Chapter XXIV. Tianmu Boy

Over the years that I have followed Master, I have already known that the depth of Taoism in this industry is not measured by age. It's just that when I saw the big hair in front of me, I was still a little surprised.

He was short and very thin, both of whom were 14 years old, but his voice was still a child's. It looks like an eleven or twelve-year-old child.

I don't question Da Mao's ability, Mr. Wang Chengqian is not a frivolous person, since he asked Da Mao to help, he must be outstanding, after all, he is Da Mao's master, he is the person who knows his apprentice best.

So I half-squatted down and said to Da Mao, hello little brother, wait a minute, come with me to a place, can you do me a favor? The reason why I had to squat was because Da Mao was so much shorter than me that I had to talk to him in a childlike way.

Mr. Wang Chengqian told me that this child grew up with his grandmother, and his parents did not know where to go. His grandmother was a good believer of mine, and I used to rescue his family in my early years. But then his grandmother died, and the child was helpless, and he should have been registered to be raised by the state, and I saw that he was pitiful, so I secretly took him out, and he was just 8 years old at the time, and he has been learning the craft with me all these years.

Da Mao kept looking at me with blank eyes, it seemed that the masters he had always seen were all about the same age as Mr. Wang Chengqian, and I was also a young master, so when he saw me, he was still a little curious. Mr. Wang Chengqian went on to say, you look at the child, he is shorter than other children of the same age, and he looks thinner, not long after I took him in, the child had a serious illness, delayed nutrition, and took off more than half a year, after getting better, his development is more delayed than other children.

If it weren't for Mr. Wang Chengqian saying that the child was sick, I might really think that Da Mao couldn't eat and sleep well at Mr. Wang Chengqian's house. Mr. Wang Chengqian said to Da Mao, Da Mao, you go with this senior brother, listen to the senior brother's instructions, the senior brother has no heavenly eyes, you can help him watch. You have to do this for Master, otherwise, you won't go home!"

Mr. Wang Chengqian's words sounded harsh, but there was a kind of love and pride everywhere. Earlier, when Master took me to visit, I knew that Mr. Wang Chengqian had a family and children, and his children were a few years older than Da Mao, but he did not teach his children to learn his skills, but sent him to school. As a master on the rivers and lakes, if his own craftsmanship is not inherited, it will be a lifelong regret, Da Mao is to fill this point, maybe Mr. Wang Chengqian is so important, although I only saw Da Mao for the first time today, I also understand that this is not good-looking, and even looks stunted children, must have outstanding talents.

At this time, Mr. Wang Chengqian asked me to wait at the door, and he wanted to explain today's matter to Da Mao. I thought that he should have told Da Mao how to start this matter, and this kind of oral transmission between master and apprentice, of course, people from other sects should not participate. Soon Da Mao walked out, carrying a canvas crossbody bag with a portrait of Chairman Mao on it and a few big words written underneath: Serve the people.

On the way back to Longmen, Da Mao and I basically didn't talk much, just hurried away. After about half an hour, we returned to Old Man Zhang's house. Uncle Ma had been waiting at the door for a long time, and when he saw me coming back, he was at first happy because I had not escaped. But when he saw that I had brought a child back, he was a little surprised, so he asked me puzzled, this... What is this little baby here for?

I told Uncle Ma that I was the one I had asked to help. Uncle Ma said loudly, aren't you fooling around? I thought you had brought some master back, and how could such a kid help? Don't mess around!

Da Mao looked at Uncle Ma and looked a little unhappy, but he still didn't speak, just silently approached me a few steps and stood behind me. I hurriedly said to Uncle Ma, Uncle Ma, don't say that, people can't be good-looking, this little master is a capable person. Since I came to him, it makes sense.

So Uncle Ma stopped talking and stood by with a look of disbelief. I said to Da Mao, your master told you about the situation just now, right? Da Mao nodded. I said, do you know how to do it now? Da Mao said, let me see the state of the ghost first, generally speaking, as long as it is still around here, I have a way to know. I said okay, then let's start now, Da Mao, you remember, in my Yuanguang technique just now, the development is a rifle, so you have to write down any information related to this thing. Da Mao nodded, walked towards Old Man Zhang's house, and when he passed by Uncle Ma's side, he waved his hand to Uncle Ma, and then said, this uncle, let me go, don't make trouble.

I couldn't help but laugh out loud, Uncle Ma stood there so angry that his eyebrows were about to fly, but he still reluctantly moved away.

I followed Da Mao into the house and helped light the kerosene lamp. It was past noon, but it was still dark in the room. Da Mao asked me to help him raise the kerosene lamp a little higher so that the whole room could be seen a little more clearly. Da Mao stood in the center of the room, after distinguishing the south, south, north, and west, he turned around in turn in the order of south, north, east, and west, and every time he turned around, he rubbed his face several times with his hands as if he was holding water to wash his face, and the last step of each time was to rub his eyelids with his fingers. After doing this four times, he opened his eyes and put the fingers of his hands together, but the thumb and forefinger of both hands were interlocked. In this way, the four fingers of the thumb and index finger of his hands form the shape of an eye.

I know this mudra, I have seen it in the book, this is called the "Heavenly Eye Seal", usually there is a heavenly eye or a master who has opened the heavenly eye, often make such a handprint, through the eye composed of that hand, it is said that we can see a lot of substances that we can't usually see with the naked eye.

The last time I visited Mr. Wang Chengqian, I asked a lot about whether the so-called eye of heaven is the eye of yin and yang, where ghosts can be seen. However, Mr. Wang Chengqian told me that the level of the heavenly eye is higher than that of the yin and yang eyes, and the yin and yang eyes are mostly determined by the individual's physique or destiny, for example, some people are not in good health, and such people belong to people who are closer to death than normal people. So it's more familiar to the other world after death. But the eye of heaven needs to be learned and practiced, the yin and yang eyes can only see ghosts, and can see the form of ghosts very specifically, such as whether they have a head or no head, and whether they are hideous or not, which is very concrete. The eye of heaven can see the six sentient beings, from the heavenly officials, gods and Buddhas, to the demons and monsters. However, it is not a figurative form, but a round, ball-like thing.

To a certain extent, the Heavenly Eyes are somewhat similar to the Circular Light Technique, because the beings they see in the six realms are all presented in a state of circular light, and the difference is only in the size, the strength of the halo, and the color of the light. And these are the states that distinguish sentient beings. For example, the gods and Buddhas are golden balls with a rainbow halo around them, and monks and real people are pure white balls with diffuse mist around them. The ghosts formed after the death of ordinary people are, in the eyes of the sky, a gray-white ball.

Da Mao raised his sealed hands to the heart of his head, and then said in his mouth:

"The patriarch is above, the disciple is below, God has an edict, let me be psychic, open the gate of heaven, the nine orifices are bright, the heaven and the earth are the sun and the moon, illuminate my body, open the door quickly, change the soul and turn into a god, and be as urgent as a law!"

Then Da Mao put his hand in front of his eyes and began to look around. This is the first time I've seen someone use the Tianmu technique, and I think it's very novel, but the most important thing at the moment is to investigate, so I didn't ask questions. After Da Mao looked at it for two or three minutes, he put down his hand and said to me, there is a gray-white ghost here, it should be the old man you said, he has been wandering around the bedside, I silently asked him to come over, and he didn't come.

I asked Da Mao that if he didn't come, he wouldn't be able to ask things clearly, right? Da Mao said yes, generally speaking, Tianmu sees the six sentient beings, and if you want to ask about things, you need the cooperation of the other party. And Tianmu doesn't need to say what you want to ask, but after seeing them, you just need to communicate with them in your heart, as long as you have no distractions in your heart, and the other party has no malicious intentions, then it is easy to find out.

I walked to the head of Uncle Zhang's bed and asked Da Mao if he was here? Da Mao said yes, it has been wandering around here, so I'm afraid there's something weird here. I said, but I've searched the room just now, and there's nothing but a pile of. Da Mao walked up to me and began to rummage through it. He asked me to stand aside first, looking for it, and checking it myself, and finally, he picked up the bran pillow on the bed, handed it to me, and said, Have you checked this pillow? I said checked. He said that when I picked up the pillow, the ghost followed the pillow, indicating that the pillow was the key. I was puzzled and turned the pillow and examined it again carefully.

This time, I noticed a patch on the cover of the pillow that looked similar in color. Because it was stuffed with chaff, I pressed it a little harder, and this time, I felt something hard. Da Mao and I glanced at each other, and Da Mao said, take it apart and take a look, everyone is dead, and this is the only way.

So I took the thread off the patch and reached into the pillow to find it. Soon I touched something a little hard, took it out and saw that it was a small bag wrapped in brown paper, and when I opened it, I found that there were some food stamps and banknotes, including some pre-liberation fiat currency, most of which were 5,000 denominations. In addition to this, there were about a dozen unopened letters.
