Chapter Eighty-Nine: Appearing before men, the gods worship snakes
In fact, Ye Qin was indeed like this, and he listened very attentively.
This is much better than picking up the classics himself in the library, which has a limited collection of books, and many folk classics are not included.
For example, this hug Puzi, the library has included it, but it is a condensed version, and many of the contents in it are missing, seriously refined, completely distorted, and many chapters are not, purely fooling the layman.
The knowledge reserve of the old Taoist priest is very rich, and various Taoist classics can be said to be at his fingertips, which shows that his belief in Taoism is extremely pious, so he is determined.
Under the teaching of words and deeds, the little Taoist priest was also affected, although his will may not be as good as the old Tao, but his heart has no distractions, and he is also extremely pious.
It's no wonder that they couldn't enter their spiritual world at the beginning, and they couldn't use their dream powers, such a state of mind is not extraordinary.
The two even opened up a vegetable garden in the open space behind the Taoist temple, in which some vegetables and tea were planted, which was considered self-sufficient.
This kind of life is no different from penance, but the two of them persevered, and they would do morning classes on time every morning, which can be said to be thunderous.
Moreover, Ye Qin now guessed that the special magnetic field he had sensed earlier might have something to do with the feng shui here!
"The construction of this Taoist temple should be in line with certain feng shui theories, so that a special magnetic field can be formed."
Ye Qin pondered, but did not do much research on this matter, and then continued to listen.
β¦β¦
At the same time, in the room.
The little Taoist priest was obviously a little aggrieved, "Master, how can you compare me to a snake." β
The old Taoist priest glanced at him, "All things have spirits, although human beings claim to be the primates of all things, but before human beings appeared, there were traces of life in this land. β
"Mountains and rivers have spirituality, no matter when and where, we must have a sense of awe."
The little Taoist priest nodded, "Master, I know." β
He subconsciously straightened up.
Lao Dao looked at the appearance of the little Taoist priest and was very pleased, "Then let's continue to talk about this dantian." β
"Generations of people have advocated the intention to keep the lower dantian, because this part is the most closely related to the life activities of the human body, it is located in the center of the human body, is the starting point of the three meridians of the Ren pulse, the Du pulse, and the Chong pulse."
The little Taoist priest looked a little confused, "Master, you said so much, but where is the specific dantian?" β
The old Taoist priest waved the dust and pointed to a few positions on Xiaodao's body.
"The upper dantian is the place where the Governor Pulse Seal Hall is located, also known as the Mud Pill Palace; The middle dantian is the acupoint in the middle of the chest, and it is the gathering place of the sect's qi; The lower dantian is the Ren Maiguan Yuan acupoint, three inches below the umbilicus, which is the place where the essence is hidden. β
The ancients believed that the dantian is an important part of nourishing the whole body, so there is a saying that "no fire can make all the body warm, no water can make the internal organs moist, which is related to the life of the whole body. β
With such an explanation, the little Taoist priest became much clearer, "I see, I didn't expect the dantian to be so complicated." β
He seemed to think of something and couldn't help but ask.
"Some people attach great importance to the maintenance of dantian vitality, and when the dantian vitality is full and vigorous, it can mobilize the potential of the human body and make the true qi circulate throughout the body, is this the truth?"
The old Taoist priest nodded, "Theoretically, this is true, if you keep the dantian, you can regulate yin and yang, communicate with the heart and kidneys, enrich the true qi and smooth the eight veins, restore the innate physiological functions, and promote the health and longevity of the body." β
The little Taoist priest's eyes lit up when he heard this, "Then Master, do you have any dantian qigong or anything like that to teach me?" β
The old Taoist priest said without changing his face: "Do you want to help you get through the second pulse of Ren Du again?" β
The little Taoist priest was skeptical, "There is still such a good thing?" β
The old Taoist priest's answer was directly knocked on by a whisk of dust, and he replied angrily: "What are you thinking, if there is such a good thing, I won't practice by myself." β
The little Taoist priest looked confused, and complained wildly in his heart.
After working on it for a long time, it turned out to be another masterpiece of thought.
The old Taoist priest also sighed, "Now you are just getting started, there are many places to learn in the future, and you have to be a little more restrained." β
"In addition to the book "Hug Puzi", you can read this book in your spare time, which may be a little less difficult. Seeing the Tao is also a spiritual practice. β
The little Taoist priest pursed his lips, he already knew in his heart about the so-called cultivation, it was all a lie, and no one had succeeded since ancient times.
However, it is feasible to prolong life and strengthen the fitness heart.
I took the ancient book in the hand of the old Taoist priest, the cover was a little yellowed, and the corners of the book became a little curled, so I could see that it should be read often.
This is a hand-copied book, which is different from printing, and was copied word by word by an old Taoist priest.
"Tao Hongjing's Handwritten Copy"?"
The little Taoist priest roughly flipped through a few pages, and all the records were some alchemy experiences, as well as what he saw and heard when he visited the famous river.
There is also an old Taoist priest's annotation next to it, which is easy to read, much easier than "Hug Puzi".
The little Taoist priest couldn't help but ask, "Master, who is this Tao Hongjing?" β
The old Taoist priest replied: "It is said that when Tao Hongjing was a teenager, he liked to read Ge Hong's "Legend of the Immortals", and was influenced by his study of immortals and health preservation. β
"In his many years of furnace fire Danding career, he has developed alchemy and written the alchemy book "Hedan French Style", which can be regarded as a legendary figure."
As the sun grew brighter and brighter, the sun shone through the doors and windows, and the inside of the hall became bright, and the morning school was almost over.
The little Taoist priest glanced at the door, and originally thought that the snake had already left, but he didn't expect it to be there.
"It's strange, why hasn't that snake left, is this going to stay and eat?"
It stands to reason that creatures like this who accidentally break into the Taoist temple will not stay for long, and will leave quickly after discovering someone to avoid contact with humans.
But the snake did the opposite, and they had almost an hour of morning lessons, which meant that the snake was also outside for an hour.
The old Taoist priest didn't understand what the reason was.
The little Taoist priest couldn't help but joke, "It's still Master's Taoism that is so profound that even the snake is attracted to it, and he is even reluctant to leave." β
The old Taoist priest shook his head with a smile, naturally he didn't think that he really had such skills.
After looking at the green snake twice, the old Taoist priest sighed and said: "Look at this snake, coiled in front of the main hall, facing the statues of the gods, it seems to be worshipping sincerely, it really has an artistic conception." β
When the little Taoist priest heard this, he also hurriedly looked at it carefully, and found that it was really the case, the green snake coiled in front of the main hall, facing the statue of the god, as if worshiping the gods.
But at this time, the green snake finally reacted, and turned the snake's body, wanting to turn around and leave.
"Master......"
However, as soon as the words fell, a strange sound suddenly came.
"Clickβ"
This subtle sound was not loud, but it was exceptionally crisp, and it suddenly sounded, making the two of them hurriedly look at it.
I saw that when the green snake turned to leave, the crack on the body of the native god suddenly expanded, and then the entire upper body fell down, and with a bang, it smashed to the ground, and suddenly, dust and smoke rose in the hall.
The head of the local god fell to the ground, but the corresponding direction was towards the entrance of the main hall, which was also the direction in which the green snake left.
At first glance, it looks like you're bowing down!
It's not the serpent who worships the gods, it's the gods who worship the serpents!
looked at the statue of the god who knelt down and sent it off, as well as the snake that went away, and even the old Taoist priest's face did not change, and finally set off waves.
The little Taoist priest panicked, and his voice became stammered, "Master, master, this is not like what you said about the green snake worshipping the gods, how can it look more like the statue of the gods worshipping the green snake and sending the green snake away."
The old Taoist priest was also shocked when he heard this, how could there be such a coincidence in the world?
As soon as they finished their morning class, the serpent left, and there was such an accident with the idol!
The two were shocked and hurriedly ran to the door of the main hall.
But he found that there was no longer the figure of the snake, and quietly left, only the collapsed statue in the hall behind him seemed to bow down, telling that everything had really happened.
The master and apprentice looked at each other, and they both saw shock in each other's eyes.
The little Taoist priest couldn't help but swallow his saliva, "Master, you said that all things have spirits, does this snake already have spirituality?" β
They are ordinary Taoist temples, and there is nothing worth attracting snakes, and the master and apprentice usually eat vegetarian dishes.
There was absolutely no reason for this snake to stay so long.
And it's not good to stay in any place, but to stay near them, as if listening to the sermon, I really can't figure out the reason.
The old Taoist priest looked at the green plants not far away, and his expression was dazed, "Maybe." β
The old Taoist priest boasted that he had lived for a long time, and he had seen a lot of things, but he had never experienced such a strange thing, he had cultivated the Tao all his life, but he had never seen the 'Tao', and at this moment he was suddenly a little more at a loss for all beings in this world, and it seemed that he had never seen through.
This matter haunted the hearts of the master and apprentice, and they were in a trance for many days.
It's just that after the last glimpse, the snake never appeared again, and it wasn't until many days passed that the two gradually calmed down their complicated feelings and rebuilt the local god statue.
Standing in the main hall, looking at the statue of the god that was placed on the high platform again, it was rushing to the door, looking into the distance, but I didn't know if this idol had any thoughts?
"Apprentice, maybe it's really a coincidence?"
"Master, maybe not."
"But who's to say."
β¦β¦
Regarding the matter of the Taoist temple, Ye Qin didn't think much about it after he left.
The collapse of the native god statue actually had nothing to do with Ye Qin, he already had a crack and was in disrepair, maybe he just happened to collapse at that moment.
But thinking of the fate meeting along the way after being reborn, Ye Qin couldn't help but think about it.
Maybe there really is an invisible hand in the world, right?
Ye Qin has now returned to his own mountain.
That day, the old Taoist priest's lecture gave him some inspiration, and it was no longer necessary to look for Taoist classics, and the doubts that had been trapped in his heart before seemed to have been blown away by a gust of wind, and there were already clues.
On the way back, Ye Qin kept thinking.
Dantian was originally a term used by Taoism when cultivating the essence and spirit in the inner dan.
It is recorded in the "Huangting Exterior Scene Sutra and the Upper Sutra" that "breathe into the dantian." Wu Chengzi notes: "Breathing vitality will be in the dantian." Those in the dantian, three inches of yin and yang under the umbilicus, lay people give birth to children, and Taoists give birth to bodies. β
The human body is complex and is divided into three dantians, upper, middle and lower, but if it is a snake, there should be only one dantian, and if Ye Qin wants to cultivate into a qi pill, he must also be conceived from the dantian.
Alchemy is a collective term for refining the outer and inner pills.
"Both of these methods can be cultivated into Qi Pills, mainly to see which one is more suitable for me."
The Taoist Danshu is a wonderful method of human body practice.
By cultivating the "Dan" in the human body, it can play a role in strengthening the body, prolonging life, and developing the potential of the human body, so as to achieve the cultivation realm of "the unity of heaven and man".
Neidanshu is to smelt minerals in the Dan furnace to make "elixir", and then the human body is intended to be used as a furnace to practice the essence of Qi and spirit, which is called Neidanshu.
Wai Dan refers to the Taoist smelting of pills through various secret methods, which are used to eat, or directly consume certain sesame herbs, in order to ignite their own yin and turn them into yang energy.
Chen Shidao's note: "Taoism uses cooking gold and stone as an outer pill; The dragon and tiger are breathed, and the old and the new are the inner dan. β
However, whether it is the inner Dan technique or the outer Dan technique, it is carried out by absorbing external qi, nourishing internal qi, and yin and yang, passing through the meridians, and refining and refining qi, refining qi and transforming gods, and refining gods to return to emptiness.
Due to the development of Danshu, there was even a special system of Dan Dao that was extended later.
It advocates internal refining into Dan and external use into law.
Dan, single, one, single.
But the way is not right, so the name is Dan.
The sky is clear, the earth is peaceful, the valley is profitable, and people are immortal.
Ye Qin gradually realized in his heart that according to his current physique and condition, the path of Outer Dan Technique was more suitable for him.
First of all, he is a snake, he likes yin, in terms of attributes, it is a yin thing, and then he worships the moon and absorbs the essence of the moon, so it seems that there is more yin in his body.
It needs to be transformed into yang qi, and yin and yang complement each other, so that the qi pill can be conceived and formed, which is also in line with the principle of complementarity of all things and the cycle of heavenly principles.
Therefore, he does not need to deliberately collect yang energy, he only needs to transform the yin energy in his body, of course, it is not enough to transform yin energy alone, other substances need to be involved in it.
Of course, this Wai Dan technique is not just literal.
The Taoist Wai Dan also refers to "the pure spiritual qi of the void".
Immortal cultivators, you are in the accumulation of the void spirit qi in the body, and then the god of our people and this qi to cooperate and cultivate it, for a long time, then the spirit qi is a piece, and the great Dan is formed.
Ye Qin's thoughts had gradually become clear, "So what I'm going to do next should be to refine the Qi Pill outside." β
The Qi of Heaven and Earth cannot exist in the body, but is absorbed completely, or returned to Heaven and Earth, so Ye Qin can only choose the path of Outer Cultivation Dan Dao.
Because external alchemy is like cooking, by eating whole grains, it produces energy in the body, that is, the acquired qi, so as to store it in the body.
This is the same as eating to replenish energy.
The Qi of Heaven and Earth cannot be stored, but the Qi of the Acquired Heaven and Earth comes from all things in the world, but it can be stored in the body as energy.
The refining of the outer pill can allow the acquired Qi to be preserved, playing the role of a medium and a bridge, and then condensing the air mass, which will slowly lead out the Qi of heaven and earth, and finally condense into a pill.
Interlocking, it can be said that each link is closely linked. And this is also the sequential step of the three realms of the second stage of cultivation, the 'Chengdan stage'.
However, all this is still just his conjecture, and it is necessary to practice to know whether this method is feasible.
Ye Qin already had a plan in his heart, and after returning to the mountains and forests, he began his own alchemy plan.
From ancient times to the present, there are not many people who want to cultivate immortals through alchemy.
It is said that the Yellow Emperor became an immortal by taking bait medicine on the alchemy peak of Huangshan Mountain, of course, this is just a legend, and the authenticity is impossible to investigate.
However, in order to seek the elixir, the first emperor sent Xu Fu to lead the boys and girls to the east to Penglai Xiandao to search for the elixir, which has been clearly recorded.
It can be seen that the theory of elixir has a long history.
"Bao Puzi Inner Chapter, Volume 10" once clearly said, "It is an ancient Taoist priest who cooperates with the magic medicine, and he will enter the famous mountain, not only in the mountains, but also for this reason." β
The famous mountain is the place where the medicine is combined, which is the main external condition for choosing the alchemy place.
The quality of Cheng Dan must be related to the environment, if the environment is good, then the surrounding aura must be sufficient, and the quality of the pill is good, and vice versa.
The mountain where Ye Qin is located is very much in line with the standards of famous mountains.
I saw that the peaks and mountains not far away were endless, the green trees were shady, and the wide branches and leaves were like a huge green canopy, scattering a piece of shade, which could be seen to be full of vitality.
Coupled with his cultivation, the famous mountain is the root, absorbing the Qi of heaven and earth, and invisibly feeding back into the surrounding environment.
With Ye Qin as the center, this Qi continued to spread around, and the surrounding vegetation had already broken through the original growth limit, tall and dense incredible, it could be said that Zhong Lingyu was beautiful and full of vitality.
If such a mountain is placed in ancient times, it is no exaggeration to say that it is definitely the best place for those Taoist priests to make alchemy, and it is also a place loved by those hidden worlds.
"Now that there is no problem with the venue, then all that remains is the essence of life, as well as the tools for alchemy."
The so-called essence of life is not difficult to understand, there are contained in herbs, there is no limit to the types of herbs, as long as they are non-toxic and mild.
Since Ye Qin wanted to refine the elixir, one or two herbs were obviously not enough, he needed a large number of herbs to be able to extract the life essence inside.
Otherwise, if it is one drop or two of acquired qi, it will not have any effect at all.
No way, who said that there is not much aura contained in these herbs, since the quality is not good, then it can only be made up by quantity.
If Ye Qin collected it by himself, it would be a waste of time, not to mention, and it would be troublesome, after all, it was a snake.
But he quickly thought of a solution.
Ye Qin slowly closed his eyes, and his spiritual power began to spread into the distance.
Soon there was a sound of thin ropes in the bushes not far away, and it turned out to be a small squirrel, waving its big fluffy tail, and came to Ye Qin's not far away.
More and more animals were summoned by Ye Qin to gather, and at first they were only small, rodents such as rabbits and squirrels.
This is followed by medium and large animals such as weasels, foxes, and jackals.
Then, the sound of flapping wings was incessant, and when I looked up, I saw all kinds of birds, countless pairs of eyes the size of mung beans, hidden in the treetops.
Those who fly in the sky and run on the ground, if it weren't for those who swim in the water, if they are restricted, I am afraid they will also gather around Ye Qin.
Ye Qin's spiritual power is now strong, and although he can't communicate directly with these animals, he still has no problem giving some basic instructions.
All of this is because of the effect of Emperor Flowing Pulp, which expands his spiritual power, not to mention being able to establish a basic connection with all things.
After all, as an existence that can open the spiritual wisdom of all things, Emperor Liquid Pulp is a special category in the Qi of Heaven and Earth, and it is not uncommon for it to have this effect.
At this time, a dense crowd of animals gathers, including carnivores, herbivores, and even naturally opposing species.
But at this moment, they were quiet, not daring to make any sound, as if they were listening to some important instruction, and there was a slight humane look flashing in the beast's pupils.
Ye Qin passed on the instructions and asked the animals to find the herbs and containers, and soon the animals left one after another.
"Then I'll just have to wait for them to pick the herbs."
The animal itself has a little ability to distinguish herbs, although it is not complete, but it is not a big problem for Ye Qin.
Because herbs are all acquired, as long as they can be smelted together in the end.
And driving so many animals to help them pick herbs must be able to greatly reduce the time.
