Chapter 33: The Continent of Carragher
After continuing the voyage for seven days, the ship made a brief landing on a small island called Colombo.
The island is small in size, but it is very lively, and the port is full of people.
When Gerag and a group of apprentice wizards arrived on deck, Dino stood in front and said, "We'll stay here for the night, and you can go to the island to relax." But remember, I will leave on time tomorrow at noon and will not wait for anyone. Also, this is a place that belongs to our Dream Island, and it is watched over by a wizard. Most of the islands are made up of ordinary people, and if anyone dares to mess around, then prepare to eat the punishment of the wizards. ”
Dino knew that this group of people had been too depressed some time ago, and it happened that the small island of Colombo was very commercial, with many taverns, inns and strippers, which allowed them to relax here.
It just so happened that the fresh water on the ship also needed to be replenished, so Dino simply drove the boat here.
Lilian disembarked and headed straight for an inn, and Herag asked, "Why are you in such a hurry?" ”
"I haven't been in the shower in months." Without looking back, Lilian paid for a room, and then went upstairs to take a bath.
There is no way to bathe on the ship, and all the fresh water is precious, which is the most unbearable point for Lillian.
But Lillian had been prepared, she had an enchanted towel that was always moist and could be used to wipe her body.
Herag had seen the towel, but Lillian wouldn't touch it, guessing that the magic inside was supposed to absorb moisture from the air.
He went downstairs and opened a room for himself, and the price here was not cheap, and a room cost a whole silver coin a night.
Herag looked at the furnishings in the room, it was simple but clean, and the items were neatly arranged.
He waited a while after taking a shower before Lilian finished cleaning up, and then the two of them went out together.
When night falls, the small island of Colombo becomes more lively, with people singing, dancing and drinking around the campfire.
There is also a long shopping street, where vendors usually take a blanket and spread it on the ground and put their wares for sale.
There are a wide variety of goods, from hand-woven hats and baskets, to clay-fired paper bottles and jars, as well as all kinds of antiques.
Something caught his eye as he passed by a stall, and he crouched down at the side of the stall, quietly picked up an antique vase and asked, "How much does this cost?" ”
The stall owner was a bald middle-aged man, who was holding a black cat, glanced at the vase and said, "Twenty silver coins." ”
"It's too expensive." Herag put the vase down.
"It's fake, why are you buying this?" Lillian wondered.
"Just take a look."
Herag then picked up a few more items and inquired about the price, and finally picked a few seemingly randomly, costing a total of sixteen silver coins.
Lillian squinted at him and didn't speak.
After the two returned to the inn after dinner, Lillian came to the room and closed the door and asked, "What did you just do, you found something good, show me." ”
Herag pulled out a hexagonal plate made of some kind of wood and dark in color. In the middle of the plate is a painting of a hexagonal tower, identical to the one in the pocket watch.
Lillian took the plate and looked at it carefully, wondering, "Is this a treasure?" There was nothing out of the ordinary, and there was no flow of magic. ”
"Maybe it's not a baby, I've seen this painting in the middle of the plate before, so I bought it." Gerag explained that he wasn't sure if it had any value, but the painting was exactly the same as the one in his pocket watch.
Lillian was not interested in hearing him say this: "I thought it was some big baby, boring." ”
"Okay, I'm tired too, I'm sleeping." Herag lay on the soft bed, a wave of sleepiness coming over him, and he was ready to get a good night's sleep today.
He has barely slept since he learned meditation, and has replaced sleep with meditation.
……
After a short overnight stay in Colombo, the ship sped off to the mainland of Carragher.
More than twenty days later, Herag stood on the deck and saw the shadow of the continent in the distance.
The ship docked at Ruby Harbor, where all the wizard apprentices disembarked.
Dino was at the front, and he said to the crowd, "Everyone, follow me." ”
He led the group across the street to a tavern called Leaky Cauldron.
"Hey! It's Dino! ”
"He's back with a new man."
"I'll see, there are quite a few newcomers this time."
"Young lads, welcome to the continent of Karagher!"
……
As soon as Dino walked into the tavern, he attracted a lot of attention, many people were greeting him, and the wizard apprentices he was taking with him became a new topic of conversation for everyone in the tavern.
Herag noticed that the people here were all wizards without exception, and most of them were at the level of wizard apprentices.
"I didn't even see a wizard outside just now, why are there so many here? A Wizard's Tavern? Gerag was a little puzzled, he figured that there must be some magic at the tavern door that he hadn't noticed, so that only wizards could see and enter the tavern.
Lilian stood out in the group, many of them were whistling at her, and Lilian didn't even look at the greasy wizards.
Dino led them through the tavern to a wall in the backyard.
He walked to the wall, pressed the bricks in turn, and said, "Melinda! ”
There was a booming sound on the wall, and then the bricks parted to the left and right, revealing a path.
The world behind the wall is very different from the courtyard, behind the wall is a forest, and a bluestone paved road winds into the depths of the forest. The forest is darkly lit and there are birdsong, but the sun is fierce in the yard and the weather is nice.
Herag and the others were a little surprised to see this strange scene, they had seen this kind of scene for the first time.
As if he was used to it, Dino took the lead and waved his hand to the back: "Let's go." ”
The crowd followed him into the world behind the wall, and many people walked past and looked back, but it looked like an ordinary forest behind it, and the wall was gone.
Dino turned around and said, "The people of the various wizarding organizations are in front, wait for you to listen to my arrangement." The journey of months is over today, good luck to you. ”
He rested his left hand on his chest and bent down in a gentlemanly salute.
"Thank you, Mr. Dino for taking care of you all the way." Lillian wore a long skirt and returned the gift with the skirt in her hand.
The others also saluted and thanked them, and Dino was really responsible along the way, at least they made it to their destination safely.
There was not a single ray of sunlight in the gloomy forest, and there was a thick fog everywhere.
Herag looked up, and there was also a thick white fog above the forest, and the position of the sun could not be seen at all.
A few crows were heard occasionally in the distance, adding to the gloomy feeling.
