The Kirin 959 is naturally equipped with a new ternary RAM and ROM, although the use of diode analog FETs will increase the space of a single basic component of the ternary chip, resulting in a smaller number of basic elements, but the ternary represents more states, and it is much more efficient with the same ternary chip.
In the ternary system, 9 ternary bits are used as one byte, which is different from the 8 bits per byte in binary.
So a ternary word energy-efficient storage of 19,683 states, instead of 256 binary bytes, is about 76 times longer than binary bytes!
This is enough to store the most commonly used Chinese characters and quite a few rare characters, after all, there are only 3,000 Chinese characters commonly used.

In ternary computers, Xinyuan stipulates 1KB=1000B, 1MB=1000KB, and 1GB=1000MB.

Of course, in fact, no, according to the regulations, the space of 1 byte of ternary and 1 byte of binary can only be put down 1 number or English letter (Chinese characters), most of which should be used more or less, but it can still greatly reduce the size of the file.
Especially for the Chinese Internet is still very advantageous, after all, 2 8-bit bytes in binary can store the next Chinese character, and 1 9-bit byte in ternary is enough.
