Chapter 54: The Room of Responsiveness

Late at night.

Ash got out of bed lightly, so as not to wake Cho Zhang, he didn't want to give this poor girl another shot-

He was referring to passing out.

He walked through the quiet common room and down the spiral staircase out of Ravenclaw Tower.

While tomorrow is still the weekend, he plans to go to the Forbidden Forest tonight to catch two more magical beasts.

But before that, he had to go to another place.

The eighth floor of Hogwarts houses not only the Ravenclaw Tower and the Gryffindor Tower, but also the Headmaster's Office, and Ash is looking for a painting.

"This is it."

Ash stopped in a hallway, and in front of him was a large tapestry with a man and four trolls.

The four trolls, all dressed in white tutus, form a circle.

And the wizard stood in their hands, dancing ballet and waving his wand, trying to teach the trolls in front of them. However, the only reaction from these trolls was to take turns to pick up the huge wooden or bone sticks in their hands and knock him flat with a single stick.

The tapestry is called "The Troll Sticks Beat the Fool Barnabas" and describes a real historical event:

A wizard named Silly Barnabas once made a foolish attempt to teach trolls ballet.

As a result, the images on the tapestry are both brutal and hilarious, and are often used as a warning to the students of Hogwarts.

The world famous paintings of the wizarding world belong to yes.

On the opposite side of the tapestry is a blank wall without any superfluous decoration.

Ash skillfully paced back and forth in front of the tapestry, while silently reciting in his heart:

"I'm looking for the Ravenclaw crown."

When he passed the wall for the third time, there was an extra sleek door on it.

Ash pushed the door open and entered, revealing a cathedral-sized room, with pillars of light from the windows that looked like a city with high walls, but the walls were actually made of objects that had been hidden for thousands of years.

The streets and alleys were littered with crumbling piles of broken furniture, perhaps crammed here to hide evidence of mistaken magic, or hidden by house-elves who maintained the castle's decency.

Ash stepped into this labyrinth of countless collections, with thousands of books, undoubtedly banned, scribbled, or stolen; There were winged slingshots and wolf-tooth saucers, several of which were still limp hovering over the mountains of forbidden objects; Some of the broken bottles contained potions that had already solidified......

Suddenly, Ash stopped.

Next to him sat an ugly old wizard with an old gray hair cover and a rusty crown on his head.

Ash weighed the crown with a subtle expression: "It's really here." ”

Hiding his Horcrux in Hogwarts should he be confident, or should he be ignorant? Didn't he think about the consequences of being found?

But that's right.

Even if people find it, they can't imagine that this is Voldemort's Horcrux, and they can't even guess that this will be Ravenclaw's crown.

Ash put the crown in his pocket, turned and walked back the way he came, leaving the Room of Requirement.

But he didn't rush out of the hallway, but paced back and forth three more steps, and then pushed the door open again.

When Ash re-enters the Room of Requirement, he is greeted by a Gothic-style hall instead of the labyrinthine city of the past. Sunlight pours into the room from the high windows, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere through the natural grain and colour of the wood.

Directly in front of the hall was a one-man tall glass building, with a small door opening on the side facing Ash. The building doesn't look big, but inside it contains an endless forest!

On the second floor of the hall, there are three other breeding houses with different styles:

A swamp under the moonlight, a sunny sandy beach, and a meadow at dusk.

The environment of each breeding house is completely different, and it also corresponds to the habitat required by different magical animals.

"Except for the absence of Fantastic Beasts, it looks almost exactly the same as before."

Looking at this layout, which was almost the same as before, Ash's face couldn't help but show a little nostalgia.

The Room of Requirement is a masterpiece of magic, as it automatically transforms one of the areas inside into what the visitor wants.

In layman's terms, the Room of Requirement is equivalent to a blank sheet of paper.

When someone enters the Room of Requirement, the House of Request draws a small house in the corner of a white piece of paper based on the image in people's minds.

The 'responsive house' that visitors enter is actually this small house, which may be only one-ten-thousandth the size of a blank sheet of paper.

The same is true of Ash's feedlot.

It's just that his 'little house' is a little bigger, about a tenth of the area of the white paper.

Ash thought for a moment and casually placed Ravenclaw's tiara on the table.

Of course, the crown could not be returned to Voldemort, and it was not suitable to carry with him, which might be sensed by Voldemort.

It wasn't impossible to leave it to Dumbledore, but Ash needed to study it before then.

Whether it's the Horcrux itself, or that part of Voldemort's soul.

Leaving the Room of Requirement again, Ash didn't stop any longer, walking in the direction of the marble staircase.

He's got a lot more to do tonight - like protecting a few more magical beasts.

As Ash made his way up the marble staircase to the hallway on the third floor, a Norwegian forest cat blocked his way.

Meow~!

Mrs. Loris let out a happy cry and circled around Ash, rubbing her head against his trouser leg from time to time.

Ash had no choice but to crouch down and gently stroke Lady Loris's hair, causing the cat to purr happily.

Syllable!

With the sound of slight footsteps, Filch, carrying a lantern, appeared on the other side of the hallway.

Filch carried a lantern to illuminate Ash's face and asked in surprise:

"Mr. Black, why are you?"

Ash shrugged his shoulders and greeted with a smile:

"Mr. Filch, your complexion looks much better."

When Filch heard this, his face improved a lot, and he didn't embarrass Ai Xu, but just asked:

"Did you see a pair of twins?"

"You mean the Weasley brothers?" Ash asked.

"Yes." Filch said viciously:

"Those damn twins, they have to slip out almost every night! When I catch them, I promise I'll keep them in lockdown! ”

Ash shook his head and said calmly:

"I just came down from the upstairs, and I didn't see anyone on the way, so they probably didn't go this way."

Filch frowned, and warned in a deep voice:

"Mr. Black, Hogwarts is forbidden to go out at night, I hope you can get back to the common room soon!"

Ash actively admitted his mistake and said sincerely:

"No problem, Mr. Filch, I'll go back at once."

Filch withdrew his gaze from Ash, not caring if he would actually go back to the common room, and walked down the hallway to the other side.

He didn't believe he couldn't catch the damn twin today!
