Chapter 10: Unexpected Petitions

Half an hour later, Jimmy drove out of the RV campground.

At the same time, his mouth was still babbling:

"Generous Crab!"

"I must be crazy!"

Just now, he made a crazy decision.

Giving up the legal counsel who was about to arrive at the Yellowstone Ranch, he decided to follow Jamie to New York to start from scratch.

Jimmy had always thought he was a sane person, but now he made such a fucking decision.

As he made his decision, he was reminded of the angry and disappointed face of his brother Chuck when he released him from prison on bail a few years ago.

Jimmy's expression at that time, Jimmy can remember for a lifetime.

In order to change his bad image in his brother's mind, Jimmy changed his mind after being released from prison, starting as an intern in the mailroom of his brother's law firm, and finally obtained a community college diploma and a lawyer's license through his unremitting efforts.

While Jimmy was still immersed in the joy of being a real lawyer, his brother Charlie and his lawyer's partner did not look down on Jimmy at all.

They are all legal elites who have graduated from prestigious schools and are naturally superior.

And Jimmy has a community college diploma from pheasants to no longer pheasants, relying on unpopular words and routines, and cleverness that can't be on the stage, he wants to be on an equal footing with their elites.

It's a complete dream!

For the sake of Jimmy's brother's face, the law firm did not fire Jimmy, but a workplace exclusion is inevitable.

After Jimmy's brother suffered from a rare electromagnetic wave allergy and could not continue to work, he had to go home to recuperate, and Jimmy was kicked away by the law firm for a random reason.

After constantly falling, getting up, falling again, getting up again, and even becoming a mobile phone salesman for a time.

Although Jimmy can only work on some projects that cannot be put on the table, with perseverance and hard work, he has finally established himself in the lawyer industry.

However, his brother Chuck still thinks that Jimmy is not on the right path, and will only play clever, and he believes from the bottom of his heart that Jimmy cannot be a good lawyer.

That's bigger than all the blows Jimmy had ever experienced before.

At the same time, Jimmy swears that he must make a fool of himself, so that his brother and those who don't think of him will realize that they are wrong!

That's when a phone call from Montana gives Jimmy hope.

The largest ranch in the United States lacked a consultant who was well-versed in legal matters, and the other party somehow learned of Jimmy's phone number and invited him to come for an interview.

To seize this opportunity, Jimmy drove from south to north, across the United States, all the way to the Yellowstone Ranch.

When I arrived at the place, I found out that Yellowstone Ranch had its own legal counsel, and they were just recruiting an alternate consultant.

To put it bluntly, it's a spare tire, the kind that the devil knows when it will be used.

Even so, Jimmy was undeterred.

It took him half a year to get his bar license in Montana, and he was looking forward to getting through the current legal counsel at Yellowstone Ranch.

Early one morning, however, Jimmy witnessed the female lawyer named Linnell Perry coming out of the rancher's house, John Dutton.

originally thought that everyone was fair competition, who used to rely on relationships to get to the top.

At this point, Jimmy was completely desperate.

If it hadn't been for the chance to learn of Jamie's existence, Jimmy would have been back in New Mexico by now.

He could even imagine the banter on his brother Chuck, and his partner, Howard, the bastard who kicked Jimmy out of the law firm, when he learned about it.

So when he learns from Jamie that Linnell is leaving, Jimmy's reaction is that a pie falls from the sky and smashes it on his head.

It's finally your turn!

However, before he could rejoice, Jimmy suddenly thought about how his brother Chuck would react when he learned about it.

Based on Jimmy's understanding of his brother, the other party will most likely not be pleased with Jimmy's success, but will think that Jimmy is just lucky, and the blind cat meets the dead mouse, so he becomes the legal counsel of Yellowstone Ranch.

After all, although the job is great, it is really not that challenging.

Naturally, it doesn't bring much sense of accomplishment.

Jimmy hesitated.

Following a decision that he regretted very much afterwards, he decided to go to New York and fight for a piece of the sky by his own efforts.

When he becomes famous, even his brother Chuck and Edward, the self-proclaimed elite bastard, will look up to him.

That's New York, after all!

The Imperial State, the Center of the World!

Being able to gain a foothold in New York is much more accomplished than relying on luck to become a legal counsel for Yellowstone Ranch.

Blame that damn dream!

Jimmy slapped the steering wheel hard.

However, just as he was distracted, a figure suddenly appeared on the straight road illuminated by the high beams in front of him.

Jimmy honked his horn and slammed on the brakes.

Originally, if the other party reacted quickly enough, he would have been able to dodge in time.

But for some reason, the guy turned a deaf ear to the headlights and horns, and just stood straight in the middle of the road.

Jimmy had already slammed the brakes all the way down, but the car still crashed into the other man.

Bang!

After being knocked into the air, the other party smashed on the windshield, and his body flew up in the air and rolled down more than ten meters behind the car.

Jimmy, who stopped the car, hurriedly got out of the car and ran over to check on the other party's situation.

The guy who was knocked off was covered in blood and fell to the ground motionless.

Looking at the other party's skinny appearance, Jimmy didn't even have to think about it to conclude that this guy must be an addict, and he got drunk on drugs, and the ghost knows how to run off the road.

Reaching out to probe the other person's snort, Jimmy's face changed dramatically.

Fack!

This guy is dead!

Jimmy kicked the pebbles on the side of the road in anger and stood there with his hands on his hips.

His first reaction was to call the police, but as soon as he took out his mobile phone, he hesitated.

A second ago, he was ambitious enough to go to New York to do a big job, and if the call went out, he could face at least ten years in prison.

The damn place of the prison, Jimmy had vowed never to go to that place again in his life since he had been in it once.

Conceal this matter and bury this guy somewhere to bury him?

It took Jimmy less than two seconds to decide to do just that.

But when he stuffed the hapless man into the trunk of his car, he realized a problem.

He's been in Montana for so long, and the place he's really familiar with is just Yellowstone Ranch, so he can't bury people there, right?

You have to find a safe enough place.

Jimmy thought of Rip.

The ruthless guy who was brought up from time to time in the cowboys' gossip on the ranch and did the dirty work for the Dutton family.

Maybe you can make a phone call and ask for a little advice?
