Chapter 30 [Violence is the Only Ticket]
The students have taken their seats.
When it's time for class, the tabby cat immediately jumps off the lectern and transforms into Professor McGonagall in the process.
Even though the students had heard the news, they were shocked to see it for the first time.
Professor McGonagall looked around, looked at the student's surprised expression, and nodded in satisfaction. However, in order to impress the students, she obviously prepared more than just Animagus.
Professor McGonagall flicked her wand, and the desk immediately turned into a wild boar and ran around the classroom.
A live boar went on a rampage startling the students, and it wasn't until the boar ran back to the podium and turned back into their desks that the students quieted down.
Professor McGonagall tapped on her desk, drawing the attention of the stunned students.
"Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous spell in all of Hogwarts. Anyone who gets naughty in my class will be asked to go out and never allowed to come back. β
"I warned you."
With that, Professor McGonagall pulled out a glass case containing a cup with a mouse's tail inside.
"A mistake made by a sophomore twenty years ago caused this teacup to grow a tail permanently. This may be a good warning to students who don't recognize the complexity and dangers of Transfiguration. β
Roque glanced at it, and he felt what appeared to be a field guide page on the glass, like the Sorting Hat.
I'll put this page away at the end of class.
McGonagall put away her teaching aids and continued, "Now you can open your Guide to Elementary Transfiguration, the first lesson today will be the basic principles of Transfiguration......
Transfiguration notes were simply the most of any discipline, and Professor McGonagall also talked about theoretical knowledge in large paragraphs, and the other little wizards saw that the theoretical knowledge was directly bigger, only Hermione quietly blossomed, and she felt that she was very compatible with this professor.
She also often took the initiative to answer questions from Professor McGonagall, and the two sang and sang very well.
This reminded Professor McGonagall of the two late little wizards in her own house, and her eyes suddenly became complicated.
Originally, on the day Harry entered Gryffindor, Professor McGonagall showed off a little in front of Flitwick, but who knew that the little wizard would dare to be late for the Dean's class the next day. It was Harry's performance in flying lessons that made McGonagall a little relieved.
But what is even more excessive is that Professor Flitwick showed off the next day, saying that his academy has two wizards who love to learn, and one of them is a super genius!
Even Professor Sprout complimented him.
Professor McGonagall looked at the handsome little wizard with curiosity, the other party's words were much less than Hermione's, and it was impossible to see how strong it was, but Professor McGonagall could see that Roque was indeed quite popular.
After the first lesson, Professor McGonagall began handing out matches and asking the students to turn matches into needles.
Transfiguration can be separated from Charms for a reason, compared to other disciplines, Transfiguration is very demanding, and Transfiguration can only be considered successful if it is done correctly.
The first attempt of the young wizards was naturally very difficult, and most of the students struggled to poke the matches with their wands, but the matches remained motionless.
Hermione, the only one, after a little trying, quickly turned matches into needles.
"Ravenclaw plus two points!" Professor McGonagall was pleased with Hermione's performance.
She felt more and more that it was a shame that the Sorting Hat hadn't assigned Hermione to their Gryffindor.
Roque, who was on the side, also took out his wand after seeing Hermione's success, but was gently held down by Teacher McGonagall.
"Flitwick said you have a beautiful wandless transfiguration, can you show me?" Professor McGonagall lowered her voice and said beside Roque.
"Yes, Professor."
Roque put away his wand, and with a flick of his fingers, the match turned into a beautiful needle.
Professor McGonagall furrowed her eyebrows, then continued, "Have you ever tried to turn a dead thing into a living thing?" β
As soon as he finished speaking, the book on the table turned into a little rabbit, running around the needle vividly.
Professor McGonagall stared at the rabbit on the table carefully, and after a long moment, she said slowly, "How beautiful...... It's hard to imagine that this is a wandless spell to do......"
"Ravenclaw plus ten!" Professor McGonagall stood up and shouted, then approached Roque and whispered:
"I won't give you extra points next time, your level is already too much higher than other little wizards, which is not fair to other ordinary little wizards."
"But as compensation, I can make an exception for you to take N.E.W.T. level classes with seventh grade."
"If you want to learn from Animagus, you can always come to me and I can give you some good advice."
Professor McGonagall has always liked to teach students according to their aptitude, giving different resources according to their performance, Hermione was given a time turner when she studied well, and Harry entered the Quidditch team of Gryffindor when she flew well, and has always maintained preferential treatment for genius wizards, which can be regarded as implementing the concept of elite education.
After all, she was a genius wizard herself, the first in her O.W.L. and N.E.W.T. grades, the chair of the schoolgirls, and the best newcomer to the most promising award in Transfiguration of our time as a student.
Until the end of class, there was no noticeable change in the other students except Hermione and Roque.
But Professor McGonagall was clearly used to it, and it was better to say that this was the normal progress of a young wizard, and Transfiguration required a lot of practice.
β¦β¦
Night.
The corridor, which was supposed to be full of people, was noticeably quieter at this time.
The courtyard of the bell tower in the southern area was slightly lit up at this time.
"Staff of the Duel"
Roque recited the code, and the door of the bell tower in front of him slowly opened.
As the door opened, the lively atmosphere inside suddenly came.
"Oh! Here comes a little wizard in the first grade. Slytherin's prefect, Gemma Farley, was a little surprised: "She looks so good...... Well, I guess, you're Rowke, a first-year Ravenclaw student? Are you here to visit the competition? β
"Yes, I'm Roque."
"But to be precise, I'm not going to visit the competition, I'm going to participate in the competition." Roark responded politely.
Yes?
Gemma Farley's first reaction was that she had misheard.
When Wesley Shepard of Slytherin heard this, he immediately stood up and said:
"Sorry, freshman, you need a ticket to participate in the competition."
He looked at Roque and smiled and waved his hand, as if to indicate that he didn't want to fight the first-year freshman:
"Roque, right! Now sit honestly in the audience, and don't let me do anything too much to you, a freshman. β
"So what exactly is an admission ticket? How can I get him? Roque asked, pretending to be curious.
Shepard's smile faded as he stared at Roque carefully, as if trying to know if Roque meant it.
But Roque didn't say anything, just quietly looked back at him.
Finally, Shepard's smile disappeared completely, and he immediately pulled out his wand from under his wizard's robe and aimed it at Roque.
"Faintedβ"
But before his spell could be recited, Shepard's whole body floated in the air.
And slammed into the ground! There was a "bang" sound!
Immediately attracted the attention of the others in the bell tower.
"It's violence, violence is the only ticket, right?" Roque smiled and walked over to Shepard, who was lying on the ground.
"Slytherin's ...... What should I call you? Tester? Or a janitor? β
"But magic is supreme, and it's very Slytherin style."
Slytherin prefect Gemma Farley looked a little surprised, but quickly reacted again, and immediately shouted inside:
"One more contestant!"
"Ravenclaw's ...... First-year freshman, Roque! β
