Chapter 40: The Abyss Altar

"There are more and more signs of decay, just ahead."

Alexander was completely enveloped in white aura, and he waved his wings and rushed forward.

The walls on both sides of the corridor are covered with filthy and dried yellow-green pus, and the air is full of bacteria and viruses.

But everything was burned and purified after Alexander's flight, leaving only the smell of the flames burning his nails.

Magnus noticed that the Terminators were no longer able to keep up with Alexander, but still didn't say anything to slow him down.

It was Alexander's first battle, and it was the one in which he embraced himself and embraced courage.

Ho~ho~

There was a feeble roar from the depths of the hallway.

Flying a few meters upward, Alexander was the first to see a group of bloated and hobbled rotten walking corpses.

They have a pungent smell from their bodies, and thick corpse water flows from their bodies.

"There is an enemy ahead, fire freely."

Alexander shouted, and immediately retracted his wings and spun around in the relatively narrow corridor.

Choking~,

The blue flaming sword broke through the speed of sound in his hand and slashed down in a wonderful arc.

Dozens of walking corpses standing in the way of the middle of the corridor froze abruptly in place, and when Alexander flew away, their heads gurgled and rolled to the sides.

Pale blue flames burned around their necks, burning like maggots with bones, until the bones were reduced to a pile of white ashes.

"For the Emperor! For Your Highness!! ”

The Terminators raised their Storm Heavy Explosive Guns and spewed a barrage of fiery serpents forward, speeding forward in pursuit of Alexander, who was already far away.

The dozens of walking corpses that remained were shattered by the touch of the bomb, and they couldn't stop the Space Marines at all.

"Rancidity, bacteria and viruses."

"Alexander's flames seem to kill them completely."

Magnus slowed down to record this rare scene.

Under the light of the white light on the staff of the Thousand Sons, some of the walking corpses that had been slain by Alexander completely disappeared into the material world as the blue flames rose.

In the past, when the Thousand Sons Legion dealt with these subspace events, they would always face the resurrection of corpse monsters, so much so that they always ended up burning the planet.

Now it seems that a way has been found to eliminate them completely, which means that the empire's possessions can be preserved to the fullest extent possible.

"Father, there's something unusual here, it seems to be some kind of curse."

Senko Konoshi kicks away ugly and grotesque corrupted creatures, and the walking corpse is covered in terrifying sarcomas, on which strange beast heads emerge.

"Follow Your Highness first."

Magnus used his psionic energy to hold up the Thousand Sons Warrior and quickly followed the light in front of him.

There is no time to stop studying the curse or not, and there is naturally enough material ahead.

...

Overhead is the darkness that never dawns, and under the feet is the bottomless abyss.

Alexander's aura guided everyone towards the convergence of countless forked corridors.

There, there is a circular altar.

A circular gladiatorial arena.

Densely packed with thousands of disgusting walking corpses, they stood on the circular altar and moved blindly towards the center.

And in the center, there is a mountain of flesh nearly ten meters high, which exudes the smell of decay and flows with pus.

"Hahaha, it's finally here."

Alexander's hollow voice rang out abruptly, causing reverberations around the altar.

Rotten Roshan slowly shifted his ass to face the darkness, to face the deep wall.

Suddenly, a beam of spiritual light illuminated this dark place.

Alexander's figure suddenly flew out of the corridor, his wings stretched out and soaring through the abyss.

The pure white spiritual light, along with the figure of the angel, illuminated the entire altar, and also illuminated thousands of walking corpses.

"Gross! It's disgusting. ”

Alexander hung his sword high in the air and felt sick to his stomach, and he could clearly see the worms burrowing in and out of the mountain of rotting meat.

The corrupt creatures moved towards the center precisely because Roshan had a large mouth on his stomach and was devouring them one by one.

This thing is very much like the Great Demon of Nurgle, the Great Impure.

"It's just part of the cycle, and even you will be part of it."

Rotten Roshan stood up with a boning knife the size of a door panel, causing pus and bile to spill all over his body.

The corrupt walking corpses entrenched around it were stained with a trace of it, and its body quickly became a strangely shaped deformed tumor.

Their skin is turning green, their bodies are getting more and more bloated, and their bodies are moving closer to the fat impurities.

It was only then that Alexander saw that the rotting Roshan was not eating the corrupt creatures, but transforming them and 'blessing' them.

'Hahaha, praise the Father. ’

This is wonderful evolution, the Great Lord of Life. ’

The Nurgle spirits and corrupted walking corpses that surrounded Roshan let out a howl.

At this moment, a string of bright spots jumped up and down in the corridor behind Alexander, and Magnus rushed out of the corridor with forty Space Marines.

"Magnus, do you know this?"

Alexander exuded his psionic powers, burning all viruses and bacteria in the air.

Magnus nodded, but did not name Nagma and the Great Impure.

The Emperor had revealed to him the classification of the four gods of subspace in Alexander's memory, as well as the various aspects of vigilance.

"This thing shouldn't look like it came out of it, it should be a remnant of this world."

"Radiation, viruses, death and despair on the surface of the earth, otherwise there would be more than that."

Magnus was quick to express his opinion, and every minute and second of their time here was invaded by viruses and bacteria.

The Thousand Sons Legion has unleashed its own psionic powers, silently protecting the Forbidden Army and the Thunder Warriors, which they have also seen, so they have their own unique way of dealing with them.

"Whether they're saved or not, let me purify it."

Alexander swung the flaming sword in his hand, and his left hand clenched into a fist to mobilize a powerful psionic power.

A scorching blue flame that could scorch everything rushed towards the altar with Alexander's figure.

In an instant, hundreds of green-skinned walking corpses were covered with flames, and no matter how much they slapped, they could not extinguish it, and they all wailed and turned into ashes.

Only a few walking corpses that were closer to the rotting Roshan survived by wallowing in the pus spilled by the rotting Roshan.

Magnus had noticed when he had arrived that Alexander seemed to have some kind of ability to completely wipe out subspace creatures, and he was now even more convinced.

He did not take the initiative to participate in the battle, but he still watched Alexander's battle at all times, and was ready to protect him.

"Hold the corridor and protect the way out."

Magnus noticed the Praetorian Army and Thunder Warriors behind him eager to try, and took the initiative to stop them so that they would not be invaded by the virus in the air.

Now there are corridors that extend in all directions, and only the road they came from has been marked, and they can go out and return the same way.

The Thousand Sons stood behind the Terminator, their psionic staff emitting a bright white light.

"Ho ho, praise be to the Lord of life."

Nurgle bounced down the corridor towards the Thunder Warriors, and the walking corpses followed in their footsteps in Magnus's direction.

"Ahead, fire suppression."

Justin led the team of Terminators to the front, and the bullets from the StormType Heavy Explosive Shotgun formed a white spear of light into the circular altar.

All the creatures in the line were hit and blown apart.

Nothing could crush the Terminators in a hallway until they had poured out their firepower.
