Section 301 Challenges

Section 301 Challenge

The cold light of steel shimmered all around. The equipment of the two armies was so different that it was immediately recognizable, but the battle remained uncontrolled and dragged into the melee. The battlefield disintegrates into hundreds of smaller battles. Now, the hustle and bustle and the killing have become the main themes that rule the place.

More than one wave of enemies noticed the importance of the flag. As long as the flag does not fall, it can tell the soldiers that their side has not yet been defeated, and can give the soldiers the courage to fight. Soon, Robin's side was under tremendous pressure. A large group of Chaos warriors, including some lightly armored Marauders and some heavily armored Chaos Warriors, pressed towards this side. Robin stood under the banner, armed with a sword and shield, but in reality the weapon was useless now. He regretted it a little, he should have taken a spear too, so that at least he could fight, instead of standing behind and hurrying. His men formed a circle of their own, spears stretched out like hedgehogs, resisting the onslaught of the Chaos Warriors. This tactic had a slight effect at first, relying on the advantage of the spear's attack range, and several Chaos Warriors charged into this layer of Deaththorn, killing them all. But then the enemy spearmen began to multiply - the marauder cavalry was also armed with spears suitable for cavalry, and all the cavalry dismounted and fought on foot. So the battle turned into mutual casualties.

After several encounters, the spearmen fell several times and had to retreat. Robin stood in front of the flag bearer and stepped back together. His education reminded him that he should rush forward and take the lead, but in this spear assassination battle, his weapon was completely out of his hands.

Taler beside him was better than expected, at least he didn't turn around and run away screaming. But in fact, in the face of this real slaughter and fighting, all the training he received has already gone to Java. He had to use all his strength to stand in the ranks, spear in hand, protecting the flanks of his comrades. Although in reality there are no Chaos Warriors attempting to flank at this time.

And so the battle continued. The entire phalanx of spears slowly retreated along with the flag. In most areas of the battlefield, the Chaos Legion has the upper hand. Their axes, flails, and warhammers are better suited to this kind of melee. The screams of the dead were mixed with the bloodthirsty hind feet, and there was chaos everywhere. Only the sound of muskets appeared neat and orderly. Every once in a while, a salvo of muskets would be fired on time, helping the pikemen to save part of the situation.

The position of the flag was attacked more and more, and the degree of retreat became faster and faster. Robin also clashed with the rushing enemy for the first time at this time. The marauder rushed in a frenzy, then died under the flanking of Robin's sword and two spears. But because of his recklessness, the circle was broken, and the two spearmen fell at the same time.

Finally, the battle changed. As more and more enemies poured in, the battle on the Banner side became more and more unfavorable. Finally, the two marauders broke through the outer defenses, covered in wounds, and rushed through the diagonal spurs. Robin blocked one of them, but the other killed the standard-bearer. The flag fell in an instant.

Perhaps this is the inevitable result of the combat exhibition. But it seems that at the moment when the flag fell, the phalanx of spearmen finally broke through on the battlefield, and the soldiers scattered.

Robin was no longer able to recover, he retreated, and then found himself in a very bad situation, and the situation on the battlefield had changed from a small battle to a one-sided hunt and slaughter. The previous retreat of resistance had turned into a frenzied run of fear. The road was full of wounded soldiers and dying people. Many of the soldiers were disemboweled, and some were even turned into pieces. For some reason, the fear in his heart subsided at this point, and he began to seriously observe the appropriate way to retreat.

The enemy finally broke through the front. This fills the Chaos Warriors with a triumphant frenzy. They scattered in groups, attacking the warriors who had no time to flee or still tried to resist like wolves besieging rabbits.

Robin didn't get far on the battlefield full of dead and wounded when he was blocked by a large group of enemy troops.

There were only three spearmen left with him, and one of them was Teller. A little farther away, another small group of spearmen was subjected to a similar situation. More than half of them fell under the axes of Chaos, and the rest screamed and tried to escape. Two marauders armed with black steel spears began to kill the wounded on the ground one by one, like stabbing worms with bamboo sticks. The unfortunate ones were wounded and could not get up to escape or resist, but could only roll on the ground, dodge, and then be killed.

The two sides engaged in a brief standoff. Some of the scattered soldiers on the side saw that the ranks here were relatively neat, so they ran over for protection. In the blink of an eye, a new battle broke out. Robin's men clenched their spears and headed for the enemy. The small space was littered with steel and flesh colliding with each other. It was difficult to distinguish between friend and foe all around, full of dead and wounded killings, and Robin began to be unable to judge clearly. He could only stare at one Chaos Marauder warrior, while the others scurried around.

In a moment, the battle was over. Most of the soldiers who tried to gather around Robin were wounded, painful and afraid, and when they saw the enemy gathering, they scattered. It ended in a chase and carnage. Robin knocked his opponent down and immediately retreated to the back.

He's done with his job...... He should have done his job. The next one is up to the general.

Then he stopped. Four Chaos warriors—not light-armored marauders, but black-clad Chaos warriors—walked toward him. Robin looked around him, and Thaler was the only one left. The young soldier also understood what was going on. He gripped the spear stiffly, sweat from his hands making even the hilt shiny.

Robin subconsciously wanted to run away, but there was another group of enemy troops behind him. Four Chaos Warriors fanflanked him. He'd read a lot of books about martial arts, and all of them said that he couldn't back down in such situations, and that he had to stand still and meet the enemy head-on, or simply charge head-on. Just kill one of the people who stand in his way and he can rush out, otherwise ......

The ground beneath his feet is where he is buried.

Taler beside him rushed forward. The young recruit shouted, spear stabbing at the Chaos Warrior in front of him. But the enemy lightly blocked the tip of the spear with a shield. With a piercing scraping of steel, the tip of the spear was tossed aside, and the tomahawk sliced through the air.

Robin stood in front of Thaler at the last moment, swatting the axe away with his shield. The pain felt like burning, and he felt inexplicably dizzy, and his body shook uncontrollably. He gasped as he saw his shield shatter along with his armour, and the flesh on his left forearm was blurred.

Then, he recognized the Chaos Warrior from the logo on his armor. Thaler had found the wrong person, this one was the Chosen Warrior of Chaos—a title that meant that the other party had been so battle-hardened that others believed that he was chosen by the evil gods. This kind of person is the elite in the chaos......

He didn't have time to think more, the second blow had already arrived. Robin took a few steps back to avoid the blow, but his foot was off balance on something. The blow just now made half of his body numb, making it impossible for him to control his balance in time. He fell to the ground with a thud. The one who tripped him was a corpse, blood running all over the ground. He tried to get up, but his feet slipped in a pool of blood. The Chaos Warrior approached, their massive form obscuring even half of the sky. The axe is raised again for the next kill.

A crisp shot rang out. The axe held high by the Chaos Warrior suddenly fell to the ground weakly. In the next moment, a figure appeared as if out of thin air. With a sword in his left hand and a pistol in his right, Bayral appeared at Robin's side. Another gunshot, another Chaos warrior staggered and fell. Robin saw Bayral drop his pistol and pull another one from his belt.

The remaining two Chaos Warriors roared and pounced. Beller did not move, and there was no fear of color. He pulled the trigger in succession and hit two enemies with two bullets. One of the Chaos Warriors was shot but didn't fall, so Beller dropped his pistol, sword in both hands, and stabbed through the cracks in Chaos armor.

The enemy fell to one knee and screamed loudly. There was no bloodthirsty fanaticism in that voice, only the fear of pain and death.

In the next moment, Bayrell drew his sword and returned to his defense, his sword in his left hand, and his right hand had once again drawn a pistol from under his cloak.

A marauder rushed at Beller with a great blade, only to be tripped by a nearby Thaler with a spear shaft. The bullet struck through the door in front of him, lifting half of his skull. Bayral's pistols are all double-barreled and hold two bullets. Another shot was fired, and another marauder fell to the ground with a crier.

Robin looked stunned, and then saw that behind Beller, a neat battle queue was pressing over. The soldiers were armed with halberds and walked in unison, like an iron wall full of sharp thorns, and pressed unstoppably.

The unformed Chaos warriors in front of them almost all collapsed in front of the steel walls. This scene greatly encouraged the fleeing spearmen, and more than one regained his courage. Instead of running away, several squads struggled to entangle the Chaos warriors in front of them, preventing them from rallying and retreating.

My hand...... The blood is flowing so fast

"Quick, bandage!" said Beller. He lowered his sword, pulled a bandage from his pocket, and quickly wrapped Robin's arm. Then there was Thaler's leg, who had also been wounded in the previous battle. Bayral's movements are fluid and skillful, and he is clearly extremely experienced.

As he did this, the queue of halberders had already passed them. This is two hundred soldiers of Béral, his elite, who had been placed in the rear in previous battles. Their presence turned the tide of the battle. The Chaos Warriors rushed towards them in a chaotic manner, and were stabbed to death in front of the battle without any suspense.

In the blink of an eye, Robin was now out of danger. There were several other wounded around him, and Bayral wrapped up their wounds one by one.

This was the first time Robin had seen Beller's table on the battlefield. He always thought that the general was good at strategizing and winning a thousand miles. But he never thought that he would also be able to lead the way and be outnumbered.

Béral was not in a hurry, he picked up the hands he had dropped earlier, reloaded the bullets, and inserted them back into his belt.

The sound of muskets always maintained a steady rhythm. At this time, the sound of gunfire sounded as pleasant as fairy music. The Chaos Warriors' efforts to regroup were shattered, or at least delayed, by bullets. The halberders swept all the way, and Robin saw only a few halberders retreat with injuries. And their injuries don't look bad.

Robin was pulled up by the General. He didn't know if his injuries were serious, but at least he felt fine except for his arm. Bayral looked at the battle ahead. The Chaos Legion resisted stubbornly, blocking the advance of the halberders. A black-armored Chaos warrior opened a gap in the halberd's ranks, wielding the flail in his hand ferociously. There were a few others around him, but only in a supporting role. In fact, he used one person to block the entire queue of halberds.

"Chaos Champion!" Beller spat out the term clearly. The Chaos Champion Samurai is second only to the Chaos Lord. It is clear that this Chaos Champion is the commander of this Chaos force.

"Where's your general, come, challenge me, you cowardly maggots!" shouted the Chaos Champion.

Robin saw the smile on Beller's lips, and then watched his general stride forward, clenching his sword in one hand and reaching back with the other, gripping the handle of the pistol, and, with his cape, covering the hand holding the handle.
