sea snake
The South China Sea, located in the continental margin of southern China, is surrounded by Chinese mainland, Taiwan Island, the Philippine Islands, the Greater Sunda Islands and the Indochina Peninsula, and is part of the western Pacific Ocean. However, the South China Sea, which has undergone tremendous changes, is no longer a marginal sea, but an unfathomable and boundless ocean.
This nameless island in the middle of the ocean is one of the few islands that have survived the tsunami caused by earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, which has sunk many continents and islets.
Many of the islands in the ocean are surrounded by shallow marine life, and this island is no exception. Its shallow waters are teeming with a variety of small marine life, especially sea snakes. Sea snakes are closely related to cobras and are highly venomous snakes. Most sea snakes are found in the waters between northern Oceania and South Asian peninsulas. Although there are fewer species of sea snakes, about 50 species remain, a few of them, such as the long-snouted sea snake, the blue-grey sea snake, the ringed sea snake and the blue-ringed sea snake, are also commonly seen in temperate seas.
Today, however, the picture is very different. In the aftermath of the Holocaust, the Earth underwent great changes and the distribution of species was broken. Species that cannot adapt to their environment are extinct, and the creatures that survive are the winners of adapting to their new environment, such as mutated sharks and retro large sea creatures.
The sea snakes around the island have apparently mutated as well. Originally highly venomous snakes, they have evolved from small snakes with a body size of only two to three meters to large snakes that can reach more than ten meters in length, as if they were giant sea snakes that had been extinct in ancient times.
Even though individual sea snakes can grow very large, few sea snakes can reach such a large size because their predators live on this small island. Sea snakes usually inhabit shallow waters around continental shelves and islands, and are rarely found in open waters with water depths of more than 100 meters. They choose to live on sandy bottoms, muddy bottoms, or around clear coral reefs. Sea snakes have limited diving time and need to surface regularly to breathe, especially in the evening and at night, which provides predators with a hunting opportunity.
Although the disappearance of land has led to the extinction of many terrestrial creatures, creatures such as seabirds have survived. This small island is inhabited by a variety of carnivorous seabirds, including sea eagles, which are attracted by the abundance of sea snakes and have lived here for generations. These seabirds act as natural predators that make life difficult for sea snakes, but sometimes, sea snakes also prey on these seabirds, creating an ecological balance.
However, there is a distinct individual among the sea serpents that becomes the object of shunning by all living beings. In the coral reefs at the bottom of the sea, life flourishes. This coral reef is huge and covers almost all the shallow sea areas around the island. There are also large reefs outside the reef that provide an environment for small marine life to grow while protecting them from the threat of large marine life.
In this reef, a large bivalve clams over three meters in size were found, lying in the crevices of the coral, and the shell was covered with thick algae, making it difficult to close the massive shell. There is a green flat snake tail sticking out of one end, and the other end seems to enter the inside of the clams, as if the clams have captured a sea snake. However, shellfish actually feed on plankton, while sea snakes prefer fish.
The snake's tail slowly poked out of the clams, and surprisingly, the other end of the snake's tail was not a snake's head, but the upper body of a person. Her long pale green hair flutters with the current, and her translucent ear fins, white arms, and fins from the waist to the hips show an elegant curve in the water, flowing like lace.
A mysterious creature appears in the coral reef, its sex is difficult to identify, and its face is beautiful. However, its fair, flat chest reveals the mystery of gender.
Despite its mystery, the creature's arrival did not disturb the fish in the sea. The fish continued to swim happily between the reefs, and even sea snakes approached and swam around them, keeping their distance but not leaving.
Suddenly, the beautiful creature exhibited a surprising movement, quickly crossing the water, swaying its slender snake tail like a boat entering the sea, causing ripples. Eventually, it stopped at one of the reefs. In its hands, there is a delicious anchovy about half a meter long.
The mysterious creature with its distinct bony hands easily sliced open the abdomen of the struggling anchovies with its sharp nails, and the bright red blood spread into the water. Although the surrounding sea snakes are full of desire, they are just watching vigilantly from a meter away from the beauty snake.
The mermaid snake tore off a piece of the most delicious piece of fish from the breamon and threw the rest of the fish to the surrounding sea snakes. They scramble for it, while the mermaid snake puts the fish in its mouth and chews it slowly, then flicks its tail and sways towards the sea.
The blue sky and the bright and transparent water create a beautiful sight in the eyes of the beauty snake. It loungs lazily on the reef, the lower half of its body soaked in the seawater. The snake's tail, which is nearly three meters long, floats with the waves, and the sun overhead makes it feel warm and comfortable.
However, despite the beautiful view, the creature's mood seemed a little boring. It has become accustomed to having nothing to do but eat, sleep and bask in the sun every day, and without human companionship, the world seems to be boring.
Like other Krakens, the Mermaid Snake likes to observe ships at sea. But unlike other Krakens, it enjoys the laughter and occasional music that comes from the ship.
Although it was not interested in the food brought by the shipwreck, it was often thinking about whether to go on a circumnavigation trip. However, just when it thought that today would also be an uneventful day, the heavens seemed to have decided to intervene in the matter.
The warm sun gradually sinks in the west, leaving half a red sphere at the end of the sea, the sea surface ripples in the microwave, and the sea snakes emerge from the water to breathe, forming in groups, the process is leisurely and pleasant.
At the same time, seabirds also come out to hunt and fly out of the island's woods. Seabirds hover in the air and spot sea snakes swimming on the surface, they quickly swoop down and pick up their prey and fly away. Despite being ferocious and venomous, sea snakes lose their ability to defend themselves once they leave the surface and become a meal for seabirds.
However, during predation, seabirds are also in danger of their lives, as there are not only small sea snakes but also huge sea snakes in this area.
A seagull targeted a two-meter-long green-ringed sea snake, and just as it was about to catch it, a stout sea snake suddenly rushed out of the sea, bit the seagull and dragged it into the water.
The appearance of the sea serpent stirred up a huge splash, and the affected beauty snake frowned and wiped the water droplets off its face. It flicked its tail angrily and struck the sea serpent that had fallen into the water.
However, the sea snake seemed to interpret this action as an invitation, and actually swam towards the beauty snake, trying to wrap its ten-meter-long snake body around the beauty snake's tail.
A strong smell came, which was a signal for the female snake to be in heat. The beauty snake frowned, realizing that there were many female snakes in the group that were entering the breeding season.
It shook off the sea snake that was trying to wrap itself with its tail and slipped off the reef into the water,
Prepare to leave the sea.
Wherever the beauty snake passed, many female snakes were ready to move, but they did not dare to come any closer. The female snake that was thrown away before is now surrounded by other sea snakes, and they need to fight for power to gain the favor of the female snake.
It's really annoying, the beauty snake doesn't come into heat, but it is entangled by these female snakes. These female snakes are a real nuisance.
