Part 2 Cat's Bar. (The Wonderful Story of the Reborn Cat World)
Chapter 1 - Tired (this may be the dream story of the owners of the upper cat's eyes, the normal rebirth, it must be a cat, after all, she has cat's eyes to see the world, not to mention that I also like beautiful cats, haha):
I'm always scared to get out of bed in the morning. Before I woke up, I got up. Waking up meant I had to bury myself under the blankets and sheets again, now realizing how warm and cozy they were underneath. Getting out of bed means getting dressed, eating, making myself pretty, and a whole host of other things that don't leave me in that perfect comfortable lazy state.
I was understandably annoyed when I heard my name called. Repeatedly. When I obviously want to ignore them as well and sleep. It's rude! It was also a Saturday, so I didn't have any urgent need to get out of bed. Seven a.m. five days a week is bad enough, so why should I waste my precious privilege of sleeping on weekends? What's in it for me?
"Get up, or I'll electrocute you." An unfamiliar, feminine, visibly exasperated voice said.
She makes a convincing argument.
Considering the threat of electric shock, I slowly opened my eyes, wiped the sleep residue from my eyes, and adapted to the light. I blinked and looked around the room. Upon further inspection, this room is not mine. It's funny to wake up in an unfamiliar place and hear an unfamiliar voice shouting threats, which can make it easier for you to get out of bed. I think a little bit of the fear of being kidnapped from the morning will do that.
The room was luxurious. Its shape appears to be a perfect cube. A multi-tiered crystal chandelier hangs from the gilded ceiling, on which at least a hundred candles flicker softly, casting shimmering shadows over the room. Three walls hold countless books, while the last wall houses a wide variety of weapons, from swords to pistols, weapons of the future.
In all the walls, there is no indication of any doors, windows, or any other way of entering the room. There was a square dent in the center of the room, surrounded by a cream-colored carpet filled with pitch-black liquid, motionless. Behind the only dark, slightly ominous pool in the whole room,
A visibly exasperated woman sits on an ornate throne and wears a simple but distinctly high-quality white robe adorned with opal bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. She took a deep breath and began to speak, but I quickly interrupted her. The person who disturbs my sleep does not deserve to be polite.
"Hey! So the place is super nice, but I can't help but notice that I don't remember how I got here. And I don't know you. Are you willing to make up for my lack of knowledge? We would be grateful. Well, maybe I should have been a little rudeer. It sounds almost deferential. She frowned, her face annoyed,
"I'm here for a reason, mortal." She spoke in a tone that sounded like a warning to a five-year-old.
"That's great, but where the hell did you take me? Who are you? A bit of a basic greeting message, my name is-"
"I know who you are, mortal." She snapped that she was too high-profile for someone who dared to kidnap me. "As for me, my full name is Divine Light, who pierces the darkness with her presence and illuminates the path to enlightenment. You can call me Radia. What a pompous name, no wonder she is like this. And you are now in the middle of life and death. ”
Well, that's probably not good. "Would you like to elaborate on the whole 'between life and death' part? I don't remember dying myself, and I think I will. ”
"You all said yes. Observe. The pool rippled, the water level changed, and I yawned as I struggled to open my eyes. Oh! It was this afternoon and I had just gotten up to buy breakfast. As the video continued, I started jaywalking, apparently not paying any attention other than my own sleepiness. Across the street, I fumbled for my wallet and dropped it on the ground.
When I turned to pick up something, I was hit by a semi-truck, and my body was immediately destroyed beyond repair and flew across the road. Radia smiled dryly. "Most people depress their own death because remembering the pain is too much for them. I think it's the best. ”
I nodded tremblingly, and as the Goddess continued, my brain trying to process the fact that I was very clearly and undeniably not alive. "It's a fitting ending for someone like you."
I tried to concentrate my thoughts, barely noticing the insult. "So what now? Heaven? Hell? Anything else? Nothing? Well, I guess since I'm here now, that's fine, but-"
"Well, as I was going to say before you interrupted me again, you didn't enter any afterlife because you didn't do anything noteworthy at all in your lazy and uninteresting life."
I don't feel like Radia likes me very much. "So, you are eligible for reincarnation. It's simple. You are summoned to a world that needs heroes, you work hard, do amazing deeds, save the world, while learning life lessons and making friends, and then when you die, you go to heaven. ”
It sounds like a lot of work without much time to relax...... "If you don't accept being born again, or fail to complete the assigned task, you are no longer a burden to all of us because of your presence." Ahh That's even worse. The existing ones are good.
"Well, then I'll accept the gift of your second life. What do I have to do to continue to exist? Maybe that's something I can postpone for a while
。
Radia took a more formal tone, as if she wasn't just insulting me. “Si
Tensions between the tima and Delicta countries are rapidly rising. Both sides are preparing for the coming war. King Sintima has summoned you to stop the war, and I personally advise you to kill the Demon King, the ruler of Deliktar. ”
"So my choice is to kill the king or cease to exist?" It doesn't look easy. Or think further, be morally sound
Radia smiled dryly. "Your goal is to save countless lives by stopping the war, and killing a monarch for that is justified. Now, I still have a lot of things to do today, so if that's your only problem, I think it's time for you to go. ”
I still had a lot of questions, but before I could ask them, my back was pushed, and I was swallowed up by the black pool in the center of the room, and the darkness filled my vision, and I passed out.
When I woke up, there was pain, body aches, and quite a few screams of panic. As I pushed myself away from the floor, I thought to myself and could barely open my eyes. There was a pure white arch that emitted a faint glow, and there seemed to be a group of people around, some of them wearing gorgeous white robes similar to Radia's, all gathered around a corpse on the table, which I could see from my eye was a man with black spiky hair. The body is motionless. Probably sleeping, lucky bastard.
"Summoned failed!"
"We're all finished!"
"The gods have forsaken us!"
Failed to summon? I'm right here. I tried to raise my hand and wave to the crowd, maybe to get their attention and ease the panic of the crowd. If I had to be a hero, I would probably play this role as well.
But raising your hand reveals a bigger problem. First of all, I could barely lift it above my head. Secondly, it's not my hand. Third, it's not a hand at all. It was a claw. One paw is covered with black fur. A cat's paw. My cat's paws. I'm a cat. I'm not a cat.
Maybe the panicked, screaming people are right.
