Chapter 286: A Brief Rite (Asking for Points, Pushing and Receiving Rewards)

After experiencing a light flutter, Liu Bang, the ancestor of Han Gao, was obsessed with that game.

Since then, Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, has become the first emperor in Chinese history to worship Confucius and reuse Confucianism.

It is said that the reason why Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, was on the way back to Beijing to learn Chang'an...... I made a special trip to Qufu to sacrifice Confucius with a grand "Taigao" ceremony...... Therefore, Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, became the first monarch in Chinese history to visit the Confucian Temple to worship Confucius, because when Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, passed through Qufu on the way back to Chang'an, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, Liu Bang, suddenly remembered that the ancestor who could make himself flutter was there, and he loved the house and Wu, so Liu Bang was on the way back to Chang'an...... I made a special trip to Qufu to sacrifice Confucius with a grand "Taigao" ceremony...... As a result, Liu Bang became the first monarch in Chinese history to visit the Confucian Temple to worship Confucius.

In fact, the reason why the wise disciple of the more famous Confucian Confucianism at that time was able to make Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, feel light and fluttering through a etiquette, was actually very simple.

That's because in human nature there is a sense of superiority.

Superiority refers to a nature or state that shows contempt or conceit, and is a sense of self. Most people will have some kind of superiority to varying degrees, such as professional superiority, appearance superiority, etc. Generally refers to the state of mind that oneself thinks that oneself is better or stronger than others in terms of physiology (body shape, appearance, physical strength, etc.), psychological aspects (intelligence, knowledge, skills, etc.), and other aspects. Austrian psychologist A. Adler believes that the overall goal of human beings is to pursue "superiority", which is to get rid of the inferiority complex in order to obtain a sense of superiority. He reduced the whole life-motivated role of man to the compensatory effect of getting rid of the inferiority complex. He believes that superiority is the desire to pursue power by all means, to try to be above others. People with a sense of superiority are often prone to manifest this state of mind in inappropriate ways (e.g., arrogance, stubbornness, self-appreciation, etc.).

People tend to have a sense of superiority, because people will always have some kind of advantage, a certain ability, a certain creation, a certain achievement, so that they feel superior to others and surpass others. This is actually a very common thing. In life, why don't you demand that you be superior to others and surpass others? Why can't you have some kind of "passbook" that is thicker than others? If everyone lacks this kind of demand, what progress can society have at all? It should be said that the question is not whether this feeling should be there or not, but the terrible thing is that once this feeling arises and swells, it will unconsciously occupy his dominant nerve, so that he no longer has a sense of crisis or self-satisfaction. Refusal to absorb, vitality decreases, false fire rises, and qi and blood are not smooth. Over time, you will lose your balance, lose your way, lose your will, and have a dull vision. It will even lead to tragedy in life, which is by no means alarmist.

Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, stood and even sat on the high dragon chair by himself, accepting the kneeling of others, and the feeling of being high up was natural.

What is the feeling of being high and not a sense of superiority?

Confucianism was able to laugh the most out of the hundreds of sons, and became the heart of the emperor, and etiquette contributed indispensably.

It is said that Dong Zhongshu also made some changes to those etiquette later.

Dong Zhongshu divided etiquette into regular etiquette and simple etiquette.

The so-called regular etiquette is the formal etiquette.

The so-called simple etiquette is a simplified version of etiquette.

With a simplified version of etiquette, it is possible to perform etiquette according to the mood of the emperor.

After all, sometimes, if the court is in a hurry, it is also carried out in accordance with formal etiquette, which is a waste of time.

However, if there is no etiquette at all, it is obvious that there is not enough respect for the emperor.

However, Dong Zhongshu's transformation of Jian Li solved these two problems in one fell swoop.

After all, the so-called simple etiquette is a simplified version of etiquette, and the simplified version of etiquette must not take much time, otherwise it is not a simplified version, is it?

And as a simplified version of etiquette, no matter what, there must be enough respect for the emperor.

Dong Zhongshu was able to be reused by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty because he changed the etiquette and created the simple etiquette.

It was precisely because Dong Zhongshu was reused by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty that Dong Zhongshu was able to get the opportunity to propose "deposing the hundred schools of thought and respecting Confucianism alone".

Of course, we can also believe that the reason why Dong Zhongshu proposed to "depose the hundred schools of thought and respect Confucianism alone" was the instruction of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. (To be continued......)
