2024/1/1 The Opposite Move
When we delve into the various scriptures, we will find that the deepest and most mysterious parts of human wisdom often meet at the peak. This is because the essence of the scriptures is the same. Take the "Heart Sutra" in "Stay away from upside-down delusions, the ultimate nirvana" as an example, this sentence is similar to the "movement of the opposite way" in the "Tao Te Ching".
"Dao" is the highest wisdom of the universe, and it is also the biochemistry and ontology of all things. How do we approach this "Tao"? "The Movement of the Opposite" tells us to do the opposite. People often seek fame and fortune, only to find it all empty in the end. And the nothingness that people ignore is the root of all things, that is, the real being.
Why do many people live so tired? Because they're going in the wrong direction. Once you go in the wrong direction, the harder you try, the more you will deviate from the right path. If you want to break through the current class, you must grow upward, and the core of this is the "movement of the opposite way". Act against your nature, giving when greed arises, controlling your anger when you are angry, and forcing yourself to be quiet when you are lazy.
Only by learning to compete with oneself and sail against the current can one transform from a puppet controlled by desire to a master of life. Once you do that, you will reap immeasurable rewards. When you practice the "movement of the opposite way", you are living in moral freedom, because you have reached the "virtue" emphasized in the Tao Te Ching. "Virtue" here does not refer to conforming to nature or desires, but to a higher state that transcends one's desires.
"Movement of the Opposite" is a profound philosophy of life that reminds us to think backwards, overcome our weaknesses, and transcend the shackles of desire, so as to achieve freedom and true happiness in life. By practicing this philosophy, we can not only improve our own spiritual realm, but also set a positive example for those around us.
In real life, we are often so caught up in all kinds of trivial things that we can't calm down and think about the true meaning of life. And the wisdom of "the movement of the opposite" just reminds us to stay sober in the hustle and bustle and not be confused by the glitz in front of us. When we encounter setbacks, we should not give up easily, but think backwards and look at the problem from different angles to find the best way to solve the problem. In the same way, when we are faced with a choice, do not blindly follow the opinions of others or go with the flow, but think independently, swim against the current, and choose the path that is truly right for us.
The wisdom of "moving against the path" applies not only to individuals, but also to society as a whole. In today's fast-paced, high-stress society, people tend to pursue short-term gains and superficial successes at the expense of long-term benefits and true values. If we can think backwards and focus on the essence and intrinsic value of things instead of blindly following trends, then it is possible to create a better and harmonious society.
Finally, "Movement of the Opposite" is an eternal wisdom of life, which is not limited by time and space. Whether in ancient or modern times, in the East or the West, this wisdom has universal applicability and guiding significance. Therefore, we should continue to learn and practice this wisdom and strive to integrate it into our own lives to bring more happiness and positive energy to ourselves and those around us.
