Dependent arising means that all dharmas arise due to causes. To put it simply, everything in the world, or the emergence of all phenomena, is relative, interexistent and has certain conditions. Without this relationship and condition, nothing or phenomenon can arise. What is karma? Cause is also the condition of the relationship. It is said in Buddhist scriptures that this is the definition of dependent origination. It explains the relationship between things and interdependence at the same time.

The Dharma seal is also translated as the Dharma Text, the Essence and the End, and the Sorrow Tana. Dharma refers to the Dharma, and it is a metaphor for the seal of the Dharma that can confirm the authenticity of the Dharma. Whatever conforms to the Dharma seal is the Dharma, and those that do not conform to the Dharma are not the Dharma. There are three seals, four seals, five seals, and one seal. (1) Three seals. That is, all things are impermanent; There is no self in all laws; Nirvana is silent. That is, the Hinayana sutras, Vinayas, and treatises and the Mahayana sutras and treatises in later generations. (4) A French seal. That is, a reality seal. Reality is the nature of law.

The quotation points out that reality is the foundation of sincerity. The reality is true, that is, the truth is like the heart, and the reality has no false appearance. Sincerity is a true heart, not a vain heart.

And there are three kinds of truths in reality: one is the appearance of nothingness, which refers to its ontology, which is true and not false, without all kinds of differences, and the illusion of false birth and destruction, that is, the equal aspect that is not born and does not perish, and does not move or shake, which is the truth of the true meaning.

The second is that there is no aspect, the essence of reality, although it is empty, there is no way to obtain, but it can manifest a thousand differences according to the circumstances, all the phases, there is no one phase and not the reality, this is the head is the Tao, and the Dharma is true. Possessing the four saints and six mortals, understanding cause and effect, and all things and all appearances, is the truth of the common truth.

The third is that the reality has no appearance and no appearance, and this reality is sincere, and it is unchanging and dependent. Just when all appearances are manifested according to fate. But his essence is empty, and there is nothing to be attained. Just when there is nothing, it is a vacuum that is not empty, and it can be full of wonder. Just when all the appearances appear at random, but there is something wonderful, and the essence is a vacuum. This is the vacuum does not hinder the wonderful being, and the wonderful existence does not hinder the vacuum. This kind of vacuum is like a mirror looking at things, the mirror itself is empty, and it can show all kinds of colors of green, yellow, red and white at will, although the mirror shows all kinds of colors, but the mirror is originally empty. But the color that appears in the mirror, if it is said that it has a certain color, it is wonderful, and if it is said that it does not have a certain color, it is a vacuum. The later Huayan Sutra says:

'One is immeasurable, immeasurable is one, small is big, big is small.

The introduction is indeed the most famous "Amitabha Buddha" in later generations, the root nature of the understanding is extremely high, on the side of the Dharma, compared to Xuantian is a lot higher, at least people can tell what it is, and Xuantian is aware of it but does not know why.

Although there are not many people in the Elysian World, there are many people who were smuggled at the time of the establishment and later, but compared with the Eastern sect, the difference is too far, maybe it is really a person in Bliss, and the understanding of the Dharma is also extremely high.

However, Xuantian can become a saint, naturally there is also his own unique place, the understanding is not worse than the introduction, maybe higher, I didn't understand Buddhism before, just because no one took the lead, now after the introduction, my heart is also touched, I didn't understand the place I didn't understand before, and I was very happy.

At that moment, Xuantian also talked about the other Buddha points he saw.

The Four Noble Truths are: (1) The Truth of Suffering, which refers to the Three Realms and the Six Realms of Reincarnation of Life and Death, which is full of suffering and afflictions. (2) Collecting: Gathering is the meaning of gathering, accumulating, and moving. The collective truth refers to the root of the suffering of all beings. It is said that all sentient beings, due to greed, ? , naivety, etc., cause all kinds of karmic causes, and thus induce the suffering consequences of future birth and death troubles. Fundamentally, the root of sentient beings' suffering lies in ignorance, that is, ignorance of the truth of the Dharma and the truth of life in the universe. It is precisely because of ignorance that sentient beings are in the position of greed. , naivety, slowness, doubt, evil views, and so on, creating all kinds of negative karma; It is precisely because of all kinds of negative karma that sentient beings will suffer all kinds of karma in the future. This is repeated by oneself and reincarnation. (3) True extinction: refers to the extinction of suffering. Destroying the karmic causes of the troubles of the Three Realms and the retribution of the cycle of birth and death, and reaching the realm of nirvana, is called extinction. (4) Truth of the Path: Refers to the path to extinction, mainly referring to the Noble Eightfold Path. Buddhism believes that by practicing according to the Dharma, one can get rid of the suffering of the cycle of birth and death and reach the state of nirvana.

67. Xuantian Western Treatise (II)

(5) Righteousness: the correct way of life, that is, to stay away from all improper occupations and ways of making a living, such as gambling, *, physiognomy, divination, etc. (6) Positive progress: correct efforts, go to evil and follow good, practice diligently, and do not live lazy. (7) Mindfulness: Correct recitation, that is, remembering and upholding the Dharma, not forgetting the truth of Buddhism, and always encouraging oneself. (8) Correct concentration: Correct meditation, that is, to concentrate on one realm, to be quiet in body and mind, to stay away from scattered minds, to visualize the truth of things with Buddhist wisdom, and to gain enlightenment in life.

The 12 causes and conditions, the so-called 12 causes and conditions, are: ignorance, action, cognition, fame, sex, six in, touch, receive, love, take, have, birth, old age and death. (1) Ignorance: Ignorance refers to the state of ignorance of sentient beings about the truth of the Dharma and the truth of life in the universe. It is because of ignorance that there arises action, that is, blind impulses, that is, volitional activities.

2) Dependent cognition: It is precisely because of volitional activity that the mind arises, which is the mental activity, which refers to the initial consciousness that arises after being reborn according to the volitional activity.

3) Cognition of fate and fame: the formation of spiritual and material fetal essence due to mental activity. name, refers to the conceptual, spiritual aspect; Color refers to the color quality, the material aspect of the body.

4) Six places of name and color: Six places, also known as six in, here refer to six roots, that is, eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, mind and other sensory and cognitive organs. At this time, the fetal plasma gradually matures and is about to be born.

5) Six Marginal Touches: Touch finger contact, which refers to the contact between the six sensory and cognitive organs and the outside world after the fetus is born.

6) Touch: Receiving is feeling and accepting, due to the gradual development of the body and mind, the six roots are in frequent contact with the six realms of color, sound, fragrance, taste, touch and law, and produce the corresponding feelings of suffering or happiness, or not bitterness and unhappiness.

7) Receiving love: Love refers to lust and greed, and with the increase of age, on the basis of continuous feeling, there is a sense of discrimination, and there is a feeling of love and dislike.

8) Love: Take is persistence, pursuit, it is because of greed, in adulthood, love is strong, and begins to pursue the outside world.

9) Taking the karma: The existence here refers to the indelible consequences of thoughts and actions, that is, karma, which is divided into three types of karma: good, evil, and unremembered. As a result of perseverance, all kinds of karma have been created.

10) Dependent rebirth: It is precisely because of karma that this karma will inevitably produce future retribution, which will cause people to be reborn after death, which will lead to rebirth in future lives.

11) Birth, old age, and death: If you have life, you will inevitably incur old age and death. In this way, the twelve links are constantly reincarnated in life and death.

Karma is as follows: (1) Evil causes and effects, i.e., the causes of all things that arise are attributed to the power of superpersonality such as the Great Freedom Heaven.

2) No cause and effect, that is, the existing phenomenal world is recognized as the effect, but the cause of this effect is difficult to explore, so the cause of this effect is denied.

3) There is a cause without effect, that is, the existing phenomenal world is recognized as the cause, but the result of this cause is difficult to explore, so the result of this cause is denied.

4) No cause and no effect, that is, negating both cause and effect, and not acknowledging all cause and effect.

If the karmic effect is uncertain, it becomes uncaused; If karma is decided, sentient beings will not become Buddhas. When knowledge and karma can be transferred, it is like two waters are compatible: hot and cold from hot, karma is made by the heart, and karma is turned with the heart".

The Thirty-Seven Qualities, the Thirty-Seven Qualities, also known as the Thirty-Seven Bodhi Divisions, refer to the thirty-seven cultivation methods and paths for the pursuit of wisdom and enlightenment to enter the realm of Nirvana. The 37 qualities are divided into seven sections, namely: the four mindfulness, the four righteous diligence, the four divine feet, the five roots, the five forces, the seven jue branches, and the eightfold path. The two Taoists can enlighten on their own.

The Six Realms of the Three Realms, that is, the six places of the cycle of life and death of all beings, are: Heavenly Dao, Humanity, Asura Dao, Animal Dao, Hungry Ghost Dao, and Hell Dao. Among them, the Heavenly Path, the Humane Path, and the Asura Path are called the Three Good Paths, and the Animal Path, the Hungry Ghost Path, and the Hell Path are called the Three Evil Paths. Except for the Heavenly Dao, which is divided into the Desire Realm Heaven, the Color Realm Heaven, and the Colorless Realm Heaven, the other five realms all belong to the Desire Realm. The concepts of the Six Realms and the Three Realms overlap with each other, and are often referred to as the Three Realms and Six Realms. Nirvana, which is translated as extinction, extinction, extinction, etc., is the ultimate goal and highest state of the practice of the Dharma, and generally refers to the spiritual realm attained after breaking through afflictions and ignorance, which is a state of immortality, transcendence of birth and death, and eternal happiness. Nirvana has sufficient permanence, happiness, self, and purity, which is called the four virtues of Nirvana. The state of nirvana is the eternal and unchanging consciousness, which is called constant; The state of nirvana is free of suffering and is happy, which is called happiness; The realm of Nirvana is free and unfettered, which is called me; The state of nirvana is free from the contamination of afflictions, and it is said to be pure. Nirvana has sufficient permanence, constancy, peace, purity, immortality, immortality, impurity, and happiness, which is called the eight flavors of Nirvana. With the eight flavors of Nirvana and the four virtues of Nirvana, it is constant and constant, peace and happiness are happy, immortality and immortality are me, and purity and impurity are pure.

In short, nirvana is an absolute state of enlightenment and liberation beyond the delusion of the cycle of birth and death. This state is the ultimate goal pursued by Buddhism, and it is an ineffable and inconceivable state of existence that transcends human beings and heavenly blessings. Moreover, the state of nirvana is not attainable only after death. As long as this state is attained, the distinction between life and death has lost its meaning to the enlightener, and whether he is born or after death, he will always be in great freedom and freedom without trouble or confusion.

When the Western religion was established, the foundation of the two was shallow, and they were not as good as the three Qing saints of the East, and they put down a large number of grand wishes to borrow merit from the way of heaven to become holy, but in the fundamentals of the doctrine, the two did not have the transparency of enlightenment, in fact, the current Western religion is fundamentally a framework than the Buddhism of later generations, and if you want to prosper, you have to take the opportunity to improve the doctrine.
