Chapter 16: Identity Exposed
Karl turned his head to look at Gwen, shook his head, and said, "We'll talk about that later." ”
The two walked out, George was sitting on the couch watching TV, and Carl suddenly said, "Sister, is there something wrong with you?" ”
"What's the matter?"
"Do me a favor, I don't know how to do a few questions about my homework today." Carl said, glancing at George, who just glanced at them and continued to watch the TV to himself.
"For the sake of you calling me sister, all right." Gwen's face was calm, but in fact, she followed Carl into the bedroom with trepidation.
Karl sat on a stool and secretly handed Gwen the hidden spider suit.
"I said what are you doing at night, it turns out that you are a cosplay enthusiast."
"Uh, well, yes, yes, that's it." Gwen nodded hurriedly, her blonde hair swaying back and forth, forming a wind that came to Carl with a scent.
Gwen was so grateful to Carl that he didn't even think of a reason for him to help him find such a good brother.
"Then you have to hide it, and don't let George see it." Carl whispered, "You know, he hates Spider-Man." ”
"Don't worry, I'll be careful." Gwen still nodded like a chicken pecking rice.
"Well, thank you so much, Gwen." Karl said loudly, "He deserves to be a top student in the school. ”
Gwen breathed a sigh of relief and slowly walked out of Carl's bedroom, only to hear Carl suddenly say, "Stay safe. ”
Her heartbeat slowed down at this moment, and she couldn't help but look at Carl, only to find that he didn't look back at all, as if it wasn't him who had just said that.
"Carl, I ......" Gwen was tempted to tell the secret, but gritted her teeth and said, "I see, thank you." ”
Karl sighed, but his heart was full of joy that he could finally upgrade Gwen with a wave of equipment.
The next day, the weather was clear, Carl was in good spirits, and Gwen was in a decadent spirit.
Gwen followed behind Carl with a pair of huge dark circles, very entangled, should I say it? What does Carl mean exactly, does he know that I am Spider-Man, and what will he think of me? What happens when you actually identify yourself?
Gwen was full of concern, knowing that when passing a red light, Carl stopped, and Gwen hit Carl headbutt.
"What are you thinking, Gwen?" Carl turned his head to look at her, didn't he sleep well last night?
"Hmm." Gwen answered, keeping her head down and not speaking.
"This isn't the Gwen Stacy I know." Carl shook his head with a smile and said, "Don't worry, in my heart Gwen is Gwen, and her image will not change because of a holster." ”
"That's not a holster." Gwen retorted slightly, but her heart suddenly settled down.
"Let's talk about it after school." Karl smiled, touched Gwen's head, and walked across the street.
Gwen was stunned for a moment, and hurriedly followed.
Gwen looked up, she was a few centimeters shorter than Carl, she looked up just enough to see the back of Carl's head, with a fair neck under short black hair and a wide enough back underneath.
Gwen was suddenly relieved, and this peace of mind was that she had been with George as a child, that she had wandered over New York in a spider suit, that she had prayed with the Parkers in my hands at home.
She suddenly felt as if something was different, since Peter's death, she felt as if there was only herself in the world, George didn't understand her, the friends around her were drifting away because they got together less and were more away, the Daily Bugle insisted on smearing Spider-Man every day, and some citizens didn't appreciate their help.
But an accident made her discover that Gwen could also be Spider-Man, Spider-Man, or Gwen.
"Carl, do you like Spider-Man?"
"I don't know." Karl's voice came: "If there was a girl named Gwen under that nice spider suit, then I would like her." ”
"Don't say that." Gwen blushed and said, "I'm your sister. ”
"Okay, sister." Karl said with a smile: "So you admit it?" ”
"Hmph, I didn't say anything!" Gwen trotted past Carl, then turned around and said, "Don't tell anyone else." ”
"Where's George?"
Gwen's face darkened, and she hesitated, "I'll talk to him when I have the chance." ”
"Well, then I'll work hard until then." Carl walked over to her, shoulder to shoulder, "Then let's prove that Spider-Man wasn't Peter's killer first." ”
"Carl, don't you think I'm?"
Karl looked her in the eye and said seriously, "I will always trust you, as you have always believed in me." ”
Gwen opened her mouth, she didn't know what to say, and a warm current appeared in her heart, mixed with a little guilt.
Yes, before today, she had never believed in Carl unconditionally.
"So, Spider-Man, tell me, tell me about Peter Parker."
Gwen nodded, and then said again, "Don't call me that outside." ”
"No problem." Carl suddenly asked, "Anyway, when you fly in the sky in a leather coat, will your fart bulge?" ”
"That's not a leather suit, that's a polymer fiber suit!" Gwen's feeling just now was gone, and she puffed out her face and said, "Get out!" ”
"Alright, tell me about Peter's life."
The story is exactly the same as Carl knew, Peter was bullied by Ned because of his introverted personality and weak body, and Gwen became famous in the city dressed as Spider-Man, and for various reasons, Peter had an idea.
I want to be like Spider-Man.
So the genius Peter made his own bio potion, but he couldn't control the power, and was finally subdued by Gwen and couldn't withstand the power of the lizard potion and died.
"So, Peter's cause of death was that potion?" Carl asked, "Do you have an experiment record of that potion or something?" ”
"No, I destroyed all of Peter's stats when he died." Gwen's expression was gloomy: "I'm afraid that his research results will be used." ”
"Good job, what's Peter's autopsy report?"
"Homicide." Gwen pursed her lips and said, "George decided that I killed him, so he directly took Peter's body without letting the forensic doctor confirm it." ”
"No wonder." Karl understood: "Don't worry, I'll help you." ”
"I don't need you to help me." Gwen's tone became serious: "Just keep it a secret for me, don't get involved in these things, it's dangerous." ”
"Listen to me, okay?"
Carl looked at the girl and shook his head stubbornly: "That's not going to work. ”
"If I'm not with you, you're too lonely."
