Now the book is written from the West to the East because I wanted to try to make steampunk fit into the East, so when I chose the subject matter, I decided that the book would be fantasy, not Western fantasy.

The reason why I chose the Tang Empire is that as a Chinese, I have a soft spot for Tang.
