Curriculum
Reminder before viewing
PS1: The original book does not have a clear curriculum, and it may even be that the curriculum itself is chaotic.
Therefore, most of the curriculum in this book is purely free-for-all.
PS2: The original book is from the perspective of Gryffindor, so the idea of the timetable is to get the Gryffindor timetable first, and then follow the Gryffindor timetable to develop the timetable of other houses.
PS3: Since the original book involves too little content in the course, I added some movie content as a reference.
PS4: In order to reduce the workload and avoid the overwork of the teachers at Hogwarts, two houses are scheduled to have a class by default, and try to arrange that each house has the opportunity to attend classes with the other three houses.
-----------------
First of all, it is necessary to clarify the Hogwarts curriculum, there are a total of eight compulsory courses in the first year.
Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, Herbs, Flying, History of Magic, Astronomy, Defense Against the Dark Arts.
Second, reason about which course or courses are available each day.
Here is the process:
I, 1-8
Every Wednesday night, they use binoculars to observe the starry sky.
Three times a week, they were taken by a stocky witch named Sprout to the greenhouse at the back of the castle for a herb class.
The lesson that the class is really looking forward to is Defence Against the Dark Arts. But Professor Quirrell's lesson was almost a joke.
Conclusion: There are astronomy classes every Wednesday evening, and herbal medicine classes three times a week
II, 1-8
"Two Potions lessons with Slytherin students."
"Professor McGonagall is the Head of Gryffindor House, but she gave them a lot of homework yesterday."
It was a Friday, and Hagrid invited Harry to the cottage for the afternoon.
Conclusion: Two Potions classes on Friday morning, no classes in the afternoon, and yesterday Thursday, there was a Transfiguration class
III, 1-9
Flying lessons are starting on Thursday...... At half past three that afternoon, Harry, Ron, and the other Gryffindor students hurried down the steps...... Get ready for their first flying lesson...... The Slytherin students were already there.
Conclusion: Gryffindor and Slytherin have flying lessons on Thursday afternoon, and no lessons at 3:30 p.m.
IV, 1-13
The next morning, in Defence Against the Dark Arts class......
Conclusion: Dark Magic Defense in the morning
V, 1-14
Then, at breakfast time one day...... Ron didn't want to take a herb class anymore and wanted to go straight to Hagrid's cabin.
Corollary: One morning, the first period is a herbal medicine class
vi, 1-10
It's too long, briefly explain:
It was Halloween, and Hermione was angry with Ron in Charms class, and she didn't show up for the next class, and she didn't see anyone all afternoon.
Conclusion: Halloween 1991 was a Thursday, so there was a Charms class on Thursday morning, and at least two classes.
Seven, movies
The first class of school was Potions, which was taken with Slytherin.
-----------------
Putting it together, the identified courses are:
On Monday, the first period in the morning is the Transfiguration class
On Wednesdays, there is an astronomy class in the evening
On Thursdays, there are two classes in the morning, the first for Charms and the afternoon for flying
Friday: Two Potions classes in the morning and no classes in the afternoon
In addition to that, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the first class of one day is a herbal medicine class
It is reasonable to assume that there are two Potions classes a week, and important classes such as Transfiguration and Charms are both two times a week. There are two arguments:
One is that I think the three courses are equally important, so it makes sense that the number of courses is the same.
Second, the only thing that the original book mentions a specific number of classes a week is the herbal medicine class, three classes. I think this means that the herbology class is the most of all the classes, and the only one that has three sessions per week.
As a result, other courses have and are only two sessions at most.
In addition to this, flying lessons, astronomy lessons are confirmed to be only one session per week.
If you want to add a class, then only the History of Magic class and the Defense Against the Dark Arts class can add a lesson each, but this doesn't make sense.
Because the history of magic is certainly not important, it is reasonable that the first year will have at most one lesson a week like flying and astronomy.
And is the subject of Dark Magic Defense important? It's important, but it's not important enough.
I don't think it could be arranged into two main classes a week, so only one session will be scheduled.
And, don't forget that there are seven grades at Hogwarts! There are too many arrangements, and I'm afraid of conflict with the senior students.
In addition, put a picture for you to feel, this is the class schedule of the black magic defense teacher made by the big guy of Zhihu.
So in total, there are 13 classes a week in the first grade.
In view of the fact that first-year students have just entered the school, we limit the number of lessons to three sessions per day as much as possible.
From this, it is concluded that:
Gryffindor Class Schedule:
Based on the Gryffindor curriculum, the curriculum of the other three major colleges is deduced:
Slytherin Class Schedule:
Ravenclaw Class Schedule:
Hufflepuff Class Schedule:
PS: I haven't found any conflicts and omissions in these schedules for the time being, if you find them, you can leave a message, and I'll change them as soon as possible.
