Chapter 309: Passing the Level
"What's the problem? Sybil. Dumbledore looked at the two shattered beads in Trelawney's hand and wondered, "Is this a bad omen?" β
"Of course, very, very bad." Trelawney's constricted pupils, the splinters of the beads reflected the faces of everyone present, "Dumbledore, you will die in the crowd." β
"I'm not kidding."
Dumbledore became serious, and then, with a smile, said, "That's pretty good, I've lived long enough." β
"Sometimes I often worry that I'm dying without anyone knowing."
"Now that I have your prophecy, I am relieved."
Dumbledore patted Trelawney's shoulder lightly and comforted, "The hilarious death is a gift for me, an old man who is about to enter the underworld. β
"I'm really looking forward to it."
Trelawney carefully placed the broken beads into a red cloth bag with gold rimmed, and complained, "You are happy, but you don't think about those who weep for you." β
Dumbledore touched his nose and immediately changed the subject: "Sybil, you better hurry up and prepare for a duel with Harry." β
"His strength is very strong, don't be careless."
"I knew I was going to lose today." Trelawney said dissatisfiedly, "You'd better be serious, Dumbledore. β
"The wounds that death inflicts on the living can never be healed."
"It will crack with the memory, and until the living die, his heart will always be bloody."
After saying that, ignoring the more embarrassed Dumbledore, Trelawney took out her wand, slowly walked to the center of the classroom, and said to Harry, "Come on, kid." β
"I've chosen the best spot, and this time, after being knocked flying by your spell, I won't hit the back of the head. Because Minerva will catch me. β
"This is a second chance that fate has given me."
With that, she pushed her glasses and made a triumphant gesture to Professor McGonagall with her hands behind her back.
McGonagall reluctantly pulled out her wand, even though she had intended to protect Trelawney.
As for her prophecy, it was absolutely wrong.
There's no way she'll not be able to catch Trelawney, who has been knocked flying, because she's already started casting spells.
The desks that had been cleared to the back of the classroom had turned into huge mattresses, which were manipulated by McGonagall's magic to cover the walls around the classroom.
Harry clutched his wand and walked over to Trelawney, stroked his chest and bowed, making a man's dueling salute.
Trelawney bent her head and returned a lady's salute.
"Ready." Dumbledore swept the look of embarrassment on his face and shouted in a long voice.
He looked at Harry Potter and Trelawney, who were waiting for him, nodded with satisfaction, and then said:
"Let's go!"
"Faint!"
"Armorβ" Trelawney's spell was uttered when a blue light struck her.
Except for your weapons?!
How could it be this spell!?
Trelawney looked at Harry who was pointing his wand at her in disbelief, rolled his eyes, and fell backwards.
McGonagall exclaimed, she was too late to pick up Trelawney.
She really shouldn't have listened to Trelawney.
However, the imaginary sound of the head hitting the floor did not appear.
"Yugadim Leviosa."
Harry's wrist flipped and Trelawney, who was about to fall to the ground, immediately floated weightlessly.
Lying flat in the air, Trelawney slowly floated to the mattress beside Professor McGonagall as Harry commanded.
"Thank you, Harry." McGonagall breathed a sigh of relief, her eyes full of appreciation.
"Excellent spell release, fast speed, and great timing!" Duel Master Professor Flitwick couldn't help but admire: "And he has a kind heart, what a good boy." β
He turned to look at Dumbledore and said expectantly, "It's my next turn, Dumbledore?" β
"Nope." Dumbledore looked down at Flitwick, who was a little more than a meter, and said, "You are our trump card, Filius. β
"Minerva, let's test your protΓ©gΓ©'s transfiguration skills first."
McGonagall nodded quietly.
She had learned from Dumbledore what had happened.
This decision, in her opinion, is very absurd.
However, she had already spoken to Dumbledore in the office for an hour, and now it was time for her to educate Harry.
Of course, she had to win the duel first.
As McGonagall came on, Dumbledore also took out his wand, and his gaze under his glasses became solemn.
The next duel, without concentration, will not protect the absolute safety of both sides.
"Readyβ"
"Let's go!"
McGonagall and Harry waved their wands at the same time, and the floor in front of them suddenly changed.
A tiger and three white wolves appeared in front of McGonagall and Harry.
Flitwick's eyes widened, she knew McGonagall's Transfiguration strength, but Harry's strength, he really didn't expect it.
Three floor tiles become three wolves, which is much more difficult than three floor tiles becoming a tiger.
The difficulty is equivalent to three iron pans perfectly frying three eggs at the same time, compared to three iron pans with one fried egg, one for soup, and one for steaming potatoes.
Although it was all a breakfast, even the former was not as rich as the latter.
However, the former is more stringent in the test of the operator's heart, hand and fire, and if there is little carelessness, one will fail.
McGonagall was also shocked by Harry's move, but immediately commanded the tiger to pounce.
Harry's eyes flickered, causing the three white wolves to bite the tiger.
Judging from the scene, one tiger and three wolves are almost evenly matched.
McGonagall gritted her teeth, and after a sharp spin of her wand, she pointed hard at the floor tiles at Harry's feet.
The floor tile instantly turned into a leopard and pounced on Harry.
I'm sorry, Harry.
With such a talent, you should study at Hogwarts better than go out on adventures.
"Armor protection." Harry's wand flicked it, and the leopard that pounced on him was just above Harry's shoulder when it was bounced off by the invisible armor.
Professor McGonagall took the opportunity to manipulate the tiger and tear the three white wolves to shreds in one fell swoop.
She breathed a sigh of relief, and was about to make a declaration of victory when she suddenly felt a shift in her wizarding robes.
A green snake wrapped around her wand's right arm, its fangs already touching McGonagall's skin, cold to the touch.
McGonagall realized that one of the floor tiles was missing from her feet.
Harry used the same trick, but she didn't notice the change around her.
"I won, teacher." Harry put away his wand, bowed to McGonagall, and restored the green snake on her arm.
McGonagall stopped talking, but finally sighed and waved her wand to restore the tiger, leopard, and floor tile fragments to their original state.
"Harry, you've really grown up." McGonagall looked at Harry, half relieved, half disappointed, then smiled and said:
"I don't want you to go out, but I can't help it."
"Be safe." McGonagall gave a final admonition, then moved out of the arena and returned to her place.
"I will." Harry replied in a deep voice.
Ron and Hermione looked at each other, both shocked.
McGonagall and Harry's Transfiguration is like a Creator, and they can be used whatever they want.
If it were them, huh...... Don't say it!
"Severus, next, come on." Dumbledore looked at Snape, whose eyes were shining, and couldn't help but remind:
"Don't leave your hands alone, Severus."
"You know the dangers out there, and you know the methods of the dark wizards."
"Think of Lily."
Snape let out an "um" and leaped past Dumbledore, then stood in front of Harry.
"Mr. Potter."
"Mr. Snape."
Hearing Harry's name, the corners of Snape's mouth rose, but he still said coldly, "You have to be careful." β
Nope.
I'm going to test for Helicobacter pylori tomorrow...... Need to go to bed early.
