I was born on July 7, 1997 in a small rural village in Jiangxi, so my family named me Ah Qi. I have an older sister who is five years older than Lingzi. Both parents were farmers, and they lived in the countryside for the first half of their lives and never went far away.

My grandfather was a carpenter and had four sons, the eldest of whom was my father. I don't know much about my grandfather, he is very different from other fathers. I only knew that he didn't care too much about his children, so much so that my father, who was born in 1966, didn't marry until he was 30 years old. As for the other sons, who are my uncles, their marriages are still a mess and it is difficult to describe them. My father was the oldest, so he took on the most farm work. Growing up under tremendous labor pressure from an early age, his spine stopped developing prematurely due to excessive stress, and he was the shortest of his brothers. And my fourth uncle is obviously the most favored, he has never done much farm work since he was a child, and his education is naturally the highest.

My sister was born a few years after my parents got married, and at that time they lived in a big house of the clan collective, which they called the big house. Most of the rooms in the big house are made of wooden planks, which is somewhat similar to the Hakka walled house. According to my uncles, I was born in a big house when I was a child and lived in it for a while. Later, my grandfather built a new house, and the part that belonged to our family also collapsed. After that, my parents separated from my grandfather and went out of the mountain village to another village closer to the town, which was called Shanglin Village.

In those days, some people who wanted to split up their families but could not afford to build a house would borrow extra houses to live in. My parents couldn't afford to build a house at that time, so they had to borrow someone else's house to settle down. I lived in this house for many years and my memories from before I was ten years old are there.

The owner of the house we borrowed was a veteran, and the house was estimated to be 150 to 200 square meters, with a field in front and land in the back. His children are well off, and his family lives in another house not far from here. In my memory, his family was one of the few people in our village who dared to do something. His grandson opened his first village shop, and I remember buying popsicles for two cents a piece, square in shape, and the outer packaging was a thin layer of plastic paper. Then sheep raising, chicken raising, barber shop......

There is also a family next door to us, the owner of the house is an old man, and the son's wife is married from Hainan, tall and thin, soft-spoken, and has a beautiful face. Because in the special era of grandparents, food and clothing are a big problem, most people look crooked melons and cracked dates, and you can choose if your daughter-in-law is a girl. The grandfather next door is an example, his daughter-in-law is a madman, and she also married and had children. His wife is long dead, and I never met him, as I learned when he was drunk and talked about the past. His son is about the same age as my father, but I call him Uncle by generation.

My neighbor's uncle had four children, three daughters and a man. My siblings and I often play with them, and we come and go a lot. The neighbor's uncle is also a man who dares to fight, and he went to work in the county seat very early. Although it is a rough job on a construction site, it is much easier to earn money than in the countryside. When my family only had a black-and-white TV, his family had already bought a large color TV. So we often go to his house to rub the TV, but it's lively, and when there are many people, it's like a movie theater.

Our family seems to be slow for everything, and when other people already have motorcycles at home, I don't have a bicycle at home. My father has always been afraid to do things, timid and afraid. There was money to buy a motorcycle, but he didn't dare to learn it, for fear of wrestling. Because he had to go to work in a farther place later, he was embarrassed to rub other people's cars all the time, so he was willing to learn to ride an electric car. Later, I accidentally lost one of my front teeth while riding, and I really shouldn't have learned to ride an electric car. He was embarrassed to ask for the wages of helping others for several years without paying him, but my mother finally gave it to the debtor's house. I still remember many years ago, my cousin wanted to borrow money to buy a motorcycle to come to my house, and he didn't pay it back for several years.

He also went to work on the construction site in the county seat very early, after I went to kindergarten. Before kindergarten, they all farmed at home. I heard my parents talk about that at that time, there was a "double robbery" in the early years, and the so-called "double robbery" was to grab seeds and harvest. Once upon a time, when rice yields were low, farmers would grow two crops of rice. If you can't get busy at home, you will ask other families to help, and then help others when they are busy, so you can get back to work.

In fact, one of the big problems in farming is water, and every household is fighting for water. Therefore, when you release water to the field, you must guard it, and no one else will dig up your ridge and release water into his field.

Up to now, the family's land has been expropriated by the village committee and given to businessmen from other places. I heard that those people are college students, unified management and unified harvesting, scientific management and scientific planting. One year my father looked at the fields in the distance and said, "They haven't started planting rice yet, it's almost May." If only at this time in the past, the grass had been planted and began to grow. "Now they all have machines, fast, not all by hand like they used to." yes, now I don't have to fight with others for water anymore. There is no need to wait for a combine harvester to go to the field to cut rice.

Dams were built upstream a few years ago, and it is more difficult for us to farm and release water downstream. In the past, the ditch was full of water and clean, and we could often catch small fish and shrimp in it to go home for tooth sacrifices, and even sometimes when my parents released the water, we could catch a few fish and go home for dinner. Because of the remoteness of the port, the ditch is still a place where we wash vegetables and clothes. Now due to pesticide pollution, the upstream dams and ditches are basically cut off. The water in the ditch is yellow, basically not flowing, and there are no fish and shrimp anymore. But now there are not many people in the countryside anymore, and no one goes there to wash clothes. Every household has running water, even if it is pumped from the river by the waterworks.

Even if it doesn't rain, the tap water is yellow, and my well is obviously not enough to install it. In recent years, the groundwater level has dropped seriously, and the wells have basically stopped producing water. Now my house is relatively high, and it is located in the lower part of a mountain valley, and the well basically relies on the water that flows down from the mountain to maintain its water level.

Let's go back to the time when my family borrowed someone else's house. I started school about a year earlier than others, and most schools don't accept students until I am five years old. Because my mother had the same surname as the principal and had become a distant relative, I was allowed to enter school at the age of four. Before I went to school, my sister was in elementary school, and I used to walk around the school because there were no gates at that time.

When I went in the morning, my sister would divide a bun for me for breakfast, the stuffing of the bun was sugar, and the wrapping was white sugar or brown sugar, and I threw it away without eating a few bites. Going to pick up my sister from school in the evening, I would stand in a line with her. Sometimes my arguments would cause her to be criticized, and she would go home and talk to her parents. My father was going to work in the county, my mother had to take care of the family's farm work, and I wanted to send me to school early because I was running around all day long, so I started my school life.

I studied in the village elementary school and preschool at the village elementary school, Shanglin Elementary School. Most schools are built in cemeteries, and my primary school is no exception. The terrain is very high and located at the foot of the mountain. The walls of the school are made of blue bricks, long strips, and each piece weighs more than ten or twenty pounds. I heard that at that time, the school was doing all the work of moving bricks and everything, so that the tradition continued in my generation. The school's facilities were not as complete as they are now, and there were no bathrooms for bathing, so teachers usually took them to the port to wash or take a bucket to the well to fetch water. Sleeping is a Chase bunk, on the second floor, and the first floor is naturally a classroom. The school has a cafeteria, so you have to bring your own rice and steam it in a lunch box.

In front of the school building, a few pine trees were planted, and two flower beds were built on both sides, and the flower beds were planted with allium orchids, which bloomed during the day and closed in the evening, with white flowers, yellow stamens, and green leek-like leaves, which we called the sun flower. The playground is sandy, and you can smell the dirt when it rains, and of course you will stick to the soles of your feet when you walk on it. The school was built on a high ground with a section of road underneath, and the playground was planted near the end of the road, so a row of privet trees was planted to prevent students from accidentally falling while playing. In the southwest corner of the school, there is a black tree, which is very tall and large. In autumn, the autumn leaves are beautiful, but of course, when the autumn leaves are blown all over the ground by the wind, we are tired of cleaning.

After the rains, we are keen to build dams. At the foot of the back mountain, a high curved wall is built with fine sand and gravel to block the flow of water, and then watch the water accumulate more and more until the dam collapses, and then pile it up, and so on. We would also put paper folded boats in the current, and float and float and float in the water, and we played between classes and classes.

On a sunny day, you can play sandbag throwing and "cat and mouse". Throw sandbags, sandbags are sewn from cloth. The sand contained in it can't be put into the stone, and it hurts to hit people. Draw a large rectangular box on the ground, and a team of people will dodge the enemy's sandbag attack in the box, as long as they are touched by the sandbag, they will be eliminated. The other team stands on either side of the rectangle and throws sandbags inward to hit the enemy. "Cat and mouse", the camp is divided into two teams, one team escapes and the other team chases, the team that escapes can run back to the camp, and the other party can not catch the other party in the camp.

When I was a child, there were too many chasing mini-games that I forgot most of the game rules, and even the above games I couldn't remember clearly. The "foot stomping game" that has caused countless parents headaches, the game of marbles...... "Are you rolling in school again today?" "No, I'm just playing with glass beads. ”

Most of the girls like to jump rubber bands, and at first boys rarely join in, who goes to play and designates to be laughed at the sissy. It wasn't until later that a boy joined in, but he danced very well, and he thought it was awesome.
