Chapter 37: Dragon Writing

"Reseth~ How am I going to get out? Are you so old that you can talk?" said Dearlando, picking up the young dragon and touching its head. To be honest, he hadn't seen a sober baby dragon in the Dragon Realm yet, and the Namantor outside at the same stage could speak, and it stands to reason that Reses should be able to speak.

"Goo~" As a result, Reeth tilted his head, still let out a snort, obviously still unable to speak. But then it struggled and tried to fly away. Dearlando let go of his hand and watched as the young dragon flew into the air for what it was going to do. Ryeth circled for a moment, turned his head and screamed, as if to ask him to follow.

Dearlando looked at Holm and Winnie and motioned for them to stay where they were, while he chased Riseth to the top of the Mushroom Mountain. The young dragon flew to the top of the hill and immediately burrowed into the gap beneath a cluster of bacteria. The gap was only more than a foot wide, and no matter how you look at it, an adult can't squeeze through it, so Diarlando had to pull out his invisible dagger and cut off that part of the mushroom rhizome before barely burrowing down.

The faint white light of the young dragon illuminated the road in front, but fortunately, in addition to the relatively small entrance, the space below was quite spacious, more than one person wide. Descending on layers of mushroom remains, this almost vertical passage leads to the mushroom-covered foundation.

Eventually, Risen stopped on the surface of the stone at the bottom of the passage, and slapped his tail against the dusty ground, where the dust flew, but under the dust was a shining stone surface. It turns out that this place has reached the surface of the core of all things, and it seems that those huge mushrooms have grown from this gem to draw nutrients.

Diarlando jumped to the ground and crouched down, sweeping aside the dust with his hands. The young dragon immediately flew to his shoulder, hugged the back of his head, and lay on top of his head to watch him tidy up, and his mouth kept making a cooing sound, which sounded like he was urging something.

After removing the ash, Dearlando discovered that it was a heart-shaped notch in the core of all things, and the letters of various languages embedded in the rock layer reflected faintly in the light of Rises.

"Hey, what the hell are you bringing me here for? Dearlando grabbed Ryses off his head with his backhand, then pointed to the letters on the ground and asked, "This is not a complete dictionary, what is the use of having various translations of just three words?"

The young dragon twisted and slipped out of Dearlandor's hand, falling to the ground, and then clawed on Dearlandor's fingers touching the ground. A beeping sound sounded from under his feet, as if something was gently cracking, and the words inside the rock suddenly floated out from under the stone one by one, and the faint letter-shaped light dots were stacked one by one, and gradually formed a cube of hollow sculpture.

The cube was made up of soft lines of varying lengths, milky white in color, emitting a white light similar to that of Rises, and it looked different from every side, like a beautiful work of art. Diarlando carefully circled the thing, observing it from various angles for a moment, but was too late to touch it. Ryses flew impatiently, gesturing with his little paws, apparently wanting Diarlando to touch the thing quickly.

"What is this?" asked Dearlando curiously, finally complying with the young dragon's request and lightly touching the glowing object with his finger. The sensation of an electric current passing through his fingers instantly spread from his fingers to his brain, and he couldn't help but tremble. A strange syllable came out of his mouth, a bit like the call of some large herbivore, with more complex changes and some strange trills.

"Moowhirl~Yuia~Hetaye~"

Ryses immediately imitated a cry, and a moment later said in the well-rounded Turanda lingua franca, "The core of all things." The voice sounded very familiar, and Diarlando was stunned for a while before he could tell that it was actually his own childhood voice, which was about Dino's age.

"Are you learning to speak?" Surprise welled up, Dearlando happily scratched Reseth's chin, and asked curiously, "Can you say anything else?" The young dragon shook his head and patted Deirlandor's hand with his paws, then his chest.

"Do you want me to speak before you can learn?" Dearlando asked uncertainly, only to receive a round of nods from Rises.

Looking back at the cube that was still floating, Dearlando flicked it with his finger again, and the cube spun in mid-air, and the strange syllable that just now came back to his mind. Dearlando repeated the sides in a low voice, watching the cube spin to a sharp angle and aim at him, when he suddenly had an epiphany about what this thing wasโ€”it was a dragon script.

From this point of view, the pattern of the cube is very similar to the decorative patterns that appear in temples and prayer halls. Diarlando subconsciously touched his body, wanting to find a comparison with the ancient texts of the dragon language that Ruidan had copied to him before. It's a pity that this is the realm of dragons, and these things in reality can't be brought in.

If every dragon script is three-dimensional like this, then wouldn't all the words seen before be incomplete? Diarlando thought back to the tantric dragon pillars in the Euseled City, and realized that the carved characters on those pillars were all cubes, but others could only see the exposed side.

Thinking about this, Dearlando has a bit of a headache, if Resis has to follow him to learn to speak, then who will he follow to learn dragon language. This cube text, let alone understand, is difficult to write by yourself, and the pronunciation is so weird.

Resis snapped to the ground, his four paws slapping the rock hard, more cubes emerging from the rock, and then looked at Dearlando expectantly. Diarlando had no choice but to touch them one by one at once, and his mouth involuntarily uttered long and short strange syllables. If he hadn't heard it with his own ears, he really doubted that there was a human being who could produce some strange combination of sounds.

With each new word, Resace repeats it, and then again in Turanda's lingua franca. After getting a nod of approval from Deirlando, it will repeat it again. In the course of learning, every time Ryses mastered a word, the glowing three-dimensional word would disappear.

In this strange process, Dearlando discovers that a dragon script is often not a word, but a phrase or a sentence, and the complex meaning of these words matches its complex shape.

While trying to memorize the pronunciation, I carefully looked at the long and short lines of the squares, it was so difficult to learn this language as a human being, I didn't even have a piece of paper around me, and I couldn't even draw what I saw.

By Zuihou Dierlando, he had no brains to remember what he had learned, and the three-dimensional squares that looked the same were spinning around, making his head dizzy, sweat gradually dripping down, and even blurring his eyes.

Rysis didn't care, but kept stepping on new words, asking Diarlando to read them for him. Despite the chaos in his mind, Dearrando was reluctant to interrupt such a learning opportunity. Who knows if you miss this time, the next time you will have the opportunity to touch the dragon script will be when.

But after all, people's energy is completely incomparable with that of dragons, and when it comes to zuihou Dierlando, his eyes are completely dazzling, and he was originally so vigorous, but now he will make several mistakes if he wants to accurately point a palm-sized square.

In a trance, Diarlando seemed to see Fayle's figure huddled in the corner of this small space, and the mage, who was originally gray, looked like a transparent ghost in the poorly lit cave. He looked anxious, as if he was shouting something, trying to get Deirlando's attention while carefully avoiding Reses's gaze.

It's a pity that Dearlando's ears are full of strange dragon pronunciations, and he can't hear any other sounds. Another cube popped up, spinning, fast. Diarlando subconsciously raised his hand and slapped it, accidentally throwing himself into the air and falling into the mushroom wall on the side, right next to Fayle's shadow.

The mage immediately stretched out his slender fingers and grabbed him, trying to hold his hand, but unfortunately Fayel's shadow was only a phantom and had no substance, and he grabbed it empty.

He slammed his head on the rock-hard mushroom roots, and the pain brought Dearlando back to his senses. He shook his head, paying close attention to the shape of Fayle's mouth, before realizing that he was saying, "Wake up, or your body will die." โ€

Ryses jumped up and down on Dearlando's shoulders again, urging in his newfound lingua franca: "Read, read! Fair immediately ducked away, apparently terrified of the young dragon.

Dearlando looked at the excited young dragon and then at the panicked Fayle, stepped forward and raised his hand to grab the phantom of the mage, which was originally an illusion and immediately turned into a physical entity under the control of his will. Fayle grabbed his hand and pulled it hard, and he fell to the carriage with a thud.

Hearing the noise, the people who were guarding around turned their heads to look, and Zoya immediately jumped into the carriage to see what was going on.

Because of Fayer's hard pulling, Achille and Luna both fell to the floor, and the hands that had held Dino and Diarlandor were released, and they were now getting up in a daze, looking around in confusion, not knowing what was happening.

Diarlando, who was lying in the middle, still didn't move, but Dino's fingers twitched, and then he jerked up and stretched out into the sky, as if to grab something.

"Fayer!" With a shout, Dino rolled over and sat up, and then his eyes swept around Zuihou and fixed on Dierlandor next to him, and asked in surprise, "What's wrong with me?"

The mage asked tentatively, "Diarlandor?"

"Hmm...... What do you mean I'm going to die?" Dino responded to Farir's call as he checked the body lying next to him, in order to prevent the blood from flowing out and causing suffocation, Dirlando's body was slightly placed sideways, and the blood that was flowing from his nostrils had soaked a large carpet, and the heartbeat and pulse of that body were so weak that it was almost imperceptible.

"You can't go back to your own body?" Zoya asked anxiously as she crouched in the doorway, apparently not expecting such an outcome.

Dearlando woke up from a dream and realized that he was not in his original body. The little boy looked at his body in surprise, then at Yir and Zoya, and blurted out: "What the hell!"
