13 Chapter XIII
"Humanoid heavy mecha, mecha material unknown, deformable, known transformation types include large destruction weapon cannon and protective shield, mecha driver is also unknown, so our mastery of this new superhero is almost zero." Nick Fury muttered. "Guys, what do you think?"
He spoke to the Avengers, but his eyes were fixed on Tony Stark, who was wearing sunglasses and in a daze.
"Ahem, Mr. Stark?" Spider-Man, who was invited to the Avengers meeting, nudged him stiffly.
"Huh? Well? What? Is the meeting over? Tony rubbed his eyes and shrugged absently. Sorry, I wasn't listening to the first word you said. β
Nick Fury held down the throbbing tendons in the corners of his forehead. "Tony Stark!"
"What? That's none of my business! Tony screamed like a child. My aesthetic isn't that ugly! Golden red is the best! β
"It's not a joke! Tony! Nick Fury spoke in a serious tone. You are at the scene, and you can intuitively see how lethal his weapon is, just killing all the enemies in an instant, which is worthy of a missile. And we don't know if this mech is equipped with stronger weapons, if it can turn into a stronger form, and most importantly, we don't know if he..."
"Will it hurt our country? Or can it be used by the government? bala bala..."Tony picked up and rolled his eyes. "As far as I can see, this [knight] obviously has no intention of harming our country, otherwise he would not have come to my aid."
"It's not something you can guess, Tony," Nick Fury said helplessly. "We have to consider how dangerous he is..."
"Stop!" Tony held up a hand. "Don't come to these high-sounding words, I'll tell you what you want to know the most."
"First of all, it can't be Earth Technology." Tony got up and sat down on his side at the conference table. "See how his mech transforms? The kind of flowing metal material that can be made into mechs simply does not exist on Earth. Looking at the power of his cannon, it stands to reason that the heat of such an attack is enough to melt any metal, except vibranium, and the recoil of the attack is not something that an ordinary person's arm can withstand. For example..."
"So, this guy is definitely not an Earth creature, at least not his mecha." Tony concluded. "Therefore, you don't want to use earth thinking to restrain the other party, let alone use him. It seems to me that he is currently friendly to the planet, and that's enough, too much intervention ... Hehe. β
Nick Fury took a deep breath. "Oh, that's wonderful, it's not enough for the metropolis to have a flying alien superman, is there another alien mecha now?"
"Oh, be careful," Tony squeezed his eyes. "Even if you're not afraid of Superman hearing it, Thor will be sad to hear it."
Nick Fury rolled his eyes. "Spider-Man, you're the one who has the most contact with the Knight at the moment, what do you think?"
"Oh, Mr. Fury, I don't know much." Spider-Man swallowed and replied nervously.
No way, this is the Avengers' meeting! Although there were not many Avengers present, but... It's an Avengers' meeting!
"He arrived in time to save me when I was in danger, and before he attacked, he also spread his shield to protect me, how to say... emm, I think he's a very gentle guy. Spider-Man said. I agree with Mr. Stark, and I mean, of course, the friendly part of him. β
"Do you make such a decision based on these two points alone?" Nick Fury frowned slightly. "Spider-Man, I know you're not a superhero yet, but for the unknown, I still advise you to be vigilant."
"Oh, okay." Spider-Man nodded obediently.
"Hey, Spider-Man didn't join the Avengers, what qualifications do you have to train him!" Tony stands in the way of Spider-Man. "Don't do what you shouldn't do, Fury 'Mommy'."
Steve and Natasha looked at each other.
Tony: What's wrong with this? Protecting newcomers like this? Something is wrong, there is a situation.
Nick Fury and Tony quarreled again, and everyone present was surprised, except for Spider-Man.
The poor guy was in a ball, trying to persuade and daring.
Spider-Man: Stop arguing, don't fight for me anymore!
"Don't worry, it's none of your business." Steve patted Spider-Man on the shoulder soothingly. "They're going to get into a fight almost every meeting, and you're just using the topic to play."
"Ah, that's right." Spider-Man nodded.
A meeting ended in an argument between the two, which ultimately did not finalize what exactly to do with the knight, but simply filed it away.
Nick Fury walked away with a black face... Although his face has always been black.
"Mr. Stark, it's an honor to be here with you!" Spider-Man is excited like a kid getting candy. "Can I help you?"
Tony wiped his face wearily and said to Spider-Man. "Listen, baby spider, we appreciate your help this time, but you are not allowed to interfere in the Avengers' mission in the future! You can continue to catch thieves and robbers in Queens, New York, or help grandma cross the street! β
"What? Why? Spider-Man immediately wilted.
"You should know it yourself, Spider-Man... Or call you Peter Parker? A fourteen-year-old middle school student! β
Spider-Man... Or maybe Peter was so frightened that he jumped to the sky, literally, he stuck to the ceiling and refused to come down.
"How do you know? Mr. Stark! His eyes widened amusefully.
"Come down," Tony said, looking up. "Aren't you a spider? How is it the same as a cat? β
Spider-Man jumped off and stood in front of Tony with his head down.
"It's not difficult for you to check, you have been photographed by the surveillance several times when you change clothes, you should be glad that I found it out one step ahead of others, and I deleted the record for you, be careful in the future." Tony has a rare black face. "You're too young to do this."
It took Peter half a day to hold back a sentence. "I'm fifteen."
"Fourteen or fifteen, you shouldn't have been involved in such a dangerous operation as yesterday." Tony said solemnly. "You're going to lose your life!"
"Iβ" Peter tried to argue, but was interrupted by Tony.
"Needless to say, you don't want me to tell your aunt, do you?"
"I... I know. Peter's shoulders slumped.
"Go back, get some rest, and get back to your campus." Tony spoke softly.
"Yes, Mr. Stark." Peter walked back dejectedly.
"Wait, there's one more thing."
"What's the matter? Mr. Stark! β
Looking at Spider-Man running back happily like a puppy, Tony's words paused. "Go to the front desk and get two mobile phones, one for yourself and one for your part-time pizzeria... An employee at Ludwich's Pizzeria, the tall, strong one. β
Peter thought about it and was sure it was Jason.
Jason also said that he happened to meet Stark.
"I see, Mr. Stark." Peter said. "Can I still visit Stark Tower in the future?"
After brewing for a long time, the word "no" on Tony's lips still couldn't be spoken.
"Come if you want, I'll have someone take Peter Parker's information into the ban."
βYesοΌβ
Tony smiled and shook his head. "It's such a child, and it's so easy to coax."
He took his own elevator and ascended all the way to the very top of the Avengers building.
This is his private territory, a place where the Avengers can't enter without his permission.
"Sir, Mr. Wayne has been waiting for you for a long time." The AI's voice rang out just in time when the elevator door opened.
Inside the door, Bruce Wayne, dressed in a modest suit, was waiting on the couch. He is still full of charm in middle age, and his deep blue eyes are born to say touching love words. And what no one knows is that the body that has been precipitated by years of exercise under the suit is even more attractive.
"So, what bothered the famous Gotham Prince Brucy to come to my mansion?"
"Shut up, Tony." Bruce rolled his eyes ungracefully.
"Don't tell me it's because of the knight, I've already had a headache listening to him today." Tony sat down next to Bruce and picked up the unfinished bottle.
"That's your New York trouble, not Gotham's." Bruce rubbed his eyebrows and spat out a name. "Walpole."
"Heh, he's just a guy who gets carried away by jealousy." Tony took another sip of wine.
He also remembered what Walpole said when he was arrested.
- Tony Stark! Why can I never beat you! Guys like you deserve hell!
Hmph, what a ridiculous person.
"I came to New York just because of that shipment," Bruce turned on his computer. "I've found out that the weapons came from the penguins, and I recovered them. But exactly how Walpole got on the Penguins is unknown, their middleman is well hidden, and I have not yet found it. β
"So? What's the trouble you're in? Need my help? β
"No, I'm going well on this, I'm looking for you because of someone elseβ" Bruce paused. When I checked, I found out that Walpole didn't know when it was bought, and the buyer was this guy. β
When Tony saw the guy's name, he instantly understood why Bruce took it so seriously.
γMr. Toddγ
It didn't even have a name, but it was still a lifelong pain for Bruce.
"I need you to help me look up his information, Tony."
"I see."
Bruce looked at the last name steadily, his lips squirming slightly. Move.
"Ahh Jason rubbed his nose. "What's going on? Is anyone thinking about me? β
"Maybe it's because a worker is too angry." Elenore Joyce took over, her eyes tingling with a hint of black.
"Haha." Jason scratched his head in embarrassment. "It's been a hard time for you these past few days, but I will always remember your contribution to the company."
"Something practical, boss."
"Why don't I treat you to dinner?" Jason blinked. "How's the pizza?"
ββ¦β¦ You're going to find a boss who can't find a girlfriend like this. β
