24--- visit the Veil Clan

They stood in a large courtyard with gray stone walls. The walls are at least 12 feet tall and are made of huge blocks of stone, which fit together flawlessly. The ground beneath Seif's feet is a complex pattern of different stones intertwined.

It took a lot of skill and manpower for him to build this place. He turned to look at what was protected on the wall and was not disappointed.

The Veil House is a rustic work of art. It is built of the same gray bricks as the façade and is two stories high. Both floors have long, narrow slitted windows. A set of heavy wooden doors mark the entrance, with a strange heptagonal symbol deeply carved into the stone.

He realized that this place could only be the impressive manor he had seen in the forest. It wasn't as big as he thought it would be, it was a hidden fortress.

"This is your house?" He turned to look for Agady, but was startled when he found the man standing right next to him.

Two seconds ago, Agadi hadn't been that close.

"This is our clan home," Agadi corrected.

"As a member of our clan, you can use it as you please. You can also teleport here from anywhere in the world. β€œ

"Really?" Sev immediately had a hint of excitement!

"Can I teleport too?"

This will make things a lot easier! He doesn't have to spend so much time walking! He wouldn't have to spend so much time wandering on foot, and, if he got lost again in the forest, it would be a savior.

Agadi folded his hands behind his back. "That's true, but you need an item to do it. There is one more limitation. You can only go to one teleportation base. There's one for every town, and I think you'll be familiar with that base in Ascandons. It is the place where outsiders are resurrected after their bodies are destroyed. β€œ

"Oh yes. Reasonable! "That's where he logged in. Now he understands why it's the same place every time.

"Come on, I'll show you the house next to it."

Walking to the front of the house, Agadi grabbed the latch of a door and pulled it open. When the wooden door moved, there was not even a trace of sound. The exposed room was pitch black, and once inside, Sef adjusted to the dim interior light.

Be quiet. There was no one in sight.

"How many people are in the clan?" He asked. When Agadi says small, he certainly doesn't mean something like four or five, right?

"Eight, including you," Agadi replied. Make a gesture around them. "This is the main hall."

When Sef saw clearly, he was in awe. The place looks like a luxurious castle. Doors lead to rooms on either side, while on the far wall, a set of stone steps ascend to the second floor.

A huge metal chandelier hangs from the ceiling, illuminating both floors. It emits a faint blue light, produced by dozens of familiar blue crystals. This, along with the natural light coming out of the narrow windows, is the only source of light.

Admiring this chandelier. "Are those Amarat crystals?" They look like larger versions of those crystals found in the dungeon.

"Yes," Agadi said as he walked over to his side again. "These are from a time when Amar stone was abundant."

"The ones in the dungeon aren't that shiny,"

"No, those are man-made imitations. They are still worth a fortune, but they will never compare to the natural Amar stones found in the mountains. β€œ

"Hmph." Sef looked down to see a large animal skin that covered most of the floor of the hall. The surface of the fur is a strange pale blue color.

He pointed. "What did that come from?"

"It comes from a creature that has long been extinct. It thrives in snow and ice. β€œ

Judging by the size of the skin, this creature must be as large as a mammoth. It must be scary to imagine.

"Wow."

"That's true. Let's go upstairs. I'll tell you which room is yours. "Agadi walked to the back of the hall where there are stairs!

Can I even get a room? Sev was taken aback. He didn't expect the veiled man to be so generous.

Agadi walked to the top of the stairs and began to go upstairs. Even though he was climbing the stairs, it seemed effortless, as if he were floating on the stairs.

He followed, and Sef noticed a long, velvet dark panel hanging from the back wall by the staircase. Each board had a strange star symbol on it, and there were some words underneath that he couldn't read. The text is elegant and fluid, yet delicate, and most likely a work of art.

At the top of the staircase, they turn left and walk along a balcony that surrounds the main hall. There were more doorways in the walls, and Agadi stopped in front of the first one.

The door was just a heavy black cloth, which he pushed aside and held on to Seif as he hid underneath.

"This room is yours and you can put it if you want and if you have items that need to be stored. No one will touch them. β€œ

The room is not very large, with smooth stone walls and a telescope embedded in the ceiling for lighting. A narrow bed is placed in a corner, covered with dark fur, which looks quite soft. There was a large wooden box with a lock next to the bed, and there was another fur rug on the floor, which was plain gray.

All in all, it feels comfortable and a bit primitive. He loves this rusticism. Seif turned to Agadi, who had been quietly watching him survey the room.

"Looks great. Thank you. β€œ

Agadi tilted his head in response. "I'm glad you liked it. Now, I want to introduce you to the clansmen, but they are participating in the memorials. β€œ

"Memorial?" That's a new word.

"Yes, it's a place where we put most things down and honor those we lost. Whether it's family or friends, or even enemies who are fighting hotly, we pay tribute to them. β€œ

Sev took an awkward shower. He didn't know that a gamer could have such a thing. A special time to pay tribute to their dead? And not just friends or family, but also for their enemies? The veiled man constantly surprises him.

"I didn't stop you, did I?" He didn't want to be the reason why Agady or anyone else had to miss their special occasion.

"Not at all. We all have to take turns doing it so that the house doesn't go unattended. Now, I do want to remind you of a couple of things. β€œ

Agadi stared at him, and Sef instinctively stood up straighter. Now they're getting down to business.

"As mentioned earlier, we will not interfere with your freedom, unless the clan is in danger. You are free to do what you want, but we ask that you keep us informed of what you are doing. β€œ

"Okay." Seif agreed. He suspects that if he doesn't, they'll re-track him. "Of course, I'm sure you also understand the need to keep any information about us confidential."

This goes without saying. When it comes to keeping secrets, these people are crazy. "yes, I see."

"Good. If you have any questions or need help, you can ask anyone in the clan. β€œ

"Yes."

Agadi pushed the door aside again. "Let's go back downstairs. I have one more thing to tell you. β€œ

Soon after, Sev stood in the hall with a mysterious baggage in his arms. Agadi gave it to him and left, saying he would be back in a few minutes.

He unfolded his baggage. It turned out to be four separate items made of heavy woven cloth, and as soon as he opened them, he couldn't help but smile softly.

It's a new set of clothes, all black.

It just makes it official. He was now a member of the Men in Black family. It's a shame that his fancy gray pants, they have to go back to stock.

Soon changed clothes, not knowing when Agadi would return. He found the new clothes to be comfortable and sturdy. They feel close to the material of jeans, although they are much rougher.

The shirt has long sleeves that fall to the middle of the thigh. The gap on both sides extends from the hips down to increase the ease of movement. There is nothing special about the pants, although there is a small rope at the waist and ankle that he can use to tighten. There are even cloth boots with rubber, bendable soles. As for the last piece of clothing, Sef was both embarrassed and grateful for Agadi's thoughtfulness. Now, he doesn't have to wear shorts anymore.

"Is it done?" Agadi's voice reached the hall. Sef turned around and saw the man emerge from the shadows through a doorway by the stairs. He had a terrible idea that the man had just hidden himself to observe secretly.?

"Yes, it's all done."

"Good. It looks like they fit perfectly, but if you need any modifications, Jaya or Jalin can do it for you later. β€œ

Seif nodded, though he didn't know who those people were.

"You can choose one of them." Agadi offered his palm, on which lay two items. There is an earring and a ring. Both have a tiny blue crystal set in the black metal.

Sev picked up the ring and turned it over. "Is this for teleportation?"

Agadi tilted his head. "Keep in mind that it requires a short time to recharge after use. Don't use it recklessly. β€œ

"Okay." Wear it on your thumb as it is a bit big for his other fingers. As soon as he put it on, the system chirped happily.

You have gained the ability to teleport. To use it, go to the system menu and say where you want to go. See the guide for more details.

"Cool, thanks." He looked at the ring in awture. It's definitely something he'll use a lot. The awesome dude is right. If that's the kind of cool stuff he gets, it's definitely worth it to join a clan.

A smile appeared on Agadi's face. "Welcome to the Veil, Sef."

***

"Sef, there's no one else!"! How do we do that? β€œ

Severance rolled his eyes when he heard the grumbling of the "great guy". This is supposed to be the fourth message the rogue has sent him in the last 5 minutes. He clicked on the system window floating in front of him and said, "Do we have to have five people?" Maybe we can do it with four people. β€œ

The message has been sent.

He leaned back on the bench and looked up at the chandelier. There is no doubt that he will get a reply in a minute.

This rascal has managed to join the "Eternal Champion", and now he is trying to gather enough people for dungeon activities. That's when Sev learns that the dungeon team should consist of five people, including a tank, healer, and three damage handlers. The awesome guy has been very persistent in his rambling messages for three minutes.

Sef rubbed his eyes. He didn't understand what the big deal was about it. He survived the dungeon with three men in black, none of whom were tanks.

You've received a message from a "awesome guy". Do you want to open the message?

"Yes."

A few minutes later, he heard the rascal's voice again.

"No, you can't do that, Sef! That's how it works now. I told you! You have to do it with five people, otherwise it becomes very, very difficult. Those who take you to the dungeon are strong. That's why it turned out to be good. But you need to have five people, okay? Believe me. Listen, people are still busy with clan things, but I'll try to find someone to play with us, okay? Hey. β€œ

The last small laugh worries Sef. He sat up straight suddenly. Maybe he should go back to Asendas and make sure the mighty boy isn't terrorizing there.

"Alright, now. Look at you. β€œ

Sef's head shrank towards the main entrance to the hall. A dark figure walked towards him, cobalt-colored eyes glistening in the pale light of a crystal chandelier. "Maun," Sef greeted warily.

The man nodded approvingly. β€œDhi

That's right. Black is better for you. β€œ

If this were in real life, Sef would turn red in an instant. Sure enough, he shook his weight on the bench, pretending that he wasn't embarrassed at all. He crossed one leg over the other, leaned his body back, and folded his arms in front of his chest. There, a portrayal of self-confidence. That's who he is.

But to be on the safe side, he threw out a question to distract him. "Why are you so obsessed with black? Is it like a uniform? Maugne said with a smile. Sort of. What are you doing now? β€œ

"Waiting,"

"For what?"

Sev reluctantly muttered, "My friend is still looking for someone so we can go to the dungeon again." β€œ

"Ahh Mauen opened his arms. "Just to let you know, I can do it."

This made me pause. Maune is...... Offering yourself? Back in the dungeon? Sev spread his legs – feeling very uncomfortable anyway – pondered the issue.

He didn't think of that. He didn't think Mauen would be willing to do that.

"Are you really going?" Sev asked.

Maughan's eyebrows raised. "Why wouldn't I? Didn't Agadi make it clear? We will help you as much as we can. Besides, the last thing I want to do is stop you from running the dungeon. After all, you now have a clan to support. His smile sharpened.

Sev suppressed a shiver. Wait a moment. That doesn't sound right. Shouldn't it be the other way around?
