I was joking. I really just wanted him to drink that cup of coffee.

"I will," he said. "I've got to cool it down first." There was the sound of something banging on the window in the room. I looked out the window and saw that it was raindrops hitting the glass. I grabbed the quilt from the couch and draped it over my shoulders. When I got to the window, it dragged along the floor. The wind blows through the leaves.

The couch creaked as Ben looked at me.

The sliding door is on my side. I could start running, but it would ruin my plans. Ben would never drink this coffee.

Ben grabbed my hips and I jumped. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me towards his body. He leaned his head down and rested his chin on my shoulder.

"I like it when it's raining," Ben said. "It always makes everything more comfortable."

I turned around and put my hand on Ben's chest. I gently pushed him back, leaving a little space between us.

"Exactly," I said. "Today is a good day to snuggle up on the couch to read a book and drink coffee."

Ben smiled, then put his hand on my face. His fingers swirled around the ends of my short hair. "Are you feeling okay?" He asked. "You look a little weird today."

"I'm fine," I said. "I think I'm still a little nervous."

Be

The smile disappeared briefly, but soon returned. He kissed me on the forehead and pulled me towards his chest. He flinched when my hand touched his abdomen and I slid my hand higher to avoid his infection.

"I'm sorry it was too hard for you," he said. "First it's your surgery, then it's dinner training. Next, we were in the Caribbean, and a few days later we fled Bethany and Oliver. And then there was my infection. But we're all fine now, dear. You can relax now. ”

I took a deep breath and rested my head on him. He tightened my arms and kissed me on the top of my head. Ben was finally able to relax after his coffee.

"I'm very happy." I lied. "Can we go back to the couch? I'm still tired. ”

"Of course," he said.

Ben kissed my hand and pulled me to the couch. He lay down on his back,

To my disappointment, his poisoned coffee was left untouched on the table. Ben removed the quilt and covered the two of us. He stroked my fingers back and forth on my back.

My eyes were fixed on the coffee all the time. Ben didn't grab it, but continued to stroke my back. When his fingers stopped, I hoped he was about to reach for the cup. I glanced and saw that his eyes were closed and his lips were open.

I wasn't going to drink it. The perfect opportunity for me to escape slipped through my fingers. Poisoning is not a good thing, but I still have a chance to get out. Ben would close the bedroom door when we went to bed because it squeaked a lot whenever I tried to open it. We were on the couch. He couldn't hear anything open the door. The only sound he could hear was the front door. That's not important at all. I got my car keys and I was able to start running.

I lifted the corner of the quilt. I slid Ben's hand off my back and placed it on his chest. I walked over to the carpet and tucked the quilt back into itself. He clutched his fist into the quilt and rolled to his side. I held my breath as I watched him sit back on the couch. He sat down again, and I could finally breathe.

I tiptoed to my bedroom. The duffle bag is placed on the bench next to the door. I unzipped the bag and rummaged through it. Ben had already opened all our clothes, and all that was left at the bottom of the bag was leftover granola and fries that we had picked up from the gas station. I rummaged through the zippers and pockets on the side of the bag, but I could only find a wide variety of pill bottles.

Ben didn't leave the keys in the same place at home. When we got home from the pharmacy, I didn't expect to see him put away the keys. He can still take it with him. He may be too paranoid to get them out of his sight, and they may be in his pocket.

Ben did reach into his jacket pocket before walking into the pharmacy. He could have done this when we got back to the hut. He could have kept them in his jacket pocket. I unzipped both pockets and reached inside. My fingers caressed the silk lining of the pocket. They are empty.

"What are you doing?" Ben asked. "You scared me," I said with a giggle. "I can't sleep. I just wanted to see if the clothes needed to be washed. ”

"Diana, take a day off," he said. "You need a day to decompress. Worry about something like that later. ”

"I guess." I shrugged. "I'm trying to keep myself busy."

"I guess Bethany has some board games somewhere."

Ben turned and walked back to the living room. I looked at his jacket. His keys may be somewhere here, but it's useless to me right now. Even if I had them, I couldn't get rid of this cabin before Ben pressed me to the floor. He handcuffed me to the bed again. The thought of this made my bandaged wrist throb.

I walked into the living room and saw Ben at the closet at the front door. He was on his toes as he pulled down a few boxes from the top shelf. He took them to the couch and sat down. He blew off the dust that fell on the lid of the box. I sat next to him and saw that he had found a Monopoly game. He opened it and began to remove all the pieces.

"It's going to be fun," he said. "The last time I played Monopoly I, I was still in high school."

I worked with him to sort out the pieces and set up the chessboard. Place the coffee cup on the edge of the table. I tried to avoid staring at it, but I couldn't control myself. My freedom is all in one cup.

"All right," he said when everything was ready. "Which piece do you want to be?"

"The dog is fine," I said.

"Great, I'm going to be a race car."

Ben reached for the cup and I thought I was going to jump up from the couch and start cheering. I restrained myself and decided to give him a smile. The game is about to be played, so hopefully it won't look out of place.

Ben took a sip of his coffee. He twisted his face with a bitter expression and shook his head.

"Oh my God, it's cold," he said. "It's disgusting."

He stood up with a cup in his hand. I watched him walk around the couch and into the kitchen. He poured his coffee into the sink.

He poured my escape plan down the drain.

I took a deep breath and fell to the ground, and he poured my escape plan down the drain.

I took a deep breath and leaned back against the cushions of the couch. Ben sat down next to me and started rolling the dice. I forced myself to smile as I played. Ben babbled on about our life together, and I tried not to listen. I just nodded, and every time he leaned in, I would give him a strange kiss.

Failed today, but I still have half a bottle of hydromorphone. I have one more chance to poison Ben, and I can't mess this one up.
