Chapter 5 Everyone has creative thinking and imagination

People who don't have creative thinking and imagination are not talented people and talented women.

First, let's overcome the usual bias against the concept of creative thinking.

Because of certain illogical reasoning, science, engineering, art, and literature are listed as truly creative disciplines.

But the truth is that most people do jobs related to creative thinking, such as the discovery of electricity and polio vaccines, the writing of novels and the development of color televisions, the conquest of the universe, and so on.

Of course, all of the above achievements are examples of creative thinking.

However, every advance made during the conquest of the universe was mostly the result of creative thinking.

But creative thinking isn't just for certain professions.

And it's not just for those with supernormal intelligence.

So, what exactly is creative thinking?

Low-income families decide to send their children to top universities because they think creatively because knowledge can change lives.

It's also creative thinking for residents along the street to transform the nasty parts of the street into scenic spots.

One minister plans to double the number of people attending his Sunday evening, also on the basis of creative thinking.

In short, finding ways to simplify archiving, selling goods to "probably" customers, constructively getting children to do things, convincing them that they are working for themselves, or avoiding certain arguments – all of these are examples of creative thinking that is practical on a daily basis.

To put it simply, creative thinking is all about discovering new and improved ways to do anything.

Success of all kinds (success in the family, success at work, success in the community, etc.) is rewarded only by finding a way to do something better.

Let's take a look at the ways we can develop and enhance our creative thinking skills:

1. Believe that something can be done.

This is also a fundamental point: to do anything, you must first believe that objective beings can do it.

Only by believing that something can be done will one make up your mind to find a way to do it well.

In my success training sessions, I often use examples like this to illustrate the idea of creative thinking.

I would ask, "How many of you believe that prisons will probably be abolished in the next 30 years?" ”

Those people seemed to be bewildered, not believing that what they heard was true, and thinking that it was a fantasy.

So, after a while, I asked, "How many of you believe that prisons may be abolished in the next 30 years?" ”

Once convinced that I wasn't joking.

Someone complained to me: "Do you mean to release all the murderers, thieves and robbers? Don't you realize what that means? Because then none of us will be safe, and people will have to put up prisons. ”

Then, the others were free to express their opinions:

"If we don't have a prison, all order will be broken."

"Some people are born criminals."

"If something happens, we need more prisons."

"Did you read the news in the morning today about a murder?"

Those people continued to tell me the good reasons why I had to have a prison.

One young man even suggested to me that it was necessary to have a prison so that the police and prison guards would not lose their jobs.

About ten minutes after letting the cadets "prove" why the prison could not be abolished, I said to them:

"Next, let me talk here about the general practice on the issue of abolishing prisons."

"Each of you has explained the reasons why you can't abolish prisons, so can you do me a favor? Think about it a little further, can we abolish prisons? ”

The people who participated in that experiment were very realistic:

"Oh, that's just for the thrill."

I then asked, "If we can do abolishing prisons, where do we start?" ”

At first there were not many suggestions, and then someone hesitantly said something like this:

"If more youth centers are built, it is possible to reduce crime."

Those who had been stubbornly opposed to this idea ten minutes ago were soon beginning their enthusiastic discussions.

"Strive to eradicate poverty because most crime comes from the low-income bracket."

"Make an effort to detect potential criminal behavior before they commit a crime."

"Hormone therapy and surgical therapy are carried out to treat all kinds of crimes, because some rapists are indeed related to hormone secretion, which has to be admitted".

"Educate law enforcement officers to use proactive and effective methods."

These are just a few of the 72 ideas I've listed that can help you reach your goal of abolishing prisons.

This experiment shows that only by believing can the brain come up with various ways to do things.

This experiment can also illustrate one point:

When you think something is impossible, the brain produces impossible cells and brain circuits to back up your opinion;

But when you believe and believe that something can be done, your brain works for you, and the brain produces possible cells and brain circuits that support your point of view and help you find various ways to do it.

Believing that something can be done in your brain paves the way for finding creative solutions to problems;

Thinking that something you can't do will destroy your creative thinking.

This applies to a wide range of situations, large and small.

Political leadership, which believes that it is not possible to establish a truly permanent world peace, will ultimately fail.

Because their brains are imprisoned by all kinds of creative ways of thinking that do not bring peace;

Economists who believe that economic cleansing is inevitable will not come up with creative ways to curb the vicious cycle of economic cleansing.

In the same way, if you think you can find it, you can find all kinds of ways to like someone.

If you think you can find it, you can find a way to buy a spacious new home.

Belief produces creativity, and doubt increases braking power.

With self-confidence, you will begin to think constructively.

If you let go of thinking boldly, your brain will form a way to do something.

Two years ago, a young man asked me to help him find a more promising job.

He was a clerk in the credit department of a courier company and thought he had no future in the future.

We talked about his past experiences and what he wants to do in the future.

After getting to know him in general, I said:

"I really admire that you want to move to a better job and take on more responsibility. However, in today's society, the most important requirement for the kind of job you have to do is a college degree. I know you've completed three semesters, and I can suggest that you'd better finish college and do it in two years after the summer. At that point, I believe you'll be able to find the job you want to do, have the company you want to work for."

"I knew that higher education would help me, however, going to college was impossible for me." He said.

"Impossible? Why? I asked.

He began, "Oh, just for one thing, I'm twenty-four. My wife is in the prime of childbirth, and I am looking forward to having my second child in two or three months. Since then, we've barely done what I'm supposed to do. Because I had to go to work to earn money, I didn't have time to study. Not only is it impossible to learn, everything is impossible. ”

The young man really thought it was impossible for him to finish college.

Later, I encouraged him to say:

"If you think it's impossible to finish college, then it's impossible; For the same reason, if you only think that going to college is possible, a solution will arise. ”

"Here's what I'm suggesting you do, if you've decided, go back to school; Let that thought dominate your thinking. Then think about it, and think about how to do it and how to raise a family from the perspective of reality. Come back in two weeks and let me know how you feel. ”

Two weeks later, my young friend returned.

"I've thought a lot about your advice and I've decided that I have to go to school," he said. Although many problems have not been solved, I have found a solution to the difficulties. ”

He does what he says.

He was unable to take out a loan to pay for tuition, books, and his physical expenses. He rearranged his work schedule so that he could be guaranteed classes. His passion and desire for a better life won the full support of his wife and both parents.

He and his wife worked together to creatively find ways to spend and spend more effectively.

One day last month, he completed his degree and will go to work for a large company as a professionally talented trainee next month. Without a degree, this big company wouldn't have taken him. He later had a bright future and an increasing income.

As can be seen from the above example, where there is determination, there is a way.

Believing that something can be done is fundamental to creative thinking.

Here are two tips for using confidence to help you develop your creativity.

1. Remove the word "impossible" from your thoughts and words.

"Impossible" is a discouraging word,

The thought that "something is impossible" can have a cascade of adverse reactions to other thoughts that you think "something is entirely possible," which engages the impossible cells in the brain.

2. Come up with something you want to do but don't think you can do, and then make a list of reasons why you can do it.

However, many of us sabotage our aspirations simply because we only think about why something can be done when it's worth thinking about.

Recently, I read a newspaper that said that most areas had too many counties, and the article pointed out that the boundaries of many counties were drawn decades before liberation and when single-horse-drawn carriages were used as the main means of transportation.

In today's world, with high-speed cars and quality highways, it doesn't make sense not to combine three or four counties. This will greatly reduce duplication of services, so that taxpayers can really get good service at a lower cost.

The author of the article also said that he thought he had come up with this valuable idea by chance, so he interviewed 30 people at random to hear their reactions.

As a result, no one thinks it's a worthwhile idea, even if they get a more enlightened local government at a lower cost.

This is an example of traditional thinking. The brains of traditional thinkers are paralyzed, and their logic is:

This approach has been around for a hundred years. So it has to be good, and it's going to last, so why risk change? To exist is to make sense.

"Ordinary people" are always hostile to progress, and many protest against cars running on the ground.

Not having a car naturally means walking or riding a horse for us.

The plane seemed to be impacting more people.

It has been argued that man has no right to encroach on the space occupied by birds.

Many "status quo maintainers" still insist on the right of humans not to use space.

A well-known missile expert answered this insight.

Von. Dr. Braun said, "Whatever is accessible to humans should belong to humans".

In the nineteenth century, a leader in charge of sales discovered the "scientific" principle of sales means. This principle attracted great attention and was even later codified in textbooks.

The principle is: there is always a best way to sell a product, find this way, and never deviate from it.

One owner said, "...... There are many ways to do a job well, in fact, there are just as many people as there are people doing it. ”

In other words, there are as many ways as there are people.

Let's be honest, there's no perfect way to do anything.

Such as missile design, decorating a house, beautifying a lawn, promoting products, raising children, making braised pork, etc.

You don't grow anything in the ice.

If we let tradition freeze our brains like ice, new thought cells will not be created.

I'm going to give you a test.

Make a suggestion to a person one of the following, and then observe their behavior.

1. The post and telecommunications system, which has long been monopolized by the government, should be turned into a private enterprise; (Now that the country has liberalized express logistics, do you still think this suggestion is ridiculous?) )

2. The change of leadership of the unit should be held every two or six years instead of four years; (Some public institutions are re-elected every three years.) )

3. The sales hours of the store should be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the survey should be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Some cafes start in the afternoon.) )

4. The retirement age should be changed to 70 years. (This suggestion has not yet materialized, but there has been talk of delayed retirement.) )

It doesn't matter if the ideas are perfect or practical, but what matters is how one approaches the proposals.

If he laughs at it (probably 95% of the people will) and doesn't think twice about it, he can suffer from traditional paralysis.

However, one in two people think that "this is a meaningful idea, these people, they have brains that can be transformed into creativity."

Traditional thinking is everyone's enemy, especially those who are interested in opposing creative plans for personal success. It freezes your brain, hinders your progress, and hinders the ability to create.

Here are three ways to overcome it.

1. Embrace all kinds of ideas and welcome new ideas, and eliminate thoughts that contradict them, such as "that doesn't work", "can't do it", "it's useless to try", and "that's stupid". Wait a minute.

I have a very successful friend who holds a key position in an insurance company.

One day, he said to me, "I'm not going to be the best guy in the industry, but I think I'm the best sponge in the insurance industry, and I'm taking special care to absorb all the good ideas I can." ”

Dare to be the first in the world.

Break the routine routine, go to a restaurant you haven't been to, buy a new book, go to a theater you haven't been to, meet new people, take a different path to work, have a different vacation this year, and don't do anything you haven't done this week that you haven't done or is different from what you've done before.

If you have a job to be assigned, and you are interested in other careers in film production, accounting, training, anchoring, finance and business, this will give you a lot of choice and be well prepared for the big responsibilities.

Be aggressive, don't be negative.

Don't think so:

"That's what I did in the past, so I should do it now."

Look ahead, "My mind, but with a positive mind, when you were young, you might get up at 5:30 in the morning to deliver the newspaper, milk the cow, deliver the courier, and that doesn't mean that your offspring have to do the same."

Think about what happened to a car company, and whether its management allowed such considerations:

"This year we have reached the peak of car manufacturing, and it is impossible to make further improvements. As a result, all pilot engineering and design activities will also end forever. ”

If this view were followed, even the huge Ford company would be doomed.

Successful people, like successful businesses, must always be filled with questions like:

"How can I improve the quality of my work?"

"How can I do better?"

In all the industries that humans are engaged in, from the development of the space shuttle to the raising of children, absolute perfection is impossible.

This means that there is endless room for improvement.

Successful people know this, and they're always searching for a better way.

It's worth mentioning that successful people don't ask, "Can I do it well?" "Because he knows he can do well.

However, he may ask questions like, "How can I do better?" ”

A few months ago, a friend of mine, who had only been in business for four years, opened her fourth mobile phone store, and it was a miracle.

I thought this was because the young lady had only a small initial investment capital of 300,000 yuan, and she had to compete fiercely with other peers, and her business experience was relatively short.

She held a celebration meeting to achieve such brilliant results.

Shortly thereafter, I visited her new store.

I asked her indirectly, "What is it about you who have to struggle to maintain the only one store that you have managed to run and open a fourth?" ”

She said:

"It's natural. I work hard, I just work in the morning and leave work late, and I am not directly responsible for the store, most of the people in my store work very hard. Much of my success is due to what I call my 'weekly business plan'. ”

I said, "'Weekly business plan'? Sounds refreshing, but how does it work? ”

She continued:

"Oh, it's not that complicated, it's like a weekly cycle. It's just a plan that helps us do the work.

In order to keep forward thinking and not deviate from my work, I have divided it into four parts: customers, employees, merchandising and merchandising. I took notes on everything that happened during the week and wrote down various ways to improve my business.

Every Monday night, I take four hours out to review the ideas I've jot down and decide how to use the best things in my business.

During those four hours, I forced myself to rack my brain to think about how I would run my business.

Instead of just getting more customers to my store, I was asking myself what I could do to attract more customers.

How can we make them regular and loyal customers?

She goes on to describe the many small innovations that made her original three stores so successful:

Things like the way goods are arranged in the store;

Her approach to buying recommendations resulted in two-thirds of customers buying something they didn't intend to buy when they entered the store;

Due to the economic downturn, many customers lost their jobs, and she came up with a preferential plan;

In the off-season, she launched a promotional competition.

I'm constantly asking myself, what can I do to improve the supply of goods? I have thought of many ways.

Here is just one example:

Four weeks ago, something like this happened, and I was going to do something to get more kids into our store.

According to my reasoning, if I have something here that attracts kids to our store, I can attract more parents.

I thought about it again and again, and finally came up with the idea of putting a row of cartoon toys and assembling toys for children aged 4~8 years old.

It really worked!

Toys don't take up much space, but I make a decent profit from them.

The most important factor is that toys have greatly increased the number of customers in the store.

She continued:

Trust me, my weekly innovation program is working.

It's by seriously asking yourself, 'How can I do a job better?' So I found the answer.

Every Monday night I come up with certain plans and tricks to make the financial statements of profit and loss look clear at a glance.

"I also learned other things about successful sales, which I think everyone in business should know."

I asked, "What is it?" ”

"It's simple. It's that when you start doing something, you don't know much, what matters is how you learn after you get involved in something. ”

Great success always belongs to those who constantly raise the bar for themselves and others,

People who are looking for a variety of ways to increase efficiency,

People who trade lower input for higher output, and do more with less.

The greatest success goes to the kind of person who says "I can do better".

The slogan used by the appliance company is: continuous improvement is our most important product.

Why not list objective existence as the most important product?

The philosophy of "I can do better" works magically.

When you ask yourself, 'How can I do it better?' it changes your creativity, and all sorts of ways to do something better will come with it, and that's the brain's creative cells coming together.

Here's a daily exercise to help you discover and develop your creativity.

Before you start your day, focus on 10 minutes and think, 'How do I do my job today?' ’

Ask: "What are some ways to encourage my employees?" ”

What special benefits can I bring to my customers?

How can I increase my personal productivity?

This exercise may seem simple, but it works on the ground, and by giving it a try, you'll find the most creative approach you need to be more successful.

Almost every time my wife and I get together with other couples, the conversation turns to "working housewives".

Mrs. Tang worked for many years before marriage, and she genuinely enjoyed her job.

"But now, I have two school-going children who have to cook and take care of the housework, and I simply don't have time to spare," she says. ”

Later, on a Sunday night, Mr. and Mrs. Tang and their child were in a car accident.

Mrs. Tang and the child were spared serious injuries, while Mr. Tang was left with a lifelong disability on his back.

Now, Mrs. Tang has no choice but to go to work again.

When we met her a few months after the accident, we were surprised to find that she had adapted well to the current situation.

She said:

You know, six months ago I never dreamed that I would be able to take care of this home and work full-time at the same time.

But after the accident, I realized I had to look

Then I discovered what children can do and can help: I found many ways to save time – less shop, less TV, less phone calls.

Even less contact with those who spend time.

From Mrs. Tang's experience, we get this inspiration:

A person's abilities are a state of his brain. How much we can do depends on how much we think about what we can do.

When you truly believe that you can do more, the brain engages in creative thinking, and the thinking cells come alive and give you the means to do things.

A young banker has this to say about his personal experience about "ability to work":

When I was a young bank rookie, one of our bank clerks used to say goodbye. This is very difficult for us.

Because the departing staff has an important job to do, they cannot be delayed or left alone.

After he left that day, the deputy chief in charge of our section called me into his office.

He told me that he had spoken to the other two people in our section individually to see if they could share the work of the person who had just left until a replacement was found.

But they both refused.

Neither of them directly refused, but both said that they were deeply trapped in their intense work.

The deputy section chief said that in addition to doing your own work, you should also take over the work of this person who often leaves the post, and deal with this heavy burden!

Throughout my working life, I have come to realize that it is not worth giving up an opportunity like this.

Therefore, I agree and promise to do all the remaining work to the best of my ability, and to ensure that I do my job well, to the great satisfaction of the Deputy Chief.

So I'm going to do this extra work. But I learned a lot from his work, which played a decisive role in my future presidentship.

I walked out of the office of the Deputy Chief of Section and realized that I had taken on a major job. Actually, I'm just as busy as the two people in our section who have escaped this extra work, because I'm trying to find a way to handle both jobs.

That afternoon, I finished my work, closed the office door, and sat down to think about how I could be more productive. I grabbed a pencil and started jotting down every idea I could think of.

You know, I came up with some great ideas:

if an arrangement is made with the secretary;

Concentrate on answering all my calls at a certain time of the day;

Concentrate outgoing calls at a certain time;

reduce the duration of regular meetings from 15 minutes to 10 minutes;

Make comprehensive arrangements at a certain point in the day.

I found that my secretary was able (and eager to) take over many of the little things that were taking up my time.

I've been doing my current job for more than two years.

Frankly, I'm surprised to find that I've let so much of my precious time go to waste.

Within a week, I had dictated twice as many letters, handled more than 50 percent of the phone calls, attended more than half of the meetings – and didn't feel nervous at first.

A few weeks passed, and I was called in by the deputy section chief, who praised me for my excellent work. He went on to say that he had looked at many people inside and outside the bank, but had not yet found the right person.

Later, he said that he and the board of directors of the bank had studied and approved that he would be authorized to combine the two tasks, and that I would be responsible for the combined work, and that I would be given a substantial increase in salary.

Exactly how much I can do depends on how much I think I can do.

A person's abilities are indeed a state of the brain.

In the fast-moving business world, it seems like something like this happens every day:

The boss calls in an employee and explains to him that there is a special task that must be completed.

Then he will say, "I know you have a lot of work to do, but can you still do it?" ”

Most employees will reply, "I'm sorry, I'm working hard enough right now, and I wish I could take the job, but I'm too busy." ”

In this case, the boss will not be difficult for the employee, because it is an "extra task," so to speak. ”

However, if the boss thinks that the task must be completed, he will continue to search until he can find an employee who is as busy as everyone else but thinks he can do more work, and such an employee is the one who is moving steadily.

In business, in the family, in society, a successful combination is to do what you do better (which will improve the quality of your ability output) and do more of what you can (which will increase the amount of your ability output).

Do you believe that doing more and doing well will pay off?

So, try the following two methods:

1. Desire for opportunities to do more.

It's a good thing that someone asks you to take on a new assignment.

Taking greater responsibility for your work will make you visible and show that you are a figure of great importance.

When your neighbors ask you to do something trivial for them, accept it and it will help you become a leader of the masses.

2. Next, focus your attention on "how can I do more?"

Then there will be creative answers.

These answers may be that you do a good job plan and work arrangement,

or some wise shortcuts in your daily activities,

Or maybe get rid of the unnecessary altogether.

But let me repeat it again, you will find ways that you can do more and your brain cells will help you.

Following my personal strategy, I fully agree with the following view.

If you're looking for someone to do something, leave it to a busy person.

Don't make important plans with people who have a lot of free time.

Because from collaborators who have a lot of time but don't do their work, you can only get a painfully high price.

All the accomplished and capable people I know are busy.

When I start working with them, when I make a plan, I know the results are going to be satisfying.

I've learned from many examples that I can trust a busy person.

But I was disappointed to work with people who had the time.

Advanced business management departments should constantly ask themselves this:

"What can we do to increase output?"

So why not ask "What can I do to increase my personal output?" ”

Only then will your brain cells creatively tell you what to do.

Of the hundreds of people I met from all levels, I came to this conclusion:

The bigger the person, the easier it is to encourage others to talk about it;

The smaller the person, the easier it is to talk about it to others.

The big guys are good at listening.

The little people are good at talking.

It should also be noted that:

Senior leaders from all walks of life tend to spend most of their time asking for opinions from others and relatively little time voicing their own.

Before a senior leader makes a decision, he asks, "How do you feel about it?" ”

"What do you suggest?"

"What are you going to do in this situation?"

"What do you think of this suggestion?"

To look at it this way: the so-called leader is a decision-making robot, then, in order to make a product, there must be raw materials.

To make a creative decision, the ideas and suggestions of its founders are the raw materials.

Of course, don't expect someone to give you a ready-made solution, that's not the main reason to ask and listen.

Other people's minds help to make their own minds spark.

As a result, your brain is more creative.

Recently, I attended a seminar on administration as a key officer.

The class attended 12 times, and each time the focus was raised, one of them was given a 15-minute discussion.

One leader asked, "How do I solve my most pressing management problems?" ”

At the ninth seminar, it was the turn of the deputy general manager of a large dairy company, who presented a different point of view, and without describing how he solved his problem, he read out his thesis as follows:

Yes, to help solve my most pressing management problems.

He quickly outlined his conundrum and then asked people to offer solutions.

In order to be able to record every thought that people suggested verbatim, he asked the stenographer to write down everything that was said.

After I spoke to this man, I was very appreciative of his unique approach.

"Some of these people are very shrewd, and I'm just thinking about what I'm going to get some good ideas," he said. During this workshop, people were saying things with great possibilities that might give me clues to the puzzles I needed to solve. ”

It is worth noting that the leader just laid out his difficult problems and then listened to the opinions of others.

In doing so, he was given the ingredients he needed to make a decision, and as a secondary benefit, the other leaders in the audience were engaged in the discussion to their heart's content, because it gave them the opportunity to participate.

Many successful businesses invest heavily in consumer research.

They ask people about the taste, quality, size and design of a certain product, and listen to valuable suggestions for better selling products.

At the same time, it is also recommended that manufacturers should tell consumers about the performance of their products when they advertise.

In short, the process of developing a successful product is to get as many opinions as possible from consumers.

Listen to what the buyers of this product want, then redesign those products and continuously improve them to meet the needs of consumers.

Recently I saw a store with the slogan:

"If you want a customer to buy what he needs, you have to look at it with his eyes"

So the best way to understand the customer's vision is to listen to what they have to say.

Your ears are like valves in the pipes, they supply your brain with the raw materials that can be turned into creativity.

It will only be said that you can't learn anything.

But ask more and listen to what people have to say, and there's no limit to what we can learn.

Try this three-step solution to boost your creativity by asking and listening:

1. Encourage others to speak.

In individual interactions or in group settings, use the following topics to encourage those who have little interest in the matter to do so.

For example, "Tell us about your experience," or "What do you think we should do about this?" ”

"What do you think is the key to it?"

Encourage others to speak, and you'll get double the reward:

On the one hand, your brain absorbs the raw materials used to generate creative thinking, and at the same time you make friends.

Let others say they like you, and encourage them to talk to you more confidently.

2. Test your own insights on various issues.

Ask others to help process and refine your ideas.

Use the "What do you think of this suggestion?" But don't be dogmatic, and don't look at an immature idea as if it were an epitaph that has been handed down.

Start by doing some informal research and see how your colleagues around you react.

If you do this, you may get a better idea.

3. Focus on what others are saying.

Listening means that you are more silent, and listening means letting what others say permeate your brain.

Usually there are a lot of people who pretend to be listening, when in fact they are not listening at all, they just want to wait for someone else to stop so that they can continue the conversation.

Pay attention to what others are saying and then evaluate it, and that's how you gather nutrients for your brain, which is exactly what successful cells need.

More and more executive training universities are offering advanced management training programs for managers of established companies.

According to the principal, the biggest benefit of the program is not that managers have ready-made formulas that can be used to manage their companies more effectively, but that they have the opportunity to exchange and discuss new ideas.

The large training program requires managers to live together in college dormitories, which increases their courage to complete the entire course plan.

In short, the biggest benefit for managers is the stimulation and inspiration they receive.

A year ago, I attended a one-week sales management training course sponsored by a sales management agency.

A few weeks later, I met a friend who was a salesman, who happened to work for the company of a manager who had attended that training course.

My young friend said:

"The people in your class must have given my manager in charge of sales a lot of things to do to make him better at managing the company."

Out of curiosity, I specifically asked him what changes he had noticed, and he went on and on.

If the compensation plan is amended,

The sales meeting has changed from once a month to twice.

New business cards and letterheads,

Changes have been made to the sales history.

Each of these is not specifically recommended in our training program.

The sales manager didn't get a rigid set of theories and techniques, but he got something more valuable:

Considering the various methods of revelation directly contributes to his own specific arrangement.

A young accountant in a latex paint factory told me about a very successful venture inspired by someone else's mind. He told me:

I've never had much interest in real estate. I've been a professional accountant for many years now, and I've been doing my job ever since. One day, a friend of mine who runs a real estate business invited me to a luncheon hosted by a real estate organization in the city.

The speaker that day was an elder who had watched the city grow with his own eyes. The title of his speech was 'The Next Twenty Years'.

He predicts that there will be an unprecedented demand for bungalows in the future. Because the bungalow is not a high-rise building, it is transparent from north to south, and the design is reasonable, if it is built into a garden-style and adds entertainment and fitness facilities, it will be more sellable.

This man's speech really inspired me. In the next few days, I asked a few of my friends if they would need bungalows one day, and they said that large bungalows are villas that spread out, and everyone I asked said "I really like it".

I've been thinking about it and wondering how I can benefit from this idea.

Then one day, when I was driving to work, I suddenly found the answer.

Why don't I buy a piece of farmland and build it into a bungalow?

"Twenty miles from the center of the commercial district, I found a piece of land. The land was barren and cheap, and I bought it for only a third of the price of the other plots. And use my factory as collateral to keep the balance of payments.

Next, I planted trees where there were no trees, and the reason I did this was because someone who was very familiar with the real estate business told me that people need trees at the moment, and that there are many trees for greening.

I want future buyers to see that in the years to come, their bungalows will be covered with beautiful trees.

"And then, I made a fortune." He smiled and said:

"The reason why I have achieved such good benefits is that I have listened carefully to the ideas that intelligent people have given me. If I hadn't accepted invitations to luncheons that were entirely outsiders to my interests, my brain would never have come up with such a successful profit plan. ”

There are many ways to stimulate the brain, but here are two suggestions that should be closely integrated into your lifestyle:

First, join or regularly visit at least one professional organization that can provide stimulation in your field of work.

Hang out regularly with people who have achieved great things.

I've often heard people say:

"I heard a good suggestion at that meeting this afternoon".

or "I started thinking about ...... during yesterday's meeting"

Keep in mind that if you only use your own thoughts as substances to nourish your brain, it will not be long before your brain cells become malnourished or even weakened, and you will not be able to produce motivated creative thinking.

And stimuli from others are excellent nutritious food for your brain.

Second, joining or participating in at least one organization outside of your career field, and socializing with people with different work interests can broaden your mind and help you see a broader perspective, and you'll be surprised to find that:

How constantly interacting with people outside of your profession will stimulate your thinking at work.

All kinds of good ideas are the result of your deliberation.

However, these ideas will only be valuable if you work hard and put them into practice.

The pine seeds produced by a single pine tree each year can only be planted into a medium-sized forest.

However, out of so many seeds, only one or two may grow into small trees.

Because squirrels destroy most of the seeds.

The hard ground under the trees does not give more chance for the remaining seeds that are not selected to germinate.

Many of the ideas of the people are the same as the pine seeds, and few of them bear fruit.

Because these ideas are so easy to lose.

Without protection, a squirrel (referring to a person who doesn't think about it) will destroy most of it.

Once an idea is generated, it needs to be processed until an objective existence is turned into a practical method that can do something better.

We hope you can develop your thinking in the following three ways:

1. Don't easily ignore ideas.

Write them down, and every day there will be a lot of good ideas, but they will be quickly forgotten.

It's because I couldn't put these ideas on paper.

It is unreliable to preserve and enrich new ideas from memory.

Carry a notebook or small card with you and jot it down when you have a great idea.

A friend who travels a lot and never leaves the clipboard so that a good idea can be jotted down as soon as it comes to him.

People with rich imagination and creative brains know that good ideas come out anytime, anywhere, and don't let good ideas run away or you will ruin the results of your thinking.

It is necessary to save good ideas, and a good brain is not as good as a bad pen.

2. The next step is to review the ideas you have jotted down.

Use a special file to classify these ideas.

A folder can be a small, elaborate bookcase or a drawer on a desk. It's also okay to use a shoebox.

However, once you've set up your folder, check the ideas you've saved for a regular period of time.

When you examine them, some of the ideas may be worthless at all due to very careful reasoning.

Remove such thoughts. But as long as that idea has a little bit of value in retaining, keep it.

3. Enrich your mind and broaden your mind.

Relate this idea to the various ideas involved.

Read something you can find that is similar to your idea in every way.

Full investigation.

In this way, when the time is ripe, it will work for you, for your work, and for your future.

When an architect comes up with a new architectural design, he makes a preliminary sketch, and when a creative advertising agent comes up with a new TV commercial, he creates a series of images in the form of a noteboard, which means that his idea looks even more perfect.

Writers who have a lot of material also have to make a draft first.

Note: Write down that thought on paper.

There are two excellent reasons for this.

Once it's written down in a specific form, you can go through it literally, see its flaws, see how you can make it better.

The ideas can then be "sold" to other people (e.g., customers, employees, bosses, friends, club buddies, investors, etc.).

Someone has to "buy" it, otherwise it's worthless.

One summer, I was contacted by two life insurance salesmen.

They all wanted to make me an insurance plan and promised to come up with a plan that had been modified as necessary.

The first salesman gave me a thorough verbal presentation and told me the information I needed.

But soon I refused. He presented taxes, payment methods, social security and all the technical details of the plan. Frankly, it left me scratching my head and I just said "bye-bye" to him.

The second salesman took a different approach. He made his referral plan into a chart, and all the details were clearly listed, so I could easily understand his plan.

Because I could see it word for word, I bought his insurance.

The solution to the above problem is to make your proposal available for sale in a tabular form.

A suggestion, or in written form, or in the form of a picture, or in the form of a graphic, is many times better than just in oral form.

To summarize the above, there are the following ways to think creatively:

1. Believing that something can be done.

When you believe that something can be done, your brain cells will come up with various ways to do it. Believing in a solution to a problem is tantamount to finding a path to success.

From your thoughts and words, eliminate words like "impossible", "useless", "undoable", and "useless to try".

2. Don't let traditional ways of thinking paralyze your brain.

Be open to new ideas, experiment, try new methods, and keep improving in everything you do.

3. Ask yourself every day, "How can I do better?" "Don't settle for self-improvement.

When you ask yourself, "How can I do better?" "Naturally, find good answers and give them a try.

4. Ask yourself, "How can I do more?" "Competence is just a state of the brain.

Asking yourself such questions will make your brain cells struggle to find those wise shortcuts.

The two main elements of business success are: doing what you can do better (which will improve the quality of your output) and doing what you can do more (which will increase the quantity of your output).

5. Ask more and listen more in practice.

By doing this, you'll be able to find the ingredients that will enable you to make the right decision.

Remember: the big guys are always listening, and the little guys are always talking.

6. Keep the tension in your brain and give it a boost.

Stay in touch with people who can help you think about new ideas and ways to do something, and interact with people of different professions and social statuses.
