The technical risk of the first option is relatively low, and most of the systems on the ship are mature technologies that China has mastered, but the combat effectiveness and development potential are relatively low.

In particular, the French side refused to transfer the technical data of the STC system of the Piertic diesel engine, resulting in the low power of the domestic 16PA6V-280-STC diesel engine, which is only equivalent to the 12PA6V-280-STC of French origin, and requires 4 units to provide sufficient power.

The second option undoubtedly has better performance and greater potential, and the full-fuel power can bring congenitally lower noise and faster speed, and has an inherent advantage in anti-submarine warfare, and the air defense system with 4 groups of 8 vertical hair is also much more reliable than 1 8-unit Haihongqi 7.

However, as a price, the all-fuel power must not be as good as the diesel engine with lower idle fuel consumption in terms of extreme range, and the 30 sets of land-based Dowl M1 air defense missiles introduced by Huaxia last year have just begun to be delivered, and it will take at least a few years to digest and absorb relevant technologies and then develop the corresponding sea-based version, and it is likely that foreign weapons systems will need to be purchased in between.
