Chapter 101: The King

Updated: 2012-08-23

In the dark of night, the city of Morin will occasionally emit a terrifying scream from the ruins, or a creepy subtle chewing sound. The ruins are not as desolate as they seem, and thousands of lives compete and evolve among the corpses of the city.

The process of evolution is achieved through killing, and in the absence of fresh food, even mutant creatures of the same species will attack each other. What's more, there are no less than a hundred species of mutant creatures that inhabit the ruins of this city.

At the police station on Dorg Street in Moline, a living corpse in a police uniform is biting the neck of another female corpse in a dress. The strength of the female corpse was obviously far inferior to that of the male corpse, and although she actively resisted and bit at the broad shoulders of the male corpse, she could not prevent the male corpse from curling the prickly tongue into her neck, and then constantly taking away her veins and muscles.

Soon, the female corpse did not move. Then the male corpse had no intention of stopping. He violently tore open the woman's clothes, then bit down on the fattest chest, and then bit open the top muscles with his teeth. The male corpse took his hand into the female corpse's body, dug out the heart that was not fresh and threw it into his mouth to chew.

As the corpses of the same kind were gradually eaten, the stomach of the male corpse began to rise. And in those crimson eyes, something began to be more.

It was a sign of evolution, but unfortunately, the male corpse had not yet had time to meet the new life course. A black shadow flashed behind him, and the white, chubby neck cracked. The fracture of the vertebrae could not support the man's head, so it fell to the ground. It's just that the vigorous vitality of the male corpse is not completely dead, so his head continues to work.

Then the male corpse saw a strange man.

They belong to the same humanoid body, but it is as black as a shadow. The humanoid creature had long hands and legs, its arms were not at the ends, and its palms, which were much larger than those of ordinary people, were now combined in the form of sharp scissors. The ghostly head of the living corpse didn't know that it was the Shadow Killer who tore it apart.

After the Shadow Slayer cut off the head of the male corpse, he inserted his giant restored palm into the body of the living corpse, extracting a section of fat intestines. Despite their extensive diet, Shadow Slayer is a picky eater. No matter what kind of creatures they are, they only like to eat their intestines.

The other monster is less picky, and most mutant creatures are in its recipe, and Shadow Slayer is no exception.

First, the ground cracked silently, and then, when the Shadow Killer noticed, a lanky body flew out from beneath the ground. It wrapped around the Shadow Slayer like a snake, hundreds of pointed feet piercing into the Shadow Slayer's body like miniature steel spikes. Each steel spike has a hole in its port, and they create a powerful suction force that frantically sucks the flesh of its prey.

The Shadow Slayer tried to resist, and then was able to easily cut off the giant scissors of the male corpse's head, scraping through the hard shell of the piercing person, but nothing but splashing a large puff of spark. Feeling the threat of death, the Shadow Killer struggled frantically, even knocking out the window of the police station with the piercing man on his body and into the street.

Broken streets, cars with metal shells left everywhere. The two monsters crashed into some hapless car together, the car kept shaking, and Zuihou stopped. In the darkness, however, only the piercing man who swam out like a giant centipede.

The Piercers resemble centipedes that have been magnified by a hundredfold, but their shells are much harder. It was a thin, hard shell that was as strong as an alloy, allowing the piercer to defend against most attacks from the surface. But the abdomen of the piercing is not protected by such biological armor, and their abdomen is as soft and fragile as any insect. But the Piercer's hundreds of steel claws grow at the ends of their abdomen, allowing them to expose their most vulnerable positions to their enemies, while acting as traps to tightly wrap their prey around their prey with barbed steel claws.

This mutant creature has no mouthparts, but the thousands of steel claws have holes in the ports, which can create a suction force from certain organs in the body after penetrating the prey's body, thus draining the prey's flesh and blood like soda.

At this moment, the Shadow Slayer, who had been enjoyed by the Impaler, collapsed dryly in the back seat of the car like a deflated balloon. Underneath this body, except for the skin and bones, all the flesh has been shattered and sucked by the piercer's powerful suction.

The Impaler roamed the street, and the insect-like compound eyes were deciphering the Moline-shaped gymnasium at the end of the street from different angles. The gymnasium was now occupied by a pack of wolves, and on that group of wolves, the Impaler smelled clean flesh. The smell was like snow and ice, so pure that it drooled.

But the Impalade did not dare to approach that place, in fact most of the mutant creatures in the city did not. Although the wolves had only arrived in Morin more than two months ago, their ferocity and toughness had already made the original residents of Morin know that their new neighbors were not easy to mess with.

At that moment, the piercing man felt a cold gaze. This made the worm shudder, and then slid into a nearby bakery.

Brian withdrew his gaze, and the snow-white wolf appeared on the glass ceiling of the gymnasium, looking at the city in the dark like a king looking down on his own territory.

As the king of this Fenri wolf pack, Brian has his own pride and dignity. It does not take part in battle easily, and more than the dignity of the king, there is no rival in this city to match.

Only the king of the same race can be Brian's opponent. However, during the two months that Finri Wolf migrated from the Northlands to Morin City, Brian saw that although there were many kinds of mutant creatures in the city, none of them appeared. This is also the reason why the monsters in Morin City are chaotic and disorderly.

For a race, a king represents the future and hope of the race.

Without a royal race, there is no future.

It wasn't until today that Bryce spotted two rivals to match. One is a wonderful creature with the head of a lion and the wings of an eagle. In Brian's life, he had not encountered such a creature. On the other hand, although Brian didn't know what it looked like and what it could do, it made Snow Wolf care even more.

The former creature, though powerful, did not have the breath of a king on it. And the latter, although he had never met, Brian had already felt its calling.

The kings of the two races will have a wonderful creature resonance when they appear in the vicinity at the same time, which Brian sees as an invitation or summoning. And when the two kings meet, it means killing and war. Only one king will survive, and the loser will be the foundation of the winner's evolution.

This is an unknown rule that exists among deviant creatures, and even humans don't know about it.

Brian looked in the direction of Phoenix, which was the source of the summoning. Brian knew that there were a lot of humans there, as well as relatively dangerous weapons. But it had to go, besides another king calling, and more importantly. A new king is about to be born in its people.

Brian couldn't let any accidents disturb the birth of the new king, so he decided to fight, even if the human city was full of unknown dangers.

Just above the zenith of the gymnasium, Brian let out a long howl. The whistling sound went straight to the sky and then spread far away.

The next moment, nearly a hundred giant wolves rushed out of the gymnasium. They all looked up at the king's place, and in the midst of a hundred glances, Brian leaped from the gymnasium to the ground in an elegant gesture. After a demonstrative roar from the direction of Phoenix City, the wolf dynasty ran along the street with the wolves.

It was like a white lightning bolt that carried a bitter chill through the streets. Wherever Brian passed, the monsters that felt its breath were deep into their lair, not daring to let the wolf king discover where they were.

And in the gymnasium, there are nearly a hundred male wolves fighting fiercely. The evolution of living things comes from competition, and only one of the hundred male wolves survives. And the male wolf who survived will become the new wolf king!
