Chapter 1: A Journey to the Mountains
One day after the autumn harvest, the Lawrence family had a picnic in the mountains.
The time is lukewarm golden autumn farming season, with blue sky and white clouds in the background.
Tired of seeing the farmland below the hillside, Lawrence, who was tired of building and building, turned around and saw the snowy mountains that had always appeared in the field of vision as a background board.
The rolling mountains are grey, and the white snow that does not melt all year round is only found on the summits of a few high mountains.
The largest and most commonly seen snowy mountain does not seem to have changed at all from the time it first came here to the present.
"What's it like on top of the snowy mountains?"
Lawrence looked at the mountains ahead and the idea came to him.
In the past, I probably just thought about it, according to my own personality, I wouldn't casually go to the mountains to adventure.
However, it seems unconvincing to a man who walked into the mountains and forests with a smaller oil bottle when he was a teenager.
Lawrence has not been adventuring in the mountains for nearly nine years, but nine years of development and growth have passed.
Twenty-five-year-old Lawrence is now stronger than he was a teenager, and his vast and far-reaching territory has not made Lawrence more tired, and he is tired of handling government affairs every day.
People in this world don't ask for much, and most of the problems can be solved by themselves, as long as they don't often ask the people below for money to work, most of the problems are solved by themselves.
If it can't be solved, it can't be solved, and it will naturally pass.
Lawrence was only responsible for a small part of the affairs of the Frozen Lands, and as the prophet of the church, this was enough, leaving the rest to the local "chiefs/consuls" to do.
Religion has always been opposed, but it has never been overthrown, and it will always exist.
Lawrence has never wanted to let the Gran and Io people live the same good life as himself, and he has always shown and planned very clearly, that is, a special national capital with the people of the Cold Land as the main body.
Lawrence could guide outsiders to a better life, but never promised foreigners a good life for themselves.
Even in the Frozen Lands, the standard of living in Oak City and Mountain Manor, Ironforge and Bhumixiu is much higher than that of Vakiri and Southtown.
Compared to the previous era, this era is already very good.
Lawrence spends most of his time with his family, and is not entangled in official duties, working overtime in the office day and night.
In this environment where he was well fed and drunk, and everything was too peaceful inside and out, Lawrence was not distracted by the rest of the matter, but thought more seriously about the affairs of the snowy mountains.
Sophia saw that Lawrence had been looking into the distance, so she turned her head to look in the direction of that side.
There's nothing there, just beautiful, painting-like landscapes.
"Master, what are you thinking?"
Lawrence shifted his gaze from afar, where Sophia and several women were sitting on a blanket eating snacks, and in the distance Salyl and Kassandra were trying their hand at hunting.
"I'm wondering what will happen in those mountains." Lawrence looked into the distance again.
Family trivia and Sophia's words still didn't bring Lawrence back to reality.
Sophia said: "There must be mountains on the mountains, those are all stone mountains, there is no grass on the mountains, there is only a little moss, it looks bare, standing on the mountains can still see the mountains, or we are here, there are flowers and trees." ”
Lawrence found Sophia's words interesting, but the thoughts in her mind were still not dispelled.
"I want to see what's on the mountain." Lawrence smiled and said, "It's just a little over two months before the eternal night, I'll go out for a walk tomorrow." ”
Sophia looked at Lawrence distressed and puzzled, "If you go out to play, wouldn't it be good to go to Pig's Trotter City and Flying Fish Harbor?" It's good to go to Gran Province and Io, why do you have to go to the mountains? It's definitely more troublesome there than we are. ”
Lawrence pondered the question, and it did make sense.
Then I'll answer more formally.
Lawrence looked into the distance and said, "Because I'm going to conquer the mountains!" ”
Sophia has never believed in the teachings of the Church of the Stars, and has no sense of the sea of stars, but the clever Sophia also knows that Lawrence has made up a reason why she must go.
"Then I'll go too!" Sophia quickly got involved.
Lawrence nodded, and then looked at Delenn, who was sitting on the side as if he was fine.
"Delenn, you're with you, and Emerald and Catherine."
Sophia asked, "Master, won't you let Sister Sariel come along?" ”
Lawrence thought for a second, "No need, I'm more familiar with the terrain and precautions on the mountain than her, you can play the role of early warning, Jade can observe, Deren can change the impassable terrain, Catherine can take us to jump off the cliff and carry supplies." ”
"And the family also has to prepare for the winter, and when I'm not there, Losanda and Sariel can take care of the castle's affairs."
Sophia quickly said happily, "I'll go and talk to Sister Sariel!" ”
Soon Saliel and the women of the family gathered to discuss the matter.
Sariel looked at Lawrence with a very incomprehensible expression, "What's there to see on the mountain?" You can't meet a beautiful woman when you go there. ”
"It's an arrogant prejudice." Lawrence said, "You don't understand how great what I've accomplished, so you're staring at my lower body all the time. ”
"Who's looking at you!" Sariel didn't have that habit.
"I think you have the prejudice of arrogance, I am not very capable, and you want me to make a path to the snowy mountains, like a firewood trying to light up the whole eternal night," said Delenn. ”
Oak City is already deep in the mountains, and if you want to go further into the mountains, many of the problems you have to face are the kind that can be fatal.
Kassandra asked, "There's an Earth Storm Bear in there, are there too few of us?" ”
Lawrence and the others ignored the danger of the beast, but Kassandra, a southerner who had only purchased materials for the Earth Storm Bear, still remembered the Earth Storm Bear.
Sariel glared, "yes... The Earth Storm Bear came out of the mountains, and there may be a lot of more powerful beasts in it, Lawrence, you better forget it, the autumn festival is about to begin, and we are too busy to do things every day, don't you still have to go to the shipyard and the southern tribe to see? ”
Sariel talks about all sorts of things to do, and Lawrence admits they need to be done.
There are also courses at the Academy of the Holy Maiden, saltpeter refining in the Valley of Fire, technology research and development in Ironforge Castle, and visits from bishops and royal believers from various regions of the Church of the Stars.
These things will not be busy until next year.
Even if there is no war next year, there will be all kinds of things waiting for you.
If you don't enjoy the good days of spending and drinking, what kind of excitement do you want to go to the dangerous wild mountains? Don't you want a small life?
But young Lawrence soon gave up on the troublesome things that the old men would think about.
Lawrence wanted to see the world behind the backdrop, just to see it.
"I heard the call of the mountains." The False Prophet looked at the mountains in the distance, "The mountains are waiting for me, and I must conquer them!" ”
Sariel and the others looked at each other, there was no need for Keharan and the others to stop them, and Sariel also felt that there was nothing to stop.
Now there is no need to fight, all kinds of things have been arranged, since Lawrence wants to go on an adventure, according to the rules of the Ice Lands, there is really no need to stop it.
Besides, it's not a bad thing, with Delenn and Catherine and others in company, the place to go is not too far and too dangerous, it's basically the backyard area.
Despite her acquiescence, Saril disagreed, "Why do you have to climb a mountain?" ”
Lawrence looked at the mountains in the distance and smiled, "If I don't look at the top of the mountain, I will feel like I am blocked by the mountains, like I am trapped in the background board." ”
Sariel didn't understand this thought, "Is it a conquest to go out and see?" ”
"Pretty much." Lawrence smiled, "I'm going to prove that the mountains can't stop us, I'm going to get to all the places where the Vakiri, the Siddles, and the Pumitheans haven't been, and then tell them the scenery!" (End of chapter)
