Section 71 The Light of Silver
Lance took the card and thanked him politely.
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, Borg vaguely asked Lance if he had anything else for sale. Naturally, Lance said for the time being that there was nothing worth auctioning on hand.
The shapeshifter didn't force it, but told Lance that if he had something good in the future, he would definitely send it to the Silver Star Auction House.
Lance nodded, and then asked, "Mr. Borg, I have a question for you. β
The shapeshifter said generously, "Just ask." β
"I just saw a wizard who sold a second-level witchcraft learning scroll, is there something like this that is sold near the City of Decay?" Lance asked directly.
Borg was stunned for a moment, he knew just now that Lance had bought the scroll. He had thought that Lance had probably bought the scroll for a treasure. But unexpectedly, Lance actually asked him where he still had a second-level witchcraft learning scroll to buy!
The shapeshifter is also a very flexible guy, and he sighed in his heart, secretly saying that this mysterious Mr. Lance can't be an alien second-level wizard, right?
You must know that second-level wizards are extremely rare in the City of Decay, and once one appears, it can stir up the situation on one side.
Borg had this guess in his heart, and his attitude became more respectful: "You mean that second-level witchcraft learning scroll, in fact, there is really no such thing in the City of Decay. β
"I know, though, that there's a place outside of the City of Decay where you can get a Level 2 Witchcraft Learning Scroll. And I'm sure that the scroll you bought came from the place outside the city. β
"Out of town?" Lance was stunned for a moment. He looked at Borg with an inquiring gaze.
The shapeshifter no longer procrastinated, and said directly: "That's right, you should know that the City of Decay is only the core of the entire Black Zeland, where most of the first-level wizards gather, and the main role of this city is trade, followed by potion cultivation, enchantment and alchemy. In the Black Lands, however, there are many wizarding organizations whose headquarters are not located in the City of Decay. For example, the powerful Flower Scorpion Society is just setting up a branch. β
"In addition to the Flower Scorpion Society, there are two other important wizarding organizations in the Black Lands, and they have also established their headquarters outside the city. One is the [Golden Lion], which has declined in recent years. The other is the Silver Light. This scroll of witchcraft learning. Nine out of ten may have been made by a few artisans in the Silver Light. β
"Silver Light?" Lance jotted down the name, "This is a wizarding organization similar to the Scorpion Society?"
"No, the Silver Light is actually very similar to our Silver Star Alliance, both of which are loose organizations. In addition to the Seven Great Artisan Wizards, there are some permanent staff. Most of the members are highly mobile free wizards - in fact. A considerable number of members of the Silver Light. He is also a member of our Silver Star Alliance, as there is no fundamental conflict of interest between our two organizations. Borg patiently explains:
"Also, the silver light is actually the name of a wizard's tower. Its true organization name should be the Silver Light Wizards Association. β
......
Half an hour later, Lance left the Silver Star Auction House with a handwritten letter of introduction from Borg himself.
Although the Silver Light Wizards Association is loosely structured, it will never admit members of unknown origin, and can only officially join the Silver Light with a letter of introduction from the local forces in the Black Zed. According to Borg, the wizarding tower, built by seven artisan wizards, was only about half a day's way from the City of Decay, and Lance drove the magic carpet himself, which was bound to be faster.
Since the seven artisan wizards were all second-level wizards, and two of them were good at making zuΓ² scrolls, it was the only place in the entire Black Land where second-level witchcraft learning scrolls could flow. For such an organization, Lance naturally won't miss it, maybe his current dilemma of lacking second-level witchcraft can be solved in the silver light.
In the middle of the night, he returned to the Sleeping Inn. He went to the next room and knocked lightly on the door, but there was still no response inside.
Lance frowned and pushed the door in.
The room was dark, and Lance lit the lamp to find it empty, exactly as it had been when he had set off for the auction.
"Where the hell did she go?"
Lance was slightly dissatisfied. He pondered for a moment, and set up a small warning spell in the room, which would automatically alert him whenever someone entered.
After doing this, he closed the door of Arashi's room and walked back to his room.
In the dark room, he put down a white crystal at any moment. In a short time, a bright white light immediately filled the room.
He loosened his muscles and walked quickly to the bed.
However, at this moment, he saw a figure curled up in a ball, lying on his bed.
"Arashi?" he looked at the girl on the bed with some surprise.
She lay on her side with her eyes closed, her eyelashes trembling slightly, and a few teardrops hanging from them. There were obvious tear stains on her face and pillow.
She did not respond to Lance's inquiry, and appeared to be asleep.
Lance thought for a moment, quietly draped the quilt over her, and then went to the table in the center of the room, and began to consolidate his knowledge of spells tonight.
......
The next morning, the girl woke up from her sleep. She turned, staring blankly at the ceiling for a moment, then suddenly jumped out of bed.
"Mr. Lance," she said somewhat unnaturally, "I ......"
"You slept for eight hours and nineteen minutes. Lance turned to the next page of the book, wrote down some words, and said firmly.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have slept in your bed. Lan was in a hurry, and immediately rolled over and got out of bed.
"I'm not going to hold you accountable for the time being, but if you wake up, I think we should go. Lance closed the book and looked at Arashi as he spoke.
"Where are you going?" asked Arashi blankly.
"I wonder if you've been replaced. Lance said helplessly, "Where is that shrewd maid?"
"Prepare for a moment to get out of the City of Decay. β
......
The wind howled in my ears. The white clouds poured back.
A thin shield slowly rose around the carpet, protecting Lance and Arashi inside.
"Mr. Lance, last night, I ......" Arashi said a little slurred, "I went to a place. β
"Something that makes sense. Lance said disapprerovingly, "I don't have any restraint on your behavior, you can go wherever you want." For me, as long as you can fulfill your duties as a maid when I need you. β
Lan Xiao's face turned red, and he said sneeringly, "Understood." β
"Now, you can report back on yesterday. Lance ordered.
"Ahh......h
Lance said unquestioningly, "As your master, I have the right to know everything about you. I wasn't interested before. But now. I suddenly got a little bit interested......"
Arashi shook her head helplessly, she thought about it and began to whisper.
Lance listened to her account with a calm face, and finally asked, "How do I know you're not lying?"
Arashi whispered, "We signed a blood pact. There's no way I'm going to lie to you. Moreover. I've made it very clear. There is no possibility of lying in every detail. Trust me. My talent for lying will definitely only be used for you, not for you. β
Lance silently mobilized the power of the contract. Confirmed that Arashi was indeed not lying.
He pondered for a moment before he said slowly, "I can't promise you about this matter. Let's take a look again, if I have time. β
Lan's eyes suddenly turned red, and she thanked her again and again.
At this moment, the flight altitude of the magic carpet suddenly dropped slightly.
Lance fixed his gaze, and they crossed the clouds, and below them was a vast forest.
In the middle of the forest, on a high mountain, there was a bright silver glow.
He landed the magic carpet on the high mountain and found the light on foot. It was a huge door made of sterling silver, set in the cliffs of the mountains.
Lance could only make out a small corner of the door with countless intricate runes painted on it, some of which were meant to ensure that only wizards with superior mental strength could see it.
When Lance threw Borg's handwritten letter of introduction into the mezzanine of the door, the following line flashed on the door:
γWelcome to the Silver Tower Wizards Associationγ
After a while, the door slowly opened. Lance walked in with Arashi.
The Silver Tower is a wizarding organization built in the heart of a high mountain, and when Lance walks through the door, he is greeted by a bright silver light.
The whole mountain has almost been hollowed out, and in the belly of the huge mountain, there are many wizard towers made of silver, among which the seven silver towers in the center are the highest and most brilliant. Most of the colors in the entire Silver Tower area are pure silver, and even the lamps lit on the stone walls are made of silver, which is very magnificent.
"Sir, this is your first time entering the Silver Tower, and although you have a letter of introduction from Mr. Borg, you still need to register. β
A squirrel covered in fiery red jumped out of nowhere. He also wears a pair of sniffle glasses on his head, holds a quill in his right hand, and a silver-white book in his left hand: "First of all, you need your personal information. β
"Name?"
"Lance. β
"Age?"
"Can it be kept secret?"
"Absolutely...... Next question, gender?
β...... Am I like a woman?"
"No, no, no, you know, you were recommended by the shapeshifters, and I'm not sure who you really are. β
"Man!" said Lance, righteously.
Squirrel pushed his glasses and wrote, "Okay, let's move on." β
......
After half an hour, the squirrel's information registration was completed. After paying for the cost of five magic stones and the cost of information, Lance finally became a peripheral member of the Wizards Association of the Silver Tower, and was free to move around the entire Silver Tower area, take on quests, rent the real yΓ n room, the alchemy room, buy items, and so on.
The squirrel gave him a book with his message.
"This Book of Silver is the record and basis for any activity you may have in the Silver Tower. If you have any day-to-day questions, you can also check it out. It will answer your questions. β
With that, the squirrel disappeared in front of Lance.
Lance opened the Book of Silver, skimmed over his information, and came to the page where he was consulted. (To be continued......)
