Chapter 415: Intriguing

Seeing that everyone couldn't answer, Master Huineng of the Sixth Ancestor said loudly: "Yes!" ”

"In what way?" Zhang Zhongchang asked.

Master Huineng of the Sixth Patriarch replied, "As long as the method is appropriate. One of these methods is the Zen culture of Buddhism, a traditional Chinese wisdom that makes people's living and psychological states peaceful and harmonious. ”

Then, Master Huineng of the Sixth Patriarch made a further analysis of Zen culture—the essence of Zen thought is to enlighten wisdom and purify people's hearts. Open-mindedness in Zen is the path to inner and interpersonal harmony.

Zen is such a kind of avenue, it teaches everyone: the world is me, I am the world, the world is beautiful and I am beautiful, the world is painful and painful, everyone should live quietly, live naturally, like rain in clear water, such as clouds in the blue sky, such as flowers blooming in the spring of March, like snow falling in the cold winter, live in harmony with nature, with the sky, with the earth, with people, with animals, and with still life, as harmonious as fish and water, clouds and sky.

If people's hearts are as transparent as a mirror, as peaceful as a lake, and as peaceful as a mountain, then the above-mentioned wars, the struggle for the throne that plagued the imperial court, and the wars caused by the palace coup d'état will be imperceptibly eliminated in the initial state of every budding root.

The words of the Sixth Ancestor Master Huineng made Zhang Zhongchang nod his head again and again. "There is fierce competition for power between the DPRK and China, and the ministers of civil and military affairs are also very delusional and obsessive, how can they live in harmony?"

When God met Zhang Zhongchang and raised such an eternal problem, he folded his hands and said, "Good, good!" Adults are talking about big topics......"

Master Huineng of the Sixth Patriarch said: "This is something that involves what the mind thinks and thinks. It's easier said than done, but it's hard to say! This is between people's hearts and one thought, there can be two completely different realms, two kinds of heaven and earth! ”

When Master Huineng of the Sixth Ancestor said this, he gave an example meaningfully: In the early years, there was a talented young man in the countryside, because he had a strong self-esteem and introverted personality, he could not be selected in several township examinations, so it was difficult to avoid being talked about, saying that he was only shallow in learning, and the mud could not support the wall.

These comments reached him, causing him to feel depressed, depressed and decadent for a while. In order to dispel his sorrow and relieve his boredom, he went out alone to visit several famous mountains and rivers. But the chatter and laughter of the tourists did not arouse his interest, but made him even more lonely; The green mountains and green waters, there is no aura and vitality in his eyes.

He was so desperate that he decided to go to a mountain that he occasionally heard about but was not very famous, not for the sake of viewing, but to choose a place unknown to his relatives and friends to end his life.

When he arrived at the mountain, he was stunned: there is only a simple ancient temple in the bare mountain, how can there be scenery! But when they saw that the tourists were weaving, they all worshiped religiously. He had never been to Buddhism, and he thought that the behavior of these people was incredible, so he asked them curiously why they had come to this mountain. Although the answers were different, they all expressed good and good wishes.

He was shocked and puzzled: Everyone has hope, but I have no hope...... What should I do?

Later, he accidentally saw a copy of the Vimala Sutra in that ancient temple, so he couldn't help but open it and read it.

To his surprise, he had an epiphany and resolutely returned to the school and devoted himself to serious study.

He said: "It is the profound and profound Vimala Sutra that has made me understand the wisdom of seeing through, letting go, and being at ease", which has helped me to overcome the desolation and enter a new world full of vitality! ”

The poet Du Fu's famous sentence "When I feel the tears, I hate the birds", expresses the poet's pathos in the country's breakdown and separation. Because of the sadness of the time, the poet feels "splashed tears" when he sees flowers because of his love for the world, and he also feels shocked when he hears birdsong. In terms of psychological germination mechanism, this is consistent with the desolation of the rural youth in the above example.

Sentient beings are delusional and persistent, fascinated by all kinds of circumstances, and their minds flow for chasing. Because of greed, ignorance, and ignorance, there are joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness, and when the time is lost, people change the situation, and when the people are enlightened, the situation is born from the heart and the situation is born because of the situation, all of which show that the human heart is difficult to regulate.

The Dharma is a great way to heal people's hearts. Some people are "sad and sad", because they are afraid of the shortness of life and worry about the loss in life; Buddhism, on the other hand, can perceive the true meaning of the impermanence of life and the emptiness of all dharmas from a fallen leaf.

Some people sigh that "the sunset is infinitely good, but it is just near dusk", which is really out of the helplessness of life and lack of pursuit; Some people "like to make ode to dusk, full of green mountains and sunset lighting", which reflects the heroic feelings of a wise man with a full life and an open-minded mind. Therefore, when you are lost, you will change people, and when you are enlightened, people will change your country.

In this regard, people who are frustrated and confused should take more time to study the Vimala Sutra, and understand and understand the true meaning of life from the broad and profound Buddhist scriptures, so as to grasp themselves.

From this example, it can be seen that no matter whether a person is noble or poor, as long as he gets rid of mundane thoughts, maintains an ordinary "true heart", and faces everything with a quiet and peaceful attitude, he can achieve "not to be happy with things, not to be sad about himself", to be "disappointed without losing his will, and to be proud", and to realize that "verdant bamboos are all Dharmakaya; Lush yellow flowers, nothing more than general. ”

After Master Huineng of the Sixth Patriarch finished telling this story, he was quite touched and said: "The former thought is the ordinary man, and the second thought is the Buddha; The first thought of the state of mind is trouble, and the second thought of leaving the state is Bodhi. Lao Ne believes that beyond the state of 'desolation', everyone can enter a new realm of 'a piece of vitality'! This is where the Vimala Sutra is useful to the world. ”

After Master Sixth Ancestor Huineng finished talking about the usefulness of this scripture in one breath, a look of relief appeared on his face.

You must know that the "Vimala Sutra" mentioned by the above-mentioned Sixth Ancestor Huineng Master is the crystallization of his painstaking exploration for ten years!

He was about to consult Zhang Zhongchang when he suddenly heard a shout of "good".

Master Huineng of the Sixth Ancestor followed the prestige, and couldn't help but let out an "ah"!

The person who came turned out to be the fat monk he met when he was young and collecting firewood in Tianlu.

The appearance of this fat monk brought the sixth ancestor Master Huineng back to the bittersweet years when he went up the mountain to collect firewood......

At that time, Huineng came to a valley with firewood, and saw the small bridge of the mountain stream in front of him, this big fat monk was lying on his back leisurely in the middle of the single-plank bridge, under the bridge was a turbulent stream, the waves were flying, the water was splashing, and the timid people would be dizzy when they walked on it.

And the fat monk is still leisurely crossing Erlang's legs! That relaxed and complacent demeanor is like lying on the most comfortable couch in the world, indulging in a wonderful dreamland.

The water is murmuring under him, when the blank clouds are leisurely, he lies leisurely between the mountains and rivers, as if he melts into the heaven and earth, everything is so perfect and harmonious, natural and comfortable.

As soon as they met, Huineng felt strange at that time, he seemed to have some kind of relationship with this monk, as if he had known him a long time ago. Later, when the head of the water source mountain came, he saw the fat monk lying on the single-plank bridge blocking his way, so he told the fat monk to get up quickly and make way.

Who knows, the fat monk refused to let in Vimala at that time on the grounds that he saw the square bedroom, and said with a Zen machine: "The chamber contains three thousand worlds, and the world has a meditation bed." Do you say, is this single-plank bridge within the world, or outside the world? ”

According to the Vimalaya Sutra, the Vimalaya lay man of the same period as the Buddha had a bedroom that was only one zhang square, but millions of people entered it and did not see it crowded. He sat on the meditation bed, his body did not move, but with the power of his supernatural powers, he could place the three thousand worlds in the palm of his hand like a mud pill, even if it was an immeasurably distant world, he could move it and show it in front of everyone.

……

The vicissitudes of the world, after more than 50 years, Huineng and the fat monk reunited, and this time, it is already feng shui in turn, the integration of understanding, preaching the "Vima Sutra", is already the sixth ancestor of Zen Hui Neng!

Coincidence? Providence? At least intriguing......
