Chapter 15: Dursley's Wrath
Muen flipped the pages back to the table of contents, looked at a section in the history of modern magic, and was silent for a moment.
"Sit down, I don't know much about you, but maybe the book will give us the answer."
Harry noticed the Modern History of Magic on the book cover, which made him feel a little strange, but he didn't say anything more, but sat down as he said.
Then, Mu En turned the book to that page, and began to tell as he read it.
Under Mu En's gentle and slow pace, a picture scroll from more than ten years ago gradually spread out in Harry's eyes, and then, the picture scroll became more and more piercing, making him feel cold.
An hour later, Muen buttoned up the book, took a deep breath, and turned to look at Harry.
Harry's eyes were a little red, as Munn had said, he was trying to hide his emotions, but the intertwined fingers that kept writhing showed that he wasn't as calm as he seemed.
It was a long time before Harry said, "I..."
His throat was so hoarse that he almost choked, and after coughing twice, he smiled bitterly, "Aunt Penny, they kept telling me... My parents died in a car accident. β
"If you want to vent your emotions, please." Muen waved his hand and placed the book on the table.
Harry shook his head, "Actually... I don't know what to say, I'm not as sad as I imagined. Uncle Muen, am I... It's too cold. β
"Of course it's not your problem." Mu En shook his head: "After all, you've never seen them. We only know a little bit of their past from the cold words of the history books.
Their preferences, their personalities, even we don't know what they look like... Maybe in the future, these things will enter your mind bit by bit. Cuts you like a blunt knife..."
Harry was silent for a few moments before he said, "I think... I want to know a little bit more about them. β
"Of course, it should be." Muen nodded, pushing the book in front of Harry.
He didn't know Harry's parents, so he could only give Harry the history books, which didn't help him much.
Maybe in the future, when Harry goes to Hogwarts, he can learn more about Jaime and Lily's life trajectory there.
Harry carefully flipped the pages, and Munn stood up and went into the kitchen......
In the evening, Harry said goodbye to Uncle Muen on the couch and closed the door, and it rained lightly in London again, waiting for a red sedan that was blackened in the night to pass by.
He was a little confused all night, and his parents always had different voices and smiles in his mind, and then they were erased by denial.
What kind of people are they, what do they talk like, how do they laugh?
If they weren't dead, wasn't everything different?
All kinds of chaotic thoughts were constantly intertwined in his mind, like knotted threads, and he didn't know what to do with them.
Pushing open the door, what greeted me was still the house that looked warm, but was actually cold.
What if it were Mom and Dad in the house at this time?
Click-
The door was pushed open again, and Uncle Vernon walked in in his brown coat, with an angry expression, and as soon as he entered, he saw Harry standing in the doorway, and pushed him away, swearing in his mouth:
"Get back to your house, you're still in confinement!!"
After scolding, he took off his coat covered with water droplets and hung it on the coat rack, and then walked towards the living room.
Petunia also walked out of the living room and hugged Vernon.
"You already knew?"
Suddenly, a voice rang out behind Vernon.
His fat body turned around the hallway with some difficulty, his eyes narrowed into a line, obviously very angry: "What did you say? β
Harry stood up and looked at the two of them calmly, "My parents are wizards, you already know about it. My mom is your sister, isn't she?! β
Penny took two steps back, her mouth trembling open and her face full of horror. Vernon's entire face suddenly turned into a boiling kettle, red and hot, and convulsed.
"Not allowedβ"
His voice sounded like a volcano about to erupt, and his huge body pressed down quickly towards Harry.
Until it was in front of Harry's face.
"Don't say that word in this house!!"
Harry looked at Uncle Vernon's face and suddenly realized that he was less afraid.
On the contrary, he seemed to understand why Uncle Muen told him not to put emotions on his face.
Although he had seen Uncle Vernon's angry face many times, this time, he saw something else in the anger.
"You do!!" Harry understood that for the first time, he had chosen to confront Uncle Vernon's wrath.
He said solemnly, "Otherwise, why you hate magic so much, it's because you know magic." β
"Shut up!!" Vernon grabbed Harry by the collar and opened the door to the closet, trying to shove him inside.
Harry struggled, clutching at the doorframe and screaming, "I just want to know why you're lying to me, is that wrong?!" β
"Shut up! Shut up! Uncle Vernon snapped Harry's fingers one by one and threw him to the tiny bed in the closet.
Bang β
The door slammed shut, the white staircase dust fell on top of Harry's head, and the window of the small door opened again, and Uncle Vernon stared at Harry.
"I don't know how you know this, but from today onwards, you're not allowed to go anywhere."
He didn't care how Harry knew about these things, but from this day forward, everything would be strangled in his cradle.
With that, Vernon closed the window.
Penny kept patting her chest and taking deep breaths, she was terrified, this guy, how dare he talk like this in this house!
Vernon patted his wife on the shoulder, constantly comforting.
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
The two of them were taken aback, who would visit them at this time?
After one glance, Vernon sent Penny to the living room couch before reaching the door and opening it.
Outside the door, there was a man in a straight suit with a cold and angular face. He wears a brown jazz hat and a woolen coat.
"Can I come in? As a visiting neighbor. Muen took off her hat and smiled gently.
"No, I refuse!" Vernon said angrily, but Muen had already walked in, and his face was still admiring: "It's really bright, I actually want to have more lamps in my house, but unfortunately there are no complete electrical facilities." β
As he spoke, he took off his hat and coat and hung it on the coat rack.
"As I said, you're not welcome hereβ"
Mu En had never heard of it, and walked straight forward, passing by the closet, Harry's voice rang out, and he banged on the door, asking for something. He already knew from the sound who was coming.
But Mu En just opened the window and said, "It's time for you to sleep, boy." β
"I..."
"Trust me."
After Mu En finished speaking, he closed the small window again. With a wave of his hand on the small door, he cut off the sound from inside and outside.
Then he turned his head to look at the black barrel and the figure behind the shotgun.
"Mr. Dursley, I just want everyone to talk calmly about the child, are you sure you want to do that?"
