Chapter 64: It Makes Sense
Looking at the quill floating in the air, Filch couldn't help but ask:
"What is this?"
"Automatic quill."
Ash smiled, "It automatically records everything you say, so you don't have to write it by hand." β
"But why would you do that?" Filch asked with a look of disbelief.
Ash explains:
"Well, I just think Mr. Filch should be able to use this pen. I'm sorry if I did something superfluous. β
"No, I probably do." Filch took a deep breath and limped to the table.
Ash thoughtfully explains:
"You've got to dip it in an inkwell and spread out a clean piece of parchment on the table and place it on top of the parchment before it starts working."
As he said, Filch carefully grabbed the quill and dipped it in some black ink, spread out a piece of parchment, and placed the quill upright on it.
He hesitated for a moment before speaking tentatively:
"Lady Loris."
The quill immediately began to write, the tip of the pen deftly gliding across the parchment, leaving behind a printer-like handwriting:
Mrs Norrisγ
Ash asked:
"Are you satisfied, Mr. Filch?"
Filch's originally pale face regained some rosiness, and he looked a little excited, trying to make his tone appear flat:
"Not bad, I should be able to use it."
The quill faithfully recorded this sentence.
Ash glanced at Filch's expression and explained:
"When you don't need to use it, grab it, or put the parchment away."
Filch immediately grabbed the quill, put the parchment in a drawer, and said as if nothing had happened:
"If nothing else, Mr. Black, you can leave."
"Okay."
Ash smiled and nodded, and turned to leave Filch's office.
He ascended the marble staircase, but instead of reaching the eighth floor, he left the staircase on the third floor and entered the dimly lit hallway, stopping in front of a hunchbacked one-eyed witch and waving his wand lightly:
βDissendiumγβ

In the Slytherin common room, Harley repented:
"Kassandra, we shouldn't have left him!"
Kassandra exasperated:
"But what can I do? Or can you convince Filch? β
Hallie whispered:
"But at least we can be locked up with him......"
Kassandra's voice seemed to be suppressing her anger, and she asked:
"What's the point of that? Ash saved us, and he preferred to be locked up in Filch so we could get back to the break room. If we were to be locked up with him, wouldn't it be all in vain for Ash's efforts? β
Hallie hurriedly explained:
"I'm sorry, Kassandra, IβI'm not blaming you...... I was just...... It's a little uncomfortable. β
She lowered her head and pursed her lips.
Kassandra deflated:
"I know, because so do I."
They all knew that Ash would be taken and locked up by Filch, but they could only watch, they couldn't do anything......
Kassandra clenched her wand, if she had enough strength, if she would pass out and forget, maybe they would be able to defeat Filch and Ash would not be captured.
And if she could have been stronger, able to defeat the three-headed dog that had almost killed them, Filch wouldn't even notice them!
"If only I could get stronger......"
Kassandra's heart was full of unwillingness, but she also invisibly planted a seed of becoming stronger in her heart! γ
Harley suddenly whispered:
"That three-headed dog, maybe it has something to do with Hagrid."
"Hagrid?"
Kassandra immediately cast her gaze, and Harley explained:
"Hagrid mentioned the three-headed Lowe before, and that's probably what he was referring to."
Kassandra frowned and said angrily:
"How dare they put such a monster in the school?"
Harley's tone was a little uncertain, and she hesitated:
"What does it seem to be watching? I seem to see a trapdoor at its feet. β
Kassandra did not hesitate to say:
"Anyway, we'll have to go to Hagrid tomorrow and ask for clarification!"
Harley bowed her head silently, she also wanted to ask Hagrid for the reason, but she was not as straightforward as Kassandra.
Because Dumbledore had actually warned everyone a long time ago that if you don't want to die, don't enter the corridor on the right side of the fourth floor, which is a forbidden area. They even thoughtfully locked the door, which they had broken into to avoid Fairch.
In other words, this is actually their own responsibility, and it is their own trespassing in the forbidden area that will become like this. If Ash hadn't appeared in time to save them from the mouth of the three-headed dog, they would have died a terrible death as Dumbledore said!
And......
Harrie suddenly remembered something - on the day Hagrid took her to Gringotts, Hagrid was commissioned by Dumbledore to retrieve a dirty small package from Vault 713.
What did Hagrid say at the time?
If you're looking to store something, Gringotts is the safest place in the world β except for Hogwarts.
So, the three-headed dog Lou Wei is guarding that dirty little package?
What's hidden in there?
-----------------
Hogsmeade.
Ash walked down the path to the Forbidden Forest, rethinking what had just happened.
"It was a coincidence to meet Halle and Kassandra on the eighth floor, and they were there because Kassandra was going to the bathroom."
"And I go out every night, and I run into them because I've just come out of the Room of Requirement, and I'm about to leave Hogwarts through the secret passage."
"Because they were going so fast, I couldn't catch up in the first place. In order not to be discovered by Filch, and because it was impossible to determine that the two were Harley and Kassandra, they were not called by name. β
"When the staircase changes, it's confirmed that it's Hallie and Kassandra. But for the same reason, he didn't call them by name, so he had to take a detour up the stairs on the side of the Charms classroom to find them. β
But my shadow was mistaken for Filch by Harley and Kassandra, and they ran to the right hallway on the fourth floor, nearly killing Ruwi. And I was able to save them in time because I was tracking Harley all the way. β
"It's a bit of a coincidence, but it all makes perfect sense from every point of view."
"So, of course, this doesn't arouse Dumbledore's suspicions."
Ash put away his thoughts and looked ahead, Shirako was already waiting for him there.
Although he is a little sorry for Harley and Kassandra, if he wants to get the Philosopher's Stone in a reasonable and coincidental way, he can only rely on it this way.
He can't take the initiative to touch the Philosopher's Stone, so he can only rely on coincidence to create opportunities.
For Hallie and Kassandra, who had a break room in the basement, astronomy class was their only chance to break into the restricted area on the fourth floor.
