33--- knives rise and fall

Woman?

She laughs. "I don't want that."

"Don't you have your own group of outsiders to take care of?"

"I think so." Subella tilted her head, her gaze finding Sef. "Oh, I have an idea."

"Nope." Orion immediately refused.

"Relax, fleas. Both of us needed to take a break. We've been doing it for two days straight. I don't know about you, but I'm tired. β€œ

"I said no, Suba. You can't gamble--"

Π²ΠΎΡ‚

Π²ΠΎΡ‚ "shhh She pressed two fingers to Orion's lips. Then she gave Sev an evil smile. "Outsiders. You handle it very well on the outside. When the Chosen One returns, why don't you take the others out to play? β€œ

Orion waved her hand away. "Subela! You can't do this! β€œ

But it was already too late. The system beeped. Seif gets a new notice, one that scares him completely.

Quest Received: Lead the Aliens against the next attack of the Chosen. If you succeed in driving them away, you will receive an additional reward.

Very slowly, Sef turned his horrified gaze to the Elions.

***

It must be illegal.

This was Sef's thought as he paced back and forth in the trenches. He bites the nail of his thumb and half his attention is focused on the disgusting countdown.

The battle begins: 03:32 "This is so cool! I can't believe you really got such a cool task! "Sef, you're amazing!" "I know! Sef, you're amazing! β€œ

The awesome guy followed him like a puppy and didn't seem to notice that he was doing it. The two of them walked back and forth, dodging the occasional warrior passing by.

"It's going to die," Sev said flatly. "The fortress will fall, and we will destroy the entire town of Twinbridges. It's a terrible task. β€œ

"It's an amazing task. Think we can fight with you, hehe! β€œ

Alas. Sev didn't understand what Subbella was thinking. Is she angry? He stopped and pushed his hair with his hand. "Does it really say that?"

"Well, it says 'defend Fort Valkyrie with the outsider Sef.'" Another player shouted. He leaned against the wall of the trench with a spear next to him. His name is Sylvesta, and he has piercing blue eyes and light blue hair that matches.

"You're completely famous now." The majestic guy told Seif.

"No, I'm not," I protested. That's nonsense.

The battle began: 02:57

"So, what's the plan, boss?"

"It'll start in a few minutes."

Yes, you can see it. The numbers popped right in front of his eyes, ensuring that he would never forget. He struggled against the rising panic. How could he know what to do? Commanding troops? He didn't know anything.

To his left, there were about two dozen of Subela's soldiers. They gathered there after the last battle, undoubtedly ready to defend the fortress if needed. Most of them were new faces, but Sev recognized a few valkyries in the first battle. They didn't even wipe the blood off their faces.

"Aren't we just going to kill the enemy?" It was the last member of their squad, Miss Cindy. She had apparently joined the Valkyries, as she embraced their penchant for leather fashion. Although, she is not yet to the point of wearing a veil. Her weapon was a slender sword stuck at her waist.

"The point of this fight, isn't it? They just want to clear the enemy.

Combat starts: 02:03

"Then that's what we're worried about." Miss Cindy placed a hand on her unsheathed sword.

"yes!" The handsome guy sighed. "Hey, we should have a party."

One of the warriors straightened up and grasped his spear. "Good idea. We already have a tank and healer, so it's almost a whole team. And we have a bunch of NPC minions to help. β€œ

The ranks of the fighters changed, and some turned their heads in their direction. Are you referring to them? It doesn't matter anymore. There is no time left.

"Yes, I sent you an invitation." The awesome guy waved his hand, his eyes focused on a single spot in front of him. There is no doubt that he is looking at a system window.

The invitation soon came, and Sef simply accepted it, "yes". The other two players did the same, and soon, a list of four names appeared in his field of vision.

The battle began: 00:21

"I'll go," said Miss Cindy. She was the first to climb out of the trenches. The boys followed, and Seif followed. He felt bad about the whole situation. Whistling sirens whistled throughout the fortress. The Chosen One has been discovered.

His team assembled in front of the barricade. The fog in front of them churned and spread, revealing dozens of dark figures. It was a terrible sight.

This time, Orion is not here to provide him with protection.

The handsome guy is not worried. He immediately shouted, "Chaaaa."

ge! "He has the most lung capacity, and that's exactly what he does.

He ran, a rogue alone against a whole horde of the Chosen One. This is absolutely ridiculous. Sev erupted into a burst of startled laughter.

What did he think would happen? That's how this rascal likes to play.

Sometimes he forgets that it's just a game and that the whole point of the game is to have fun. Whether they're alive or dead, winning or losing – does it really matter in the end?

Sev ran after his friend, his staff clutched tightly in one hand. The sound of footsteps tapping on the ground surrounded him. It was Subelas's warriors outflanking him.

Two ragged teams poured towards each other. The Chosen against the defenders of the fortress. After a while, the two sides were fighting together.

The handsome man vanished into the chaos, his form engulfed by the roaring Chosen One. In a matter of seconds, half of his health had been lost.

Swords and spears collided, sparks flew in the air, and Cindy pressed her sword against the tomahawk, barely fending off a deformed Chosen One with a big beard and red eyes. He growled, pressing his weight against her. Her feet dug into the ground, and a shiver ran through her entire body.

Next to her, Sylvesta pierced the intestines of a smaller Chosen One woman, tossing her aside.

Seif ran to the side of the battle line, trying to get a look at his friend. If he can't see him, he can't heal, and he needs a goal to focus on. However, the mighty Dude is too far away, and since the Chosen One prefers dark colors, it is almost impossible to find a rogue among the raging corpses.

The health of the awesome dude has dropped to red.

Gritting his teeth, Severance ventured closer. If he can't get treatment, then his friend will die.

The air whirred. Something hit him in the shoulder, and he staggered. The edge of his gaze flashed warningly. As he looked down, he saw a long gray arrow sticking out of him.

He raised one hand to touch the arrow, but a Chosen One rushed out of the scuffle and walked towards him, a scythe in both hands. She grinned, revealing a disturbing row of bloody fangs.

Frightened, Sef staggered backwards. He grabbed the arrow and tugged hard, but it didn't move. His health was steadily ticking downward. He's bleeding.

The Chosen Warrior made progress on him.

Frantically, he stabbed her with his red-leaved branches. "Usain Bolt!"

The light hit the chest of the enemy. She twitched, missed a step, and shook her head. She walked towards him again.

"Usain Bolt!" The second attack actually brought her to a halt. He was about to turn and run away, but another arrow rose from the middle of the fight and hit her in the side. She fell like a stone.

Sev took a breath of relief. He didn't know who had saved him just now, but he was grateful.

He grabbed the arrow on his shoulder and pulled it sharply. The pressure behind the wound bursts, uncomfortable but not painful. The arrow came out. He lowered the arrow, and his fingers were covered in blood. "Make it up!"

When the light sank into him and restored him, he saw that the mighty dude was dead. His name was greyed out on the party list. Not only that, but Sylvesta is now orange.

Panicky! Too much is happening at once. How can he keep up? Subela's warriors fell in battle, and his own team struggled to withstand the wave of the Chosen. A man is dead, and...

No, cheer up. You can do that. Focus.

Sev took a deep breath. It was Sylvesta, who was fighting another player - a rogue, who was very fast, but had a hard time getting around the long range of Sylvestre's spear.

I can help him, at least.

Sev pointed with a twig. Radiant Dome.

The transparent dome unfurls over Sylvesta, shimmering with a pouring of light. A number of other fighters were involved, including the Chosen One and Valkyrie, but it didn't matter. In battle, the Dome only heals allies.

The awesome buddy's bar burst into energy and breathed a sigh of relief.

His friend must have been reborn in Twin Bridges. Due to the proximity of the city, this hooligan can easily run back in a matter of minutes.

He walked quickly to the fiercest part of the battle, not daring to get too close, but he had to find Cindy. She's also losing her health.

There was no sign of her, but he did spot a Valkyrie on one knee, struggling to breathe, while another Valkyrie was fending off a Chosen One.

He paused for a long time in order to use his skills. "Patching."

Mende's pale glow seeped into her, and she staggered to her feet. She still looked unstable, so he decided to wait a few seconds for the skill's cooldown to end so he could heal her again.

Just then, something slammed into him. Sev slammed into the ground, the impact hard enough to knock the crimson staff off his hand. The branch ended up right next to him. Realizing this, he rolled up and tried to grab it.

His attackers pounced on him. A Chosen One, not tall and thin, but covered in fire. He sat on top of Seif, clamping him, his eyes meeting Severance's. The system was helpful in telling him that the man's name was Vidan.

"Say goodbye," Vedan hissed. He raised his knife. It was a short knife with the handle wrapped in rope.

He couldn't reach it. Be aware of this.

"Wait--!" Sef cried.

The knife came down.
