4 Chapter IV
"Good morning, Mr. Ludwich."
Jason changed into his overalls and was ready to start the day.
"You don't look good," said Mr. Ludwich, observantly. "Did something happen?"
"Oh, it's nothing, I just didn't get a good night's rest last night."
Jason shook his head.
He had been having strange dreams last night, in which he seemed to have turned into a little bird, flying in a place of black pressure.
Then suddenly, someone knocked him down.
If 09 hadn't taken some sort of emergency to calm him, he would have been stuck in a nightmare all night.
Jason intuitively thought it was something to do with his memory, meditated all night, and then lost sleep.
Alas, don't want to. Jason rubbed his face, trying to look more energetic.
Anyway, when I get to Gotham and find my father, all problems will be solved.
"Ah, yes." Mr. Ludwich said. "It's a day off, and Peter will come over to help."
Jason nodded.
He had just finished preparing the storefront and turned the sign on the door when Peter arrived.
"Good morning! Mr. Ludwich! Good morning! Jason! ”
Peter's spiritual power is always infectious.
Mr. Ludwich smiled helplessly, and unconsciously raised his voice to match Peter. "Good morning! Peter! ”
"Good morning! Peter! Jason greeted him as well.
"Jason," Peter patted Jason on the shoulder, looking at him with an indescribable gaze.
"What's wrong?" Jason raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"Nothing."
Peter smiled mysteriously, with a hint of teasing in his smile, which made Jason scratch his head.
"What the hell is going on? Peter? ”
"It's okay, I just wanted to keep talking to you about Spider-Man, I know you like Spider-Man too, Jason, so..."
"Ah, speaking of which." Jason interrupted Peter just in time, and the provincial kid babbled on for another hour. "It's a gift for you."
He took a small envelope from his pocket and handed it to Peter.
"What is this?" Peter touched it curiously, and it was hard inside. It's hard, like some kind of cardboard.
"Just open it and see."
"It can't be your letter to Spider-Man, right? Haha..."And when the envelope was opened, Peter's laughter choked in his throat. "It's... Spider-Man's signature? ”
"That's right, a little surprise." Jason smiled. "Tell you, I was lucky enough to meet Spider-Man yesterday, I know you adore him very much, so I specially asked him for this autograph, but I didn't bring a piece of paper at the time, so I had to ask him to sign the pizza box, which is really a bit rude, but fortunately, Spider-Man is a kind person and didn't care about this kind detail."
Jason finished, but didn't get the response Peter deserved.
On the contrary, Peter's expression is complicated and difficult for Jason to describe.
Happy, moved, and a little embarrassed?
"Uh... Peter? Don't you like this gift? Jason asked.
No, Peter must already have Spider-Man's signature. That's right, this guy likes Spider-Man so much, how could he not have the signature of his idol.
If you have a chance in the future, you should still ask for another autograph photo of Spider-Man.
Peter sniffed, and his circles grew red.
"Oh, are you okay?" Jason was in a hurry.
Oh my God, what did he do when he made his little friend cry!
Suddenly, Peter hugged Jason tightly. "Thank you, Jason, this is the best gift I've ever received."
Jason relaxed, rubbing the shaggy head on his chest. "You're welcome, man."
Mr. Ludwich couldn't help but smile softly. "Ahem, gentlemen, I admit that this meeting was very moving, but it is not okay not to work hard, please don't keep our guests waiting."
"Oh!" Peter's face flushed and he let go of Jason. "Sorry! Mr. Ludwich! I'll get to work right away! ”
Jason shook his head with a smile, and attributed Peter's strange reaction to overexcitement.
After a busy and fulfilling day, Jason stretched and moved his muscles.
There won't be a lot of guests at this time, and he doesn't need to take extra time to help, and there are still a few hours left before the evening pizza delivery. He could have treated himself to this time.
"Peter, do you have any plans for tonight?" Jason looked at Peter.
I saw that the boy was staring at his computer with a serious face, while keeping a conversation with someone.
Jason frowned slightly. "Peter?"
"What?" Peter reflexively closed the computer. "What's wrong? Jason? ”
"Nothing." Jason shook his head. "Just wanted to ask if you have any plans to wait, it's still early before my pizza delivery service, and I want to go out for a drink. Oh, of course I drink, you drink juice. ”
Peter looked embarrassed. "I'm really sorry, Jason, but I'll have something to do later, something very important. Wait for next time! Next time I'll invite you! ”
"Hey, man, it's no big deal to turn me down." Jason smiled. "Are you in trouble? Is there something I need help with? ”
"Oh... Nothing, just a group assignment," Peter scratched his neck. "Uh... But it's about credits, so I made an appointment with my friend to go to his house to discuss. ”
"I see." Jason nodded. "In that case, let's go out together next time."
"I'm really sorry," Peter's brow furrowed. "Otherwise, I'll bring you a super taco tomorrow! It's my reparation! ”
"Then you're welcome."
Peter breathed a sigh of relief. "Then I'll go first, Jason."
With that, he packed his backpack and left.
As the sun recedes, New York's light show takes off.
This bustling city unceremoniously flexes off its gorgeous skirts at night.
"Jason, someone ordered a pizza."
"Got it, Mr. Ludwich, at 384 Zhongfu Road, the guest ordered two sausage pizzas and three signature pizzas."
"Do you remember the route?"
"Of course."
"I know that your memory won't let me down, go early and return to Jason early." Mr. Ludwich beckoned to him.
Stepping on the skateboard that Ludwich had given him, Jason set off.
New York is a big city, and there are thousands of roads and streets, so the routes are also complicated.
However, Jason had just looked at the map and wrote down all the locations and routes, and the score was exactly right, which surprised Ludwich and wanted to give it to the Guinness Book of World Records.
It was Jason who stopped him.
After some time, Jason arrived at his destination.
There is a certain difference between the actual location and what you see on the map.
At least you can't see such an old house on the map.
"Number 384." Jason searched one by one, and finally found the guest's house.
He politely knocked on the door three times. "Hello, this is Ludwich's Pizzeria, the pizza you ordered has arrived."
No one responded for a long time, and the door was very quiet, not like someone was inside.
Jason checked the order information and made sure it was right, so he had to knock on the door three more times.
"Hello! This is Ludwich's Pizzeria! The pizza delivery you ordered has arrived! ”
This time, there was a rustling sound inside the door, followed by a cacophony.
“Fuck! Who ordered the pizza! ”
"It's me, boss, I'm sorry, I'm so hungry..."
"You idiot! Do you want to expose us! ”
Then there was a sound of kicking and beating.
Forehead...... That doesn't sound like a good thing.
Jason looked left and right, there were few street lights here, and the location was remote, even if he called the police, he couldn't come in time.
Over here... It really looks like a crime scene in a movie.
Jason's hairs stood on end.
But he can't run away, he's a qualified employee! He can't leave until the food is delivered to the guests!
Importantly, this pizza is collected! If you don't receive the money, he will be the one who will pay for it!
“09,09?”
Jason tried to call the hamster for help, but the little hamster didn't know what was going on for the past two days, and appeared less and less often, and barely lingered in front of his eyes.
It seems that you can only rely on yourself. Jason sighed inwardly.
After a while, the door opened a crack.
Half of a fleshy face stretched out, and the brown eyes on it looked around.
Jason swallowed nervously.
After a while, as if to make sure that there was no threat outside, the door was only half opened.
Jason also saw the situation inside.
Inside the door sat a dozen fierce men, one of whom was tilting his head and plugging his nose with a paper ball, probably the one who ordered pizza.
They were all equipped with guns, and they didn't look easy to mess with.
And around them, covered with black plastic sheeting, there are quite a few of them.
One of the plastic sheets was uncovered, revealing a corner from which some kind of black tube protruded.
That's a gun! Jason recognized.
These guys are arms smugglers! The alarm bell rang in his heart!
God, he just went out to deliver a takeaway, why did he meet such a person!
"Give me something, and you can go." The meaty man whispered.
He notices that something is wrong with Jason and senses what he might have guessed.
"Hey, listen, kid." He stepped forward and blocked Jason's view. "Don't look at what you shouldn't see, don't ask what you shouldn't ask, and don't know how to die!"
Jason nodded hurriedly.
"Well, may I ask which of you to pay for it?" Jason said stiffly. "That's $95.6 in total."
"What?"
"Uh... Pizza is paid in collect. Jason wiped the sweat from his forehead.
"Beard?"
The man known as Beard was the pizza orderer, and he cowered his neck in fear. "Boss, I... I don't have that much money on my hands. ”
The boss was angry, and the horizontal flesh on his face trembled. "You're such a piece of shit!"
As he spoke, he rushed over and kicked him in the face.
Beard, who had managed to stop his nosebleed, began to bleed again.
"Whew! I'm so sorry! Top dog! I lost all my money yesterday! Oh! Stop it! Top dog! ”
Maybe he shouldn't be here. Jason looked away, hoping that these guys would not pull out their guns later, so that he could leave safely after receiving the money.
Suddenly, he instinctively raised his head.
The sixth sense tells him what is on the ceiling.
Oh hoo.
Jason's eyes widened instantly, and the pizza in his hand almost threw out.
No, there's such a big spider hanging from the ceiling, haven't these guys noticed it!
