Chapter 34. Call for Essays for the First Prize

Because there are so many hobbies, it's inevitable to participate in competitions at all levels involved in each hobby.

Gradually, there were more opportunities to win prizes.

Unlike other people's modest and discreet low-key attitudes, I am extremely fond of all kinds of limited successes, which makes me more motivated......

Looking at my circle of friends, I can find that every time I win an award, I will inevitably send awards, certificates, and prizes, and I will also attach a famous quote from Lu Yao: "I have been struggling to pursue a goal in the long process of hunger, cold, mistakes, frustration and self-torture for decades, and any limited success is crucial to me." I feel the warmth of life for my own cow-like labor being rewarded in some way. I don't say no to flowers and red carpets. But, to be honest, I could never have been satisfied for long in this overly dramatic life. I longed to re-engage with a heaviness. It is only in the midst of incomparably heavy labor that a person can live a more fulfilling life. ”

So unlike many people who don't care about their attempts to succeed, I value my success in any role, at any level.

As an athlete, I want to win a medal against my opponents, as a painter, I want my work to be exhibited and awarded, someone to buy it, and as a photographer, I want my work to be selected for various exhibitions and used as a screensaver by my friends......

As a dancer, I envy those who can turn words into lead and get certificates without spending money on books, even though I have always advertised that my words are only for myself.

Because I always felt that my articles were not good enough, I didn't submit many papers, resulting in very few published works.

I remember that when I first joined the Poetry Society, I had to publish a book in the group and ask members to submit their works, so I could only hand in the things that I wrote childishly when I was in school. As for the other things I wrote, I only found a small article published in the "Life Daily" that year, the time was June 1, 2001, and it should have been through the light of Children's Day that the article "The Kite in the Heart" was published.

I remember that before or after this, there were a few articles about game guides that were also published, and I don't know where to put them.

It is worth mentioning that I have also had the experience of being asked to write.

It should be the beginning of the 21st century, specifically in 2000, I can't remember clearly, and the newspaper can't be found.

I remember writing more than a dozen issues.

The newspaper must have been left at the time, the reason why I can't find it now, I think about it should be a long time not to read it, according to my habit will find a place to store it, after a long time will forget, and then one day look at a certain place some newspapers occupy a place will be put in another place, so when I want to use it, I can't remember where to put it, and it is very likely that the final outcome should have been thrown away or used by me.

Whether you can't find it, throw it away, or use it, you can't use it when you want to quote it now.

But one thing is for sure, there are really not many publications, and none of them are of a high level.

If it could be published in People's Literature, it would definitely be kept in a conspicuous place so that it could be taken out at any time, and there would never be a phenomenon that it could not be found.

That's about the end of what was published, and there was certainly nothing to show off.

However, not everything that turns into a lead word is something to be proud of.

For example, the first time the typist changed from handwriting to lead writing.

If you ask me which article is the first official document I have written, it should be this issue of "Situation Reflection" published by the trade union of the Sachzhong factory, which was published on April 4, 1991, and I have been working for less than a year.

When I joined the work, I was required to go to the front line for training, and I was directly assigned to the natural gas company's Sazhong Oil and Gas Processing Plant, where I worked in a shallow cold workshop.

During the shift period, I participated in the table tennis match, taught the workshop workers how to write imitation Song characters (back then, our reports were all handwritten, requiring the use of imitation Song characters, it may be that I wrote better, the workshop director asked me to teach everyone), directly use the board brush to write the slogan for the meeting (cut the red paper into a rectangle, and then directly use the board brush to dip the white paint, regardless of the point, horizontal and vertical skimming is almost a stroke, a piece of paper word by word to write the title of the meeting, and then paste these words in order above the main wall of the venue), participate in the speech competition, Participated in the painting and calligraphy exhibition...... He quickly stood out and was seconded to the factory union.

The chairman of the union was a lesbian, with some southern accent, and forgot what her last name was.

She gave me the task of investigating the changes in the cafeteria and writing a reflection of the situation.

Soon I completed the task and handed in the manuscript that I had carefully copied, and at that time I wrote everything with a pen on the manuscript paper one by one, and if the leader wanted to change it, I would also make changes on the paper, and then hand it over to the typist to print out the pencil manuscript and return it for proofreading, and if there were no mistakes, it would be typed on wax paper, and finally mimeographed and bound.

There were no printers back then.

This very low emotional intelligence manuscript has been carefully collected by me, and it is a testament to how "naïve" I was when I was two years older than my current daughter.

Yes, there is no such writing.

The point is that the first draft I wrote is so that it can be understood, at least I can understand myself. I'm depressed about why no one checked it, so it was just printed.

There are two meanings for printing and distribution, one is that it is printed, and the other is to be sent to the relevant departments for reading.

Well, if you're embarrassed, you'll lose it to the end!

Who can write this thing well the first time, and it always takes some heels to learn to walk.

This article is also the first few pies on the road to growth.

Maybe the words are too small, so I'll transcribe the first two paragraphs to see if I can see what the problem is.

The leaders attach importance to it, and the masses are satisfied

——The canteen of the Sazhong factory has changed greatly

"The people live on food". It can be seen that doing a good job in the management of canteens and improving the quality of meals is undoubtedly very important for relieving the worries of the vast number of workers, enabling them to produce with peace of mind, and striving to do a good job in all tasks.

In the past, when it came to the Sazhong canteen, there was constant scolding. "Is this food for human consumption?" "It's just pig-feeding!" , to put it mildly, "the food is too bad...... Words like these are mostly front-page headlines on the "Rationalization Proposal Form". Most of the shift workers bring food from home, and the old lady who goes to the door of the canteen to sell steamed buns when the meal is ready is always full. However, this situation is no longer visible, and the most praised by employees today is the canteen.

Just copy it here, and if you copy it again, you will offend people.

The general meaning of the latter is to interview the canteen administrator, saying that the reason for the change is because no one can do anything in the face of the original food standard of X yuan, and now the new leader is here and adjusted to XX yuan.

So it's changed.

That's what it is. As for the friends who didn't see the problem with this article, they should be as "naïve" as me!

It could almost be said that my first social studies lesson was taught in this article and taught me to mature.

Since then, I've been extremely uninterested in Kumon articles.

So I picked up the four seasons essay I wanted to write during school and wrote "Missing Your Autumn Night".

This is because when I was in school, I used Qiong Yao's technique "Five Roses" to write a "Season of Snow", but unfortunately the original manuscript is now missing.

Now think about it, it should belong to the short story genre.

Later, I wanted to write "Spring" and "Summer". "Summer" has been determined to use five-petal cloves as the theme, and one of my classmates was written back then, but unfortunately it was not completed in the first time. A few years have passed, and I have long lost the state of mind of the year, plus after several computer replacements, I don't know which time I haven't copied the past, and now I can't find it, along with those I wrote with the WPS97 version of "Oily Youth", it's a pity.

Unlike the four seasons of the poem, it is estimated that the four seasons of the short story will not be completed (that is, the finished draft is not the original idea).

I think back to a few years ago, when there was a problem with the camera card, more than 5,000 photos that were not copied in various periods were almost completely lost, thanks to the recovery.

A few days ago, I almost lost my electronic drawings for several months, which made me further feel the unreliability of the single storage of electronic archives.

It is important not to have only one copy of the electronic version.

In fact, this requirement has been there for a long time, and as an old archivist for more than 20 years, it is speechless to make such a mistake.

With the exception of the two short stories, I have written mostly retrospective essays and essays from the previous section.

And, of course, poetry.

Last year, the unit wanted to submit, so I calmed down and prepared carefully.

It's just three ordinary photos, just a few ordinary archivists, just ordinary daily work, and simple data.

There are no thrilling events.

It may be that this simple narrative impressed the judges, and finally won the first prize.

It is not the same as the "model text" full of adjectives when I was in elementary school.

In commemoration, it is recorded here.

The archivist in the footage

Tian Lianyu

Because I liked to draw since I was a child, I picked up a camera in order to collect materials.

As time went by, one day on, I felt that my skills had improved, so I began to participate in photography exhibitions everywhere.

Influenced by my Gongbi paintings of flowers and birds, most of my works in the festival also have the themes of flowers, grass and insects, rain and snow, etc. "Lotus Fun", "Chrysanthemum Shadow", "Pink", "Proud Snow" and so on have appeared in many film festivals.

During the epidemic this year, the oilfield company continued to carry out educational activities with the theme of "fighting the harsh winter, changing concepts, bravely taking responsibility, and stepping up", which made me begin to turn my attention to the archivists around me, and came up with the idea of using the lens to record their ordinary perseverance.

(1) Temperature and humidity monitoring

The person with a raised hairline in the lens is called Wang Shuguang, an old archivist of more than 20 years. At the moment, he was silently mopping the floor.

Even though he was already the head of the archival resources management office, it was still one of his daily tasks, and when the weather was dry (except for the limited days of summer in the north), he had to drag the huge storeroom seven or eight times a day to get the humidity up to par.

Archives are greatly affected by temperature and humidity. High temperature and high humidity are easy to accelerate the aging of paper, easy to cause the reproduction of mold and bacteria, but low temperature and low humidity will make the paper brittle, so the appropriate temperature and humidity standards for archives and warehouses are: temperature 14-24 °C, relative humidity 45-60%. This requires archivists to have a high sense of responsibility, and to monitor the warehouse every day, too high or too low need to be manually adjusted.

The whole oilfield archive system has a total of 594 warehouses and more than 43,280 square meters of ground, which is how these ordinary archivists have been mopping square meters by square meters every day with mops in their hands for more than 20 years.

(2) Information annotation

This is an ordinary archivist, and I don't know her name. When my camera caught her, she was seriously digitizing the information on the paper file, that is, the annotation in the archival business process.

It's undoubtedly a boring job. Early archives did not make it to the computer. It was not until 2008 that PetroChina started the construction of the file management system 1.0, although before the Daqing Oilfield archives informatization work has begun to try, but the early archives still need to be annotated by archivists one by one. If you encounter a lot of information, for example, there are thousands of files with personal names in one document, especially when such archives are all handwritten in the early days, and the names of people are mixed with some archives of the second simplified characters of the state in the early 80s, so that these young archivists can read the book of heaven. They can only identify word by word, make phone calls, look up dictionaries, ask people who have lived through that period, and sometimes they can only record one message for two or three days. In 2019, tens of millions of directories in the statistical report of the Daqing Oilfield Archive System were entered by ordinary women one by one.

(3) Archives restoration

Because of the familiarity of the person in the photo, I know that he has a dexterous hand that not only scares opponents on the court, but also meticulously repairs files.

In the process of long-term storage and use, archives may be affected by unfavorable factors such as inappropriate temperature and humidity, improper storage and early lack of attention, and the materials made of archives will be damaged to varying degrees, which requires us to repair the damaged archives.

It's definitely a delicate job!

Needless to say, there are many kinds of materials such as white steel, acrylic, copper and pennant flannel cloth such as medals, and paper archives alone include sulfuric acid paper, coated paper, Dowling paper, certificate roll paper, newsprint, and ultra-thin securities paper that needs to be copied many sheets at a time for previous financial statements, etc., which makes the restoration of archives extremely complicated.

The Daqing Oilfield Archives Restoration Center, established in 2009, is to restore these damaged archives.

To this end, they continue to try, from handwriting reinforcement and manual framing to bronze medal restoration, from single-sided handwriting paper archives to double-sided handwriting paper files, from the use of palm brooms to the boiling of paste...... Broken files were given a new look in their hands.

And the challenge is always there.

Therefore, in the days to come, these archival restorers need to be more patient, more meticulous, and do better......

The scenes in the above photos are just a microcosm of many archivists in Daqing Oilfield, and there are many more wonderful moments that the lens does not capture. It is the silent dedication and perseverance of these ordinary archivists that can retain the next volume of precious and heavy original archives, and truly record the complete process of enterprise development and transformation......

If there is one regret in the process of writing, it is that I have never received a manuscript fee, so I should add this point to the second five-year plan: the manuscript fee income is more than 10 yuan.
