21 Chapter XXI
"It's different."
Harry looked up at the building in front of him, his eyes uncomfortable with the light reflected by the sun on the glass wall.
He frowned slightly, stretched out his palm to block some of the sunlight, and looked at the not-so-tall building once again through the shadow under his palm.
"It's different." He muttered, repeating the phrase again.
He got a haircut and stepped into the company with his backpack on his back.
Plain short sleeves and jeans make this young man look youthful and energetic.
But no one could have imagined that there was an old heart hidden in this young body.
…… Well, it's not that old, and when he died in his last life, he was just the age when he first stepped into society.
Harry never thought he would have a chance again, he knew his soul was not pure.
His father was a bad man, he knew it, but he stubbornly refused to admit it, and even almost made a big mistake because of it, and hurt his friend... Peter.
Harry sighed slightly. Inevitably, he thought of his friend, the superhero who fought alone.
Peter may have been married to Mary Jane by now. Harry thought.
If he hadn't died, he would definitely have been the best man at their wedding.
The palm of his hand touched his chest, and the pain that penetrated his body seemed to remain in his muscles and bone marrow.
He never regretted giving his life to save Peter.
As he lay dying, the little resentment he had against Peter had long since disappeared.
It's just that he didn't expect that he was ready to embrace death.
But who would have thought, he opened his eyes again and found that he had become a newborn baby.
Rebirth? Or is it reincarnation?
Harry didn't know, it had taken him a long time to accept the miracle of his second life. It also took a long time for myself to get used to being a toddler.
Harry had an ordinary family, and his dad was a hard-working taxi driver who solicited customers every day, rain or shine. And his mother is a capable housewife who takes care of everything in the house every day.
His family was not wealthy, but he was able to go to the park once in his spare time, or have a big meal every weekend.
They are loving, happy, and content with their lives.
Until the age of fifteen, Harry had thought that his world was a world of peace, until one day a news item appeared on television.
Superman saves the wrecked plane.
Dressed in a bright red cape, Superman resembles a living statue of Prometheus, his strong arms holding up the de-powered plane and slowly lowering him to the ground.
Then there was the news that Captain America, a hero from World War II, had successfully thawed and returned to government.
Then, all kinds of superheroes popped up, and even aliens drilled into the earth like a bunch.
Harry could only sigh that this world was more mysterious than his previous life.
But he couldn't help but think, if there are superheroes in this world, then Spider-Man... Could his friend Peter be in this world too?
It's a pity that he waited for a long time, and he couldn't wait for the relevant reports of Spider-Man.
It wasn't until six months ago that someone photographed the red-blue figure flying among the city's high-rise buildings.
Spider-Man finally appeared.
Harry was happy about this for a while, until he realized that it was not Peter, whom he was familiar with.
The Spider-Man here is younger, a little thinner, and talks more, and the uniforms of the two are also very different.
It's impossible to say not to be disappointed.
However, this aroused Harry's stubbornness.
He couldn't help but think that if there was Spider-Man here, then Osborne... Will there be that home that I used to have?
Even if his father in his previous life turned into a jerk later, he still loved him.
So, he found the location of Osborne Enterprises and chose to come here.
It's just that reality disappointed him again.
"Hello, Mr. Osborne, why did you choose our company?"
Jason sat behind a large desk and looked at the man in front of him. And the person in charge of the interview questions is naturally his hard-working and capable assistant Elenno.
This guy is younger than he looks in the photo, with thin cheeks and long, curly hair, but not too messy, and you can tell at a glance that he has been carefully groomed.
There was a hint of melancholy in his eyes, and this melancholy emotion, combined with his outstanding appearance, easily attracted the attention of a lady.
"I want to come and see."
"What?" Elenor frowned, it wasn't a reason.
"I just, I want to come to this company." Harry looked up slightly, his slightly long hair covering his eyes, hiding his growing melancholy.
Elenor's face was not very good, and she quietly reached out and poked Jason's waist.
"You know what you're giving isn't really a reason, are you? Mr. Osborne. Jason said.
"I know, I'm sorry, but that's really why I'm here."
"And you've seen the conclusions we've come to in our company?" Jason raised an eyebrow.
A bitter smile tugged at the corner of Harry's mouth. "It's a little different from what I imagined."
“… Is he looking down on our company? Jason and Elenor bit their ears.
"Judging from his resume, people do have this qualification." Elenor expertly stabbed her boss in the heart. "This material will be popular wherever it goes."
"So what value do you think you can create for our company? Mr. Osborne? Elenor continued with the process.
"I have a master's degree in computer science from MIT, and I have been able to write a set of programs on my own since I was 10 years old." Harry said.
"Can you do it at the age of ten?" Elenore and Jason bite their ears.
"I can't." Jason shook his head. "This guy is on the same level as Stark, and such a good labor force can't go to other fields."
Elenor nodded.
Harry Osburn is indeed over-the-top and that is enough for her to ignore some of him... Strange place.
"You're excellent, Mr. Osborne, and I think it's a talent like you that our company is missing." Jason made a quick decision. "If you don't have any objection to our company's proposed salary, we can sign the contract right now."
"No problem." Harry readily agreed.
The salary Jason gave him was not high, but it was not low, but with Harry's ability, he could have found a company that would give him better treatment.
"It went so smoothly that I couldn't believe it." Jason whispered.
"You're out of shit luck." Elenore replied.
"Ah, it's just that I have one more condition." Harry said.
Jason nodded, "Please." ”
"Can you set up a reading room on the south side of the second floor?"
"Reading room?" Jason didn't understand the request, but it was easy anyway, and he didn't hesitate to agree. "Absolutely."
"Thank you." Harry smiled.
"You won't regret your choice, Mr. Osborne." Jason's smile widened after signing the contract, and he patted Harry on the shoulder affectionately. "Welcome to our company, Mr. Osborne."
Harry just smiled and didn't respond, picking up his backpack and turning away.
"Are young people so individual? It seems that there are more stories on his body than people who have lived for decades. Jason turned his pen at his fingertips in boredom.
The black pen rotated between his fingers, from index finger to little finger, and then in a circle in the air and back again. The action is not difficult, but the speed is dazzling.
"People are geniuses, and you know, geniuses are a bit quirky." Elenor was sorting out the information and said without looking up. "It's already good that people are willing to come to our company, which is not on the right track, and you should fall on your knees and be grateful."
Jason pouted. "At the current pace, how long will it take for us to get started?"
"Now the staffing is basically complete, and I have purchased and prepared the equipment I need, and I can start work."
"That's good." Jason touched his chin and kept his right hand moving.
According to his vision, the initial overall design of the game will be completed in a month. When the time comes, I will leave New York for the time being, and leave the rest to Eleno.
Gotham, this is his destination and he never forgets.
"By the way, Elenor, I've always wanted to ask, how was your date the other day? Why don't you continue to work overtime these days? ”
Elennor's body stiffened for a moment, but she quickly relaxed, which Jason didn't notice.
"Don't mention it." She said with a frown. "That damn bastard only had one date with his mother before he dared to do anything to me! I beat him up and lost contact. ”
"Really?" Jason was a little skeptical, but he didn't have the right to intervene in the private lives of his subordinates.
Elenor flung a piece of paper into Jason's face.
"What is this?"
"Your other shit luck." Elenore said. "I really didn't expect that your shameless request could really recruit people, and it was damn compliant."
Jason took the paper off his face and looked at it closely.
This is another excellent resume, but the photo shows a middle-aged and elderly man with all white hair but full muscles.
"Peter Todd?" Jason raised an eyebrow. "Wow, there are so many people named Peter and Todd these days."
"There's no need for an interview, just him."
Fertilizer and water do not flow into the fields of outsiders, and Jason is complacent about picking up two big bargains in one day.
