Chapter 12: Removing the Worship
The four ministers who assisted Xuan Ye mentioned above can be said to be the "remnants" of Haoge, the enemies of Dolgon, and Fu Lin reused them and let them be auxiliary ministers when Xuan Ye ascended the throne, and this is the reason.
As with the situation of many ministers in previous dynasties, there are also party disputes between the four ministers, and they cannot conspire with the country and help each other in the same boat. The first is that there is a disagreement between Sony and Sukh Saha, and then there is a dispute between Aobai and Sukh Saha.
Sonny died of illness in June of Kangxi's sixth year, but in fact, the party dispute between him and Sukh Saha was not strong. But it was after this that the party rivalry between Ao Bai and Sukh Saha came to a fever pitch.
As mentioned earlier, the flag to which Ao Bai belongs is a yellow flag, and Sukh Saha is a white flag.
When Dolgon secretly occupied Beijing and annexed Beizhili (Hebei Province), he arrogantly allowed the bannermen to occupy the fields and houses of the Han people for their own use, and arbitrarily and unreasonably ordered the Han people who had occupied the land and houses to find other places as compensation (in fact, to drive them out), in order to "enclose the land".
Dolgon's own Zhengbai Banner, which he belonged to, was already a self-proclaimed "pride of the sky" at that time, occupying a large number of fields and houses in Jizhou, Zunhua Prefecture, and Qian'an Prefecture, and the land was fertile. However, one of the two yellow flags, the yellow flag, was originally on top of the white flag, but it was forcibly confined by Dolgon to places of poor quality.
Now that twenty years have passed in a flash, Ao Bai wants to open the archives of old things and let the white flag and the yellow flag exchange land, Sukh Saha of course wants to object, arguing that the people of the two flags have lived for many years, and it is really inconvenient to order them to exchange and move now.
Ao Bai himself is a short-tempered person, otherwise how could he be known as "Baturu", he did not care whether Su Ke Saha opposed it or not, and in December of the fifth year of Kangxi, he ordered Su Nahai, a scholar and minister of household management, to preside over the land exchange with Zhu Changzuo, the governor of Zhili, and Wang Denglian, the governor of Zhili. The three of them tried to do it, but encountered great resistance, so they proposed to Ao Bai if they could stop the land exchange. Ao Bai is now in power, and before Xuan Ye is in power, Ao Bai used Xuan Ye's name to issue a holy decree saying that Sunahai and the other three "despise the order" and behead them together.
In July of the second year, Kangxi was in power, Suke Saha knew that he could not fight in the power of the current Aobai, and said that he was willing to retire, and there were two sentences in the song, "begging to guard the mausoleum of the first emperor, and you have to save the rest of your life", Kangxi, who was only fifteen years old at the time, still couldn't understand the meaning of these two sentences, so he came to ask Suke Saha: Why must you keep the mausoleum of the first emperor in order to save the rest of your life?
Seeing this as an opportunity, Ao Bai said that Sukh Saha was "resentful" (complaining and disappointed with the emperor) and did not want the current power to be in the hands of the emperor; He also listed the twenty-four deadly sins of Sukh Saha, who should be executed by Ling Chi along with his eldest son, Chakdan, and his other sons and several grandsons, as well as nephews and distant families, all of whom should be beheaded.
Kangxi refused, Ao Bai dared to roll up his sleeves directly, as if he was going to do it, Kangxi was young, and he was afraid to allow Ao Bai's performance, and only changed Ling Chi of Su Ke Saha to hanging.
Although Kangxi did this, he already had the idea of Aobai in his heart, but now the power and political groups in the court are all Aobai's people, and he can only adjust the candidates in the service now, so he thought of a way.
Recruit some of the sons of princes and ministers and let them be their own bodyguards. In fact, how could Kangxi be worried that his guards were not enough to protect him, he was preparing that these guards could do him a great favor one day in the future and get rid of Aobai. The guards went to the palace and practiced the "play of fluttering" (similar to Mongolian wrestling) with him.
Until the third day of the fifth month of the eighth year of Kangxi, Kangxi planned a plan to capture and worship. Ao Bai went to court as usual, Kangxi made a look, and all the teenagers swarmed up, fought with Ao Bai for dozens of rounds, and locked Ao Bai and captured it.
After the matter was over, Kangxi immediately asked the kings and ministers to study the sins of Aobai, and the kings and ministers discussed the performance, saying that there were thirty major sins in Aobai (six more than Suke Saha), and the clan should be exterminated. Kangxi's affectionate and gentle side was shown, he said: Gu Nian He served for a long time, avoided death, and was sentenced to imprisonment and raided his home.
Aobai's two younger brothers, Marimu and Sabende, his nephew Nemo, as well as his henchmen, the university scholars Bambulshan, Shangshu Asiha, Kachuha, and Jishi, Shilang Bitu, and the scholar Wu Gesai, were all beheaded.
