Chapter Seventy-Four: Departure

"I picked it up on the only way into the mountain outside of Valley Town." Robert glanced at Herag, as if observing Herag's face.

He continued: "I really picked it up, and the death of that wizard really has nothing to do with me. โ€

Seeing that he was in a hurry to explain, Herag knew that he had misunderstood, so he said, "I have nothing to do with that wizard, I don't even know who he is, and I didn't come to Xingshi because of his death. โ€

Robert was relieved to hear what Herag said.

"Creek Valley Town...... "Herag hadn't heard of this place before.

He looked at Robert and asked, "Where is the town of Canyon?" โ€

"It's just east of Stormwind, and it's about three days away on horseback." Robert was familiar with these places and spoke without the slightest pause.

"Is there anything special about that place?" Herag wondered why a wizard had died in that place.

Robert touched the back of his head, thought for a moment and said, "As far as I know, it's nothing special, it's just a very ordinary mountain town, and the population of the town is relatively small. โ€

"Is there any special rumor about that place? Ghost stories are also available. Herag continued.

Robert shook his head: "I don't know much about this, and I'm not a local either. There should be ghost stories, and there will be some of them everywhere. If you want to know, it's best to go to the local area and ask. โ€

"Does the Adventurers' Guild have any information about that place?" Khrag asked.

Robb nodded and said, "There should be, and the surrounding area associations should have records." โ€

"Don't go yet, I'll probably ask you to lead the way." Herag got up, ready to borrow materials from the Adventurers' Guild.

When Miro heard the news, he quickly rushed over and took Herag and Robert to the fourth floor.

The fourth floor is much like an archive, with rows of cabinets full of documents.

"Here are some records of the surrounding geography, let me take a look at the valley town...... It should be here. Miro searched through the rows of cabinets for a while, and finally stopped in front of one of them, opened the cabinet, and took out a file bag from inside.

Miro walked out with the document bag and handed it to Herag: "The relevant materials of the valley town are here, and the content is from the last thirty years. โ€

Herag took the bag and pulled out a thick stack of papers.

He sat down on a bench to the side, slowly flipping through the information of the town of Brook Valley.

The valley town has a history of more than 200 years, and the population has always been around 200 to 300.

The materials contain some information about the last 30 years in the valley town, the most serious of which are some geological disasters such as landslides, and nothing else that seems strange.

"Isn't it ...... here?"

Herag had originally speculated that the town of Gorge might be the source of the Poison Doll, and that it was likely to be a resource point, with an abundance of spellcasting and potion materials.

In such a place, there are usually some strange things happening, which are some supernatural events for ordinary people.

But this valley town is too ordinary to have anything out of the ordinary.

"Does Vice President Mirรณ know anything about this place?" Herag asked after reading the information.

Mirรณ thought for a moment and said, "I'm sorry, I don't know much about this place, it's just an ordinary town. โ€

"A wizard died there not long ago, do you know?" Herag asked, looking at Miro.

Miro was a little surprised: "Wizard? I haven't received a message. โ€

Herag glanced at Robert, "That's what he said. โ€

Robert explained: "I did meet a dead man on that mountain road with the rag doll in his hand, but I can't be sure if it was a wizard or not, just judging by what he was wearing. But I haven't heard anything about it since then, so maybe it's not a wizard......"

Miro wondered, "No, whether the person who died was a wizard or not, I haven't heard of anyone dying in the valley town. Robert, when did you find that dead man? โ€

"About two months ago." Robert said truthfully.

Miro shook his head: "No way, I haven't heard of anyone dying there in the past two months." Unless only Robert saw the body, then the body was disposed of by someone else and no one else found it. โ€

The Adventurers' Guild has always been very well-informed, and there are not many residents in the valley town, and there is only one mountain road to the outside. If someone dies on a mountain road, they will definitely be found by the local residents and then report the news.

But the Adventurers Association does not have any news about this.

"Finally found something out of the ordinary." Herag wasn't sure if it was related to a mysterious event or if it was just a man-made event.

He stood up and said, "Robert, come with me, lead the way, and go to the valley town." โ€

"Okay." Rob nodded in disagreement.

The information of the valley town, Herrag, has been entered by Deep Blue, and no valuable information has been found for the time being.

He returned the bag and went downstairs, and said to Sid, who was guarding below, "I'm going to go out, you can go back first." โ€

"My lord, don't you need me to follow?" Sid took the initiative to follow Hellag's side.

Herag shook his head and said, "Your strength is too weak, if something happens, I don't have time to take care of you, you can go back first." โ€

Herag said it so bluntly that Sid touched his head a little embarrassed and said, "Then I'll go back first, my lord." โ€

Mirรณ arranged for two horses for Hellag and Robert, and prepared some dry food and water for them.

There is still some distance between Stormwind City and Canyon Town, and although the two of them are strong, they still need basic supplies.

Without much pause, Herag mounted his horse and headed for the city gates, followed by Robert.

In the city, Herag still needed to control his speed, and when he got out of the city, he began to kick the horse in the belly and galloped out.

After coming out of Stormwind, he quickly entered the mountains.

It's full of mountains, and the speed of horseback riding has gradually slowed down, and you can't either climb or descend the mountain, and you can't gallop as much as you can on flat land.

Two days later, the two arrived in the small town of Brooklyn.

There is a mountain road on the outskirts of the valley town, which is a mountain road with a glimmer of sky.

Herag was walking along the mountain road, and as he was about to go in, a squirrel was chirping in a nearby tree.

"Shut up!" Robert found the squirrel annoying and yelled at the squirrel a few times.

The squirrel was so frightened by him that he disappeared after a few jumps from branch to branch.

"My lord, I saw the dead man here that day, and he was lying on his back, holding the rag doll in his hand, and it took me a little effort to tear the doll off." Robert recounted the events of that day.
