Chapter 40: I'm here to find someone
More than ten minutes later, Professor Baker sent Jamie out the door with a spring breeze on his face.
This "unplanned" meeting was fruitful for both parties.
Not only did Jamie get early admission to Harvard University, but he also received a full scholarship.
Originally, the latter was not available, just because Jamie mentioned it more during the conversation.
Once he was accepted into a certain university, his father, John Dutton, donated ten million dollars to that school.
Professor Baker not only successfully completed his KPI for recruiting outstanding students, but also helped the school get a large amount of "sponsorship money".
The only one who suffered losses was Exeter High School.
Because the number of recruits in the hands of each Ivy League professor is fixed.
Professor Baker gave Jamie a spot, which meant that an Exeter High School student lost his chance to attend Harvard.
At the door of the office, Jamie shook hands with Professor Baker and said goodbye.
As soon as the two of them parted hands, a resentful gaze fell on Jamie.
Jamie didn't have to look back to know that it must have been the fat woman who had mistaken him for an Exeter High School student.
Behind her, there were also two school security guards with unkind faces.
This is also the reason why Professor Baker insisted on sending Jamie to the door.
If he doesn't, I'm afraid Jamie will be in some trouble when he leaves.
Jamie also planned to leave this place as soon as possible, but just as he turned around, a little blond fat man suddenly stretched out his hand to him.
"Hey, man, your Lamborghini SV is cool, I used to ask my dad to buy me one, but they said it was no longer in production."
Out of friendliness, Jamie shook hands with the other person.
At the same time, there was obvious doubt on his face.
"You are?"
"I'm Adam Smith and I'm a sports car enthusiast, and I know a good stretch of road with very little traffic, so maybe we can go racing together."
"Maybe."
Jamie replied somewhat perfunctorily.
He didn't want to go racing for anything, he was here to find someone.
Thinking so, the person he was looking for rushed out from the side.
Zuckerberg didn't even have time to close the laptop on his lap before he stood up and handed his hand to Jamie.
"Hello, I'm Mark Zuckerberg, and in fact I've been waiting for you."
Just now, Zuckerberg posted on the school website to expose Jamie's identity.
In just a few minutes, the number of hits has already surpassed the previous post exposing the Lamborghini.
This gives Zuckerberg a sense of accomplishment.
With just the New York license plate on the Lamborghini, he was able to guess exactly who Jamie was.
However, gaining attention on the school network is not the real reason for Zuckerberg's post.
He wanted to tell everyone at Exeter High School that Jamie had come here with all the fanfare to find him.
So he's the most glamorous and awesome one in the whole thing!
Facing Zuckerberg, who was eagerly waiting to shake his hand, Jamie's reaction was a little cold.
He simply shook Zuckerberg's hand and walked towards the stairs without looking back.
In terms of distraction, it is not even as good as the previous time when I shook hands with the little fat man Adam Smith.
Zuckerberg quickly closed the computer and stuffed it into his bag, chased after him in his slippers, and chatted with Jamie in his usual fast-paced manner.
"Actually, you don't have to worry about those two security guards, they just look scary, you can see by looking at their stomachs, they may not even have as much time to exercise as I do."
"The news of your coming to Exeter High School has been posted on the school website, and your car has attracted a lot of attention."
Jamie suddenly stopped and turned his head to look at Zuckerberg.
"Rebecca said that you once helped her find out the true identity of the gossip girl, so it shouldn't be difficult to hack into the Exeter High School website and help me find out the identity of the poster, right?"
Zuckerberg paused.
"Do you mean the person who posted about your car, or the person who exposed your identity, because those were posts from two different users."
The latter sentence exposes his weakness.
Jamie thought for a moment and replied:
"That's anyway, though I'd love to thank those two posters in person, because they did help me a lot this time."
Zuckerberg was dismissed on the spot.
He thought that Jamie was a "gossip diva" to show that he hated the people he posted.
Knowing this, he directly admitted that the post was made by him.
Seeing Jamie continue to walk forward, Zuckerberg hurriedly chased after him with his schoolbag.
While chasing and asking loudly:
"Why?"
Jamie continued to walk forward without looking back, and as he descended the stairs, he told Zuckerberg: "You should know that I didn't come to Exeter High School this time to rub off on your Ivy Week, I came to find someone." ”
Zuckerbert was dumbfounded.
Nonsense, of course I know you're here for me, but what does this have to do with posting on the school website exposing your post.
For this he decided to be modest.
"Actually, you don't have to make such a big fuss, I'm not the kind of guy who likes to be in the limelight very much, you just need to give me a call when you get there-"
Before he could finish speaking, Zuckerberg suddenly paused.
It wasn't Jamie who interrupted him, but a blonde girl coming up from the bottom of the stairs.
She resembles a live-action version of Barbie, with high eyebrows, deep eyes, bright blonde hair and sexy lips that are easily reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe, a female star of Hollywood's Golden Age.
The boys who were going up and down the stairs all consciously made way for this beautiful blonde girl, while their eyes were staring at her overdeveloped and perfect body.
It's a bit of a welcome feeling.
American high schools do not have a school flower.
The prettiest and most striking girl in the school is either the Queen at the school prom party like Serena or the captain of the school cheerleading team.
Jamie didn't know what kind of blonde girl was walking in front of him, but Zuckerberg immediately told him the answer.
"She's the captain of Exeter High School's cheerleading team, Grace McLean, the goddess of almost all boys, but she's hard to chase, and two quarterbacks on the Exeter football team have openly courted him, one of whom threatened to drink her footwash."
"Sounds disgusting, doesn't it? What's even more disgusting is that the guy has been confirmed to be recruited by Harvard, and it's hard to imagine that I would actually go to the same college as such a guy. ”
"Yes, I was accepted to Harvard, and it was a really surprising decision after Professor Baker learned that I had turned down offers to talent bootcamps from both Microsoft and AOL."
Zuckerberg was speaking quickly when a sentence popped out of Jamie's mouth.
"Shut up!"
